Uhaul changed my drop off location from the one previously reserved, when I got there they looked at me like I had two heads. Started telling me it was going to cost extra to drop it off there, even your crappy scheduling system TOLD me to me to. If I can avoid it I will never use ANY Uhaul services ever again. You people can't keep a reservation, it's embarrassing.Catherine P.

The center and the location were out of sync. Just like last time. It is really an issue. Nice people both, but incorrect information again and again. Last time it led to a 6 hour delay when we picked up the trailer. This time we asked if we could rent it and get the truck the evening before, and then just leave it in the lot. Center guaranteed me it would not be an issue. The location said no way. This led to me having to drive it back to the hotel. Extra hour of driving. And I still ended up paying and extra first day.David W.

The van we rented would not start after we loaded it. We waited over an hour and a half for a jump. I was still charged the regular price. It was very confusing process to get assistance. It was not a good experience. The roadside operator was nice, but could only do so much. I my helpers for all this waiting time. So no it was a bad experience. The Evanston U-Haul location changed our U-Box loading date and consequently, our shipping date, without informing me. This ultimately changed our shipping schedule for the U-Box and had a domino impact on our movers and unloading schedule in Oakland. I spent hours on the phone with the Evanston location and national U-Haul to be told there was nothing that could be done. It was a very frustrating experience and poorly communicated.Madeleine T.

Hire enough people to make sure the trucks... A: have the correct fuel B: are clean C: have damage noted ...rather than having the few overworked staff snap at me to "just use the app to take photos" when I walk up to them to report problems with the truck that I'm checking out. Over the years that I've been renting your trucks for my business, it has become obvious that you want us, your clients, to use your app so that we take on all the responsibilities that your staff SHOULD be handling. Hire enough people to do a decent job that makes your clients happy. I'm seriously looking to buy a truck rather than continue subjecting myself to this any longer.Joseph O.

The plastic tote bins are very heavy and do not come with anything to seal them closed. They were a bit dirty but not too bad. I will not likely rent the tote bins again in the future. Also it was always very challenging to get ahold of customer service over the phone and online.Val H.

The lot was overfull so could not make my return the night before. When I went to return the guys had not been watching and a couple of customers had parked vehicles blocking entrance into return area, and when pointed it out to them they first told me I was wrong, and then said want their fault, etc etc.T W.

This was not a good experience and we are typically easy to please customers. We rented the truck for a quoted rate of $19.95 and picked it up early morning on the scheduled day. We made the 20 minute drive home to load up. We then noticed the controls for headlights were missing (just a gaping hole in dashboard). We made the 20 minute drive back and told the agent the problem and he replaced with a new truck. He also told us our mileage cost would be reduced by 50% because of our inconvenience. This was documented. We then had to return home, now an hour late on our planned delivery schedule. We returned the truck right on time the next day and along with being charged an extra day we were told the cost was $29.95 plus full mileage cost. The counter agent was very rude when we questioned this and in a very unprofessional manner said "Hey, you wanted a new truck Bro. That changes the price". We again explained that we were offered a new truck because the first had no headlights. His response (again in a very disrespectful tone) was "Oh we fixed that in 10 minutes". Fixing the light and changing the contract fees was never discussed with us. Finally the manager came over and offered a $100 credit, but we were still overcharged and treated badly. We would not recommend and will not return to this facility or U-Haul. We had to make another trip and used Penske.MICHAEL A.

I gave an average rating because when I first rented I thought it automatically came with insurance not knowing. There was a disaster and I lost a lot. Lesson learned. After getting over that, and no other choice for the remainder of my items things went smooth and the storage facility turned out to be one of the best places to have my things at. However, beware! The only problem I had with this shopping Evanston is that they didn't have any lockers. Which is not their faults apparently a lot of people have a lot of storage. But the manager there Adam and the assistant manager Trevor were absolutely awesome. I would go back to that store specifically just so I can deal with those two guys.
