The customer service rep courtney was extremely rude. I was supposed to pick my uhaul up at 10 AM. I was unable to pick it up until 1 PM!! when i dropped it off i waited almost 40 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. The uhaul was dirty and smelled like urine.

Truck was not ready when scheduled. 4Hours late for pick up. No chance for a detail cleaning of cab. Brakes had been worked on but during some quick stops didn't seem to be working correctly. Mileage of 10 mpg was overly optimistic. More like 7 mpg maybe.

We requested on line rental, but were unable to get the equipment the days asked for. We spoke to traffic 4-5 times as the order fora 20ft truck was ordered as 15 foot truck. Because of the delays and errors, the price from trafficking was reduced to include both auto transport and 20 ft truck, but when we went to pick it up, were charged for AT at regular price. The responsible party at traffic never returned calls. In general, the truck and AT made it to destination so we are thankful. It was a tight schedule to return it on time, as we had a mishap on the way . (our fault). Would have been nice to have an extra day. Driver of truck did not like the downshifting when going down hills-drove him nuts.

The rep., Mr. Marshall, was exceptionally helpful. He went above and beyond to assist our u-haul needs by re-wiring our hitch lighting adapter when we found it was not functional. He’s an example of what customer service needs more of and we can’t thank him enough!

This location has the poorest customer service. They get rude with customers and on the verge of threatening customers. The manager and employees use profanity and do not respect customers. My daughter was in the car when talking to the manager and he stated that his employees dont know $h!+. If I could give them no stars I would. They did not like the fact that I was given extra days because of the multiple issues I had picking up the trucks. I tried to work with them but they made it entirely impossible. I will do my best to avoid this location at all cost.

I've been charged for an additional day and getting a refund is a painful process. First, on hold for long periods of time. Second, the general manager from the location that it was rented from will be in touch with me in 48 to 72 hours. That is a long time to fix a mistake. I would consider that poor customer service policy.

The storage unit we had rented had standing water, mold on the walls, mold on our furniture. The Uhaul truck was given to us with less than a quarter tank, which I understand is against your policy. It was dirty, windows in particular.

The tank was not full and the lady at the counter told me it's between 7/8 and full, which was not true - it was at 3/4. I got only $15 refund for filling up the tank (it's hard to get it to exactly the same point, especially if it is not what UHaul tells you). Otherwise, everything was OK. The car did strange things in tow mode.

Truck was clean on the inside of box and cab but the glass was terrible. Bugs were thick all over outside of truck and windshield. Windshield looked like it had been parked under a birch or cottonwood tree, covered in sap. It took some doing to clean the glass to be able to drive safely.

The service was slow and then they don’t really go over your contract and time frame they just tell you to sign and assume your going to read it . Then they call you being rude not knowing You were unaware of the specifics of the contract .

Service was phenomenal, but the location really sucks. Very difficult to get to the location, and very limited space. It's my only u haul service I use because the staff goes the extra mile to fulfill pur needs.



The 3 employees that were working appeared to be over there head. They each had to assist each other with the system. A customer was helping one employee figure out how to input the reference. Our rep James page just tired to push us out the door he was so frazzled. We rented a dolly for two days and he rented us two Dolly’s. When it was returned he failed to enter it in the system. I was called twice by Karen whom I explained my situation was also in a rush saying ok we will look into it. Second phone call a week later I requested to speak to a sup who handled it. Poor service everyone seems to lack system knowledge as well as customer service. They need to be trained correctly or fired.

Honor your contract. We rented twice during the summer months of 2018. The first time we were told the 26’ truck was not available, though we reserved 2 months in advance. The second time, the truck was 3 1/2 hours late. We were compensated for the second delay, but we’re then delayed in driving. (7 hour drive)

Once again U-Haul fails in a big way. I reserved a 26 foot truck and there was no truck at the location when I got there to pick it up. I had five people waiting for me to come back with the truck, people I was paying to stand around doing nothing. The man who checked me and could have cared less whether I had a truck or not. Every single time I deal with U-Haul U-Haul fails. I will be contacting the owner of this location for reimbursement for the extra money I spent taking three trips to the storage area instead of one. It’s very sad to me that there’s no competition in Fairbanks, U-Haul is the only game in town so they don’t have to do anything to improve their customer service, which sucks. Very disappointed, again with my experience with U Haul.

I made an online reservation for 12:30, and checked the night before to make sure they had it. But when I showed up, I was told the truck I was assigned had not been returned at 11. I have a tight schedule, and ended up having to come back in the evening to pick up a truck for the next day, and had to call in to work, rearrange my week, and reschedule the three people I had lined up to help. They had to then rearrange THEIR schedule. There has to be better communication to renters, letting them know that someone is scheduled to pick up their truck at a certain time, and that if they need more time, they will have to schedule on a different day. I understand that this company can't control the inconsiderate nature of their customers, but they CAN anticipate and give customers the information they need to make sure the schedules work out better. They can also stop scheduling reservations in 6-hour increments that don't work. If I rent for a day, the truck should be mine for 24 hours, so schedule conflicts like this don't happen.
