College is rat 🐀 infested from “one-end-to-the-other” of this facility! Nasty! Disgusting and severely disappointing as I go into my 35th. winter in Alaska utilizing U-Haul College-Airport-Steese-North Pole and even Anchorage while trapped for three years for my beloved husband’s cancer care. I have never ever-ever experienced such a completely negative experience as my rushed emergency-impromptu-move-into-College was following another death…-probate situation, where now I have to quarantine locker contents x2 & 3 lockers covered in rat urine and feces, that have now compromised my personal possessions and tainted mattresses & soft goods, that are now going-to-cost-way-more than the one month of storage, I have requested be ***refunded as a result of GM River Wade not doing his due diligence at ensuring doors and lights were even functional and RAT 🐀 free especially!🤮zero baits were visible ever! Employees were exceptionally professional and polite at ALL times, ***except for GM River Wade who had the mitigated nerve when I queried about locks that needed to be removed… a $50 fee *River Wade said, he had a grinder! Yeah, no thanks 👍 Thankfully after my keys being stolen via a family probate fiasco I was starting with new lock 🔐

The latest staff as of 01Aug26, have been super professional and helpful.
Carey B | Overall ExperienceThe storage unit was not well lit but the hallways were The stagf has one member in particular who is not very friendly most of the time. The office are reeked of Marijuana every time I went in there. I would warn people of these things and let them decide if they will be a patron of this location. ** At the time I rented my storage unit, the owner of the store was who worked the counter that day. He was pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. I wish all of my other experiences with this location had that same level of customer service and satisfaction.
Elizabeth K | Overall ExperienceI would have not needed a storage unit if I was not lied to about not having a 26 ft truck anywhere in Fairbanks or surrounding areas. I should have picked up my truck on Saturday 6/6. Was told that there was not any in the state. But having daughter in-law that had an uncle that works for u-haul for over 14 years. Gave him a call and found out there was one 5min away at a different u-haul facility. I had 10 guys lined up to help me pack up my truck when I got it Saturday now I had to pack it all up by myself and with my son took me all day. I was not happy that I was lied to and I don’t understand why another facility five minutes away they cannot call and see or now if there’s another truck there and if it has to deal with end of the month of commission for each facility I think that’s bull when someone’s traveling over 5000 miles away and now may lose the home that he put down money on because of commission or competition between companies. So yes I’m not happy with u-haul a the moment and will be tell this story to others.
