When I rented the trailer I paid for an insurance, but no one explained me about the coverage. I got my trailer stolen and the insurance I paid didn't cover a dime. The trailer got found and I lose everything inside.Jorge C.

Had to change uhaul locations from north pole to this one due to my reservation not being met, then took an hour to be able to hook up the trailer and leave. Thought that was the point of a reservation is to speed it up. Trailer was okay but the tire straps were frozen and ratcheted all the way down so luckily I had my ownDustin L.

The location is a bit annoying since it’s at a corner of a highway (ish) so getting in and/our out may require to make a U-turn. They’re low on staff. From a business point of view they probably do have the right amount of people, but as soon more then two people shows up you may as well pull a chair from your storage. The location's deficit is logistical; it's at the bottom of an off-ramp, for which getting back onto the highway in the opposite directionis only a mild inconvenience, except when a person blocks the drive-through at the U-Haul store, as they did yesterday, upon my returnig of the auto transporter and attempting to depart for home. The trailer was seemingly in fine shape, except for one of the safety chain rubber lashes that went to the forward chain on the bed of the trailer, for securing the vehicle in pace on the trailer deck. It was missing, and finding one to replace it required maybe 5-10 extra minutes. In tyhe end, the employee removed one from another trailer, as she was unable to locate a new one to replace the one that was missing..Dirk N.

Note. The auto light in hallway near locker was not working. All access 24 hr door had no handle on it and not able to enter. Manager let me in thru the regular door. I walked into the U-Haul store they informed me I could not Rent a trailer without getting online and purchasing the U-Haul prior to coming in I was very disappointed that they could not take care of me in the store also while I was in there another customer walked in he was told the same thing I watched him walk out and leave the U-Haul store he was an older gentleman and not everybody likes to purchase things online sometimes customer service and face is the bestDaniel L.

I had a reservation for the morning but they had no truck. Was told my truck was switched around last minute to accommodate someone else. It wasn't until nearly 5 pm and after several phone calls that I got a truck. People were great but reservation management was bad.James M.

Fix your website issues. It was a hassle to check in the equipment after hours (which I didn't know I would be returning the equipment after hours until I came back at the scheduled time.) I could not complete the check in process because the website was having errors so I called that night and the next day, and was on hold for over an hour for one of the calls, and I still didn't get help or someone to pick up the line. Then they over charged me for an extra dolly and I had to call again to get that resolved. As a Mom of two small children, I don't have time to be on the phone like that. Next time I will use a different place or figure something else out.Keeley G.

Have more staff on hand for faster service. One guy running the show is very slow if there are other customers. The one guy was great but he can only be in one place at a time helping one customer at a time. A 30 minute wait isn't good. Truck was excellent, clean, and efficient. Ultimately I got a bigger truck at the same price, but had to go to a different location. At both locations there was a bit of a wait. Maybe understaffed? Maybe each customer was just taking a while. The only thing I wish could’ve been different is that if I pay for 24 hour access, that I would be able to use the large automatic loading and unloading doors at the front of the building, rather than having to move in and try to fit everything through the small single side door. Although there was a keypad which I was able to put my combination into at the big front door, it would not open or unlock after 8 pm, which made it difficult to initially move my belongings into the storage unit, being that we arrived into Fairbanks around 9pm, and paid extra for 24 hour access. There are homeless people who live at the storage facility. When moving items to our floor, there are a few (transients) who stay and loiter why you move your items from the truck to your facility. My experience with Uhaul storage was terrible. From the first day the electronic key pad told me my door was still open when I left for the day. I asked an employee and they told me not to worry about it. After a few days I talked to the manager and was told he would call me by Tuesday (a week) to set up an appointment to fix it. Two months go by and I asked to speak to the manager because now the door has been dented (by a snow plow) and the bottom of the door popped out of the door tracks. Because of this the door wasn’t 100% secure. Also the door wouldn’t stay open when you were inside the unit. The door would fall at any moment. This was a huge safety concern. There was no manager to be found but their was a regional supervisor. She told me that the last manager moved back to the lower 48. I explained all my problems with the unit and she told me someone would fix it. She took down my information and said she would call in a few days. She finally called about two months later asking when I was available to meet someone to fix my unit. I told her that I wasn’t available during the times she had available. The times were during working hours. It would be super inconvenient for me to get off work for this. Finally we agreed to a weekend and a time. I met the repair man at the date and time we agreed on. He examined the door and agreed with all my complaints and said it was not as secure as it should be and that the door was dangerous. But he did not have any tools or parts to fix it and I would have to reschedule. This was the last straw for me. I found different arrangements and canceled my unit. My unit was 1078. As you can see most winters I could not get to my stuff. You would think that if it was impossible to have access, receiving a credit for every month would be simple. It was not.
