Check the tires before you send a single woman on a 3200 mile trip. When my daughter traveled from Alaska to Nebraska an pulled into driveway with metal cord showing on both front steer tires I was very upset. Customers service at Uhaul is poor they call once and if you don't answer they close the case.

There was a miscommunication regarding the cost of the rental and we were charged for extra mileage. Karen and the rest of the staff were quick to sort it out for me and reversed the charges on the spot. In any business there is always the potential for unhappy customers but these guys showed great customer service and dealt with the mix up quickly and efficiently.

First, you need parking. Every time I go here just finding a place to park is an issue. The person did expect us and help us get going. Also You really cannot go from Fairbanks to the San Francisco area in 9-10 days safely. The person here did give us more days but why do I even need to ask? Drive it so you know. You need 1-2 days on either side for loading and unloading. The roads in the Yukon and even some in British Columbia are always being worked on.

Make sure everything is ready when it's supposed to be. We had a reservation the day before and said it was ready to go. We get there and it's down for maintenance and the other auto transport was down for maintenance as well. We had to wait about 2 hours for it to be fixed. Then when we had it they called us about 30 minutes after we rented the auto transport, uhaul calls us asking when we was going to return it.

Regardless of how busy you are, it is never appropriate to ask a customer three separate times if you can bring in your rented piece of equipment early, then act annoyed when you say no. Additionally, while checking- in, the gentleman working the cashier claimed that my ticket didn't say that I had purchased the moving supplies I had already paid for. He was eventually overheard by another employee who then chastised him for being stupid and said, "Don't tell customers that shit." While he was right and corrected the issue, he did so in a manner that was highly unprofessional and likely negatively impacted the employee-to-employee relationship. I recommend you seriously evaluate the current organizational and leadership structure. And please, do something about the vehicles that block the only exit and require you to jump the curve (as instructed by an employee), with the vehicle that you are now responsible for all damages, in order to get back on the main road. I will not return.

Karen, Nolan and Matrika made this visit one of the easiest and painless experiences I have ever had with a moving company. When the receipt for my refund from Nolan did not come through to my email, I called and Matrika got it to me on a holiday even! Nolan was helping Karen when I pulled in to drop off my van and stopped what he was doing and came to help me. I didn't have to go into the building at all. It was quick, easy and wonderful. While Nolan checked out the van, Karen explained that I didn't have to go in and also told me that Nolan would make sure my account was taken care of. Nolan processed my account right in the parking lot with me watching him. He walked me through the return process step by step and showed me the receipt I would receive by email and processed the refund right on his phone. Process took less than five minutes. Thanks to the three of you for making my day!

Make sure the location has what you actually ordered. Although we got another alternative, I still would've liked to get what I wanted. It was kind of upsetting when we were told they didn't have it. But the sales associate gave us a good deal and his customer service was great. The move overall was nice and easy with the equipment that was given to us.

I parked at the drop off location and no one came out the building to assist me when the sign says to wait for someone. I walked in the building and asked for help since I was waiting for 20 mins. The guy just told me to unhook the trailer and leave it there. Then I was called because they said it was the wrong drop off location when I was specifically told by another uhaul employee to drop it there. Lack of communication and laziness.

We were not made aware hat all auto transport had been grounded due to safety issues - I had called to see if everything was on track for pickup or we would not have known. We had to make other arrangements because of the lack of notice. The only great customer service was the young man who helped us when we picked up our vehicle.I give a D- for poor customer service

Placed a reservation for a pick up and tow dolly that was confirmed online. The equipment was not available when I arrived. They did not honor the $50 payment if equipment was not ready. Personnel would not help to locate another tow dolly or check if one was avialable in town. Had to do my own search. Computer said one was avialable but when I arrived at the location to pick it up it was not avialable. This dealer tried to help with $50 payment but it was never recieved as it was supposed to be a credit on my card used to rent a pick up at a different location. Wasted 3 hours getting the run around from the agents and not much help resolving it.
