Trailer was so filthy it got us dirty just loading a car. ratchets for the wheel straps would hardly work. 1 worker on shift so wait times were long. Very unhappy with my rental and wish there was somewhere else to rent moving equipment so I would never have to use U-Haul again.NATHAN L.

I did my rental through app. It stated to skip the line but yet I waited in line . I think there should be at least two employees in the store and another that's able to move around. The interior of the van was dirty, although that is expected in winter in Fairbanks. It was also covered in snow. Again, expected. These are minor. Everything else was fine. The staff did a good job. Only other complaint would be to make sure vehicles' fuel is topped off before renting out. The gas gauge read "F" when I started. I used the van for only 19 miles, yet it took 5.815 gallons to fill the tank. Unless the van gets only 3.27 mpg, I'd say the tank was not completely full before I started.Rulon J.

Pick-up location gave me the wrong truck (correct size, but different than what was listed on contract), windshield wiper that needed to be replaced and 3/8 tank of gas (instead of full like contract said), and doors that were very difficult to close fully. Head light out, check engine light on, phone call telling us we needed to make sure we returned truck by 4 after a day rental. Plus we were on way but talked so rudely to. Then place was busy and was told to drop off keys which I waited instead because I wanted them to see mileage. Very unprofessional to rent a truck out for day rate two or theee times a day pressuring the renter to hurry back an hour before we had planned to be done.WARREN H.

All associates were friendly and helpful. The appliance dolly that I rented had seen better days. Bent, twisted and rusty. When I went to use it I found out the tensioning crank for the retaining strap had been so badly bent it no longer would lock into position and required being re-bent to lock. Renting equipment that requires the customer to make repairs so it can be used is not acceptable! I am disappointed with this rental experience.Kim M.

I renter an AT trailer and it was great. Tracked well and the hydraulic brakes were a dream. Easy to load and easy to strap down. The fender tips out for easy access to open the door and exit towed vehicle. The only thing I would change is make an option to buy a spare for long trips. On return only 1 person working at noon Monday. Fairly long wait. Hire more people. Did not ask for moving blankets and hand dolly but given anyway. Took up space had to call and wait on hold 30 min to speak to someone to make sure not charged. No call back as promiced. Again hire more people. Do not give people things they said no to. Given a $30 credit because of trouble which was nice. Person working on return day was wonderful.CURT W.

The young male kid that worked on a Saturday Sept. 19th, stopped his procedures to rent a simple appliance dolly to me , three times to read and respond to a texting conversation. Vehicle was a bit dirty outside, lots of mud under the chassis and wheel wells and bugs on the windshield, which made it difficult to spot any scratches dings or chips .did find some minor scratches and chips which had not been tagged..pointed them out but did find more after hosing off the truck before returning it. Overall cleanliness was acceptable, after all it is a pickup, but all the mud in the chassis did make a mess in my driveway once it was washed. So it all started in the morning I had to wait almost 15 mins in line which I wasn’t all that mad about the employee was working alone which I understand but I sign up and get my storage unit I go up to check it out and there’s already a lock on it... so I go back down stairs wait in line again for another unit go back up and check everything out and all is good so I go back and get my things from my place and drive back at about 415 they close at 5 so plenty of time so I go to swipe my card and “access denied account suspended “ so I had to go back in the office and wait in a long line again for them to not to even find me in the system! The employee goes and gets his manager Roy who after awhile finds me in the system but the employee signed me out of my unit so I have to do all the paperwork over again... after all that the issue still isn’t fixed I still can’t swipe my card!! So I get done with everything and have about 10 mins to put all my stuff up on the second floor unit and I finally finish at 5 on the dot and I’m walking out and I was locked in! I wave down the employee and he laughs at us!! But he finally lets us out and tells us he locks up at 5 and we need to do the 24 hr access if we want to stay late but if it wasn’t for them screwing up my paperwork I would have been long and gone before 5... I am already looking at different storage sheds because of how awful my experience was in just one day! Something needs to be done here it is a Mess!!!Robert R. | First Impressions

I went looking for heated storage and the manager got me into a unit quickly. The prices are competitive, and when I went in they were running a "first month free" deal. That's pretty great. After getting me set up with a rental unit, the manager assisting me walked me over to the heated storage area and explained how and when to access the space. The place was clean and well-ordered. My unit was broken into and items were stolen. I purchased a new storage unit needed a larger one. My ex had set up my old one. When setting it up the GM said oh it insured. Come to find out my ex husband put it under the homeowners insurance when it was under his name a plan that no longer exist. The GM didn’t even ask me or look just set it up. Over 1k of electronics were stolen. Had no insurance. An alarm goes off there they shut it off. Employees don’t even bother to check to see if there’s any suspect behavior going on. My unit was broken into. Missing 3000 dollars worth of stuff. Pulled u it had a red lock on it. Guess they put that on for people who don’t pay. Well they apologized for the error. Opened it up all my TVs, cookware, kids toys were missing. All the boxes were torn through. Unit trashed. Food wrappers. Cigarette butts in there. So the staff was helpful, but nothing worked, the card scanner in the customer service area didn't work, so I had to do a pin, then I they took me outside to try the pin there, and the pad hadn't been clean in GOD knows how long. It too didn't work. So I am unsure if I will be able to move in to my storage shed after hours this weekend. Then you had the woman on the 800# who didn't know what she is talking about, who didn't mind taking my money and my info but couldn't issue me an unit. So instead of being on hold again, and getting the 800# I drove into town to get unit issues. All over I would say everything added up, not so good experience. If a local storage company had been open I would have gone to them, 1) cheaper 2)local 3)they seem to take care of their stuff, and have it together. But out of desperation from a water leak that made the ceiling fall into my old place, I have no choice but to use you guys! The staff member who set me up did not understand the computer system, it kept giving him errors so it took forever to check out. I set up automatic billing with him yet I got a notice in the mail stating I was late paying the first month so I had to call back to get it fixed and that took too long. The worst is finding out that you don’t pro-rate the rent so I paid for a full month but moved out early and you are now free to re-rent space 2222 and make money off of me and the new tenant for the same time period.
