Overall I am not happy with U-Haul as a company. For this location in specific it started off well. The associate was super helpful and was able to find me a truck because my initial reservation at another location did not have a truck.. When I came to return the truck it was a completely different situation. I went inside to return the key and The associate (different from when I picked up the truck) told me to go talk to the guy outside and he would get me checked out. I made sure there was no process that I have to do inside to confirm that I returned the vehicle by asking again to the inside associate. He confirmed to go talk to the guy outside. When I went outside to talk to the outside associate he informed to me to leave the keys in the truck. I asked him again â€œare you sure that you want me to leave the keys in the truck?â€ He said yes. I pointed to exactly where I parked the truck (Parking space T) and made sure he saw. At this point I didn't feel comfortable about the situation so I began to video and time stamp when I returned the vehicle in case a situation came up...this was on Saturday.. SURE ENOUGH, the manager called me on Monday saying they could not find the keys but they saw I returned the vehicle. I have been trying to reach the store and my calls are sent to the call center. So, I am still awaiting a call from the manager with an update. Overall, I am not happy.MICHAEL S.

Trent Telford was a class act ! His quick thinking and active response to a computer mixup was impressive to say the least he's management material in my opinion, working short handed with a long line of Saturday unruly customers it was a miracle I was able to walk out of there with my rental. I want to thank him personally for taking the time to handle such a situation. You should be aware of this kind of rare emotional intelligence and reward it accordingly. Hello, I would like to file a dispute regarding this contract. I booked a 15 foot truck through the phone a week ago, provided all of my personal information including my credit card information to a staff representative, because the website said that's the only way to book a one way truck. Fast moving forward, I waited for 2 hours to get a 10 foot truck, I had to take it because the movers I booked has already arrived. U-Haul had totally failed to provide any update on whether my contract was honored or was throw away?!?! I booked the truck, next thing I know, I contacted another representative to schedule a drop off in Manhattan, New York and got sent out to Bronx because â€œthis is the only place where they have drop off key box for after hour drop offâ€. Drove there and waited more than an hour because â€œthere is a line for drop off that's start down 3 blocks, you can't just park your truck and goâ€. Next thing after I waited and missed my bud, I called a customer service representative to dispute and at least claim my $50 back and was noticed â€œmy reservation was made online, not through the phoneâ€ so you must have seen the disclaimer and agreed to it!?!? Okay, so that seems to be a lot of miscommunication here. Please reply promptly on how you want to proceed as I have been advised to take legal action, including a class lawsuit against the company. My entire uhaul experience was terrible start to finish. I ordered a 24/7 truck so I could just get it and go. Not only was my reservation not honored for 8:30, but I then proceeded to not be able to do a 24/7 truck through an app. Then I was on hold for half an hour making it 9am before I even was able to speak to someone. Then I had to go to an entirely different location where I had to wait in line for 20 minutes before someone even spoke to me. At this point my reservation was already an hour behind. Then once I got the key the man didn't even walk me out to the rental to go over things with me. Thankfully I have experience driving large vehicles but it seems exceptionally strange to expect someone to just know what they're doing. I didn't get my rental extended or anything even though uhaul screwed me over so I had to rush rush rush in order to get the vehicle back in time. On top of that the tire light was on inside the vehicle with no explanation as to what was going on. For $64 I'd expect a heck of a lot more from an organization.BRITTANY R.
Mobile pickup was a disaster. When I arrived roughly 5 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, another customer was driving away in my designated truck. This invalidated my mobile pickup and I had to go into the store where one employee was working, none of the trucks were checked in yet to be rented out, and more than 10 people were in line. After more than an hour of waiting and 30 minutes after the movers I'd paid for had arrived at my house, I was able to get a different truck. I don't blame the poor individual trying to manage dozens of customers and trucks on his own at this location, but U-Haul cannot claim to offer easy and fast self check-in if that's not actually possible. Multiple other people at this location had similar issues and had to go inside to wait in line despite having set everything up in advance for self check-in. Absolutely would not recommend this location or the self check-in process.ROSS H.

The Trailer I reserved was not there when I arrived (I did not receive my guaranteed inconvenience fee). The staff attempted to give me a different (bigger) trailer, but not one specifically to transport motorcycles which is why I needed it. This trailer was full of trash (I have photos). I cleaned the trash out myself. After hooking it up, the electronics did not work so I could not take this trailer. They had to void the new contract. Then after wasting more than an hour the trailer I reserved was returned (over an hour late). They were able to get this trailer for me (hooked up incorrectly). I had declined the insurance twice (first on the rental I reserved which was not there, then on the rental with the bad electronics). When I received my final bill I was charged the $8 insurance.David A.

When I picked up the Uhaul the mileage and gas didn't match what was on the paperwork. I brought it to their attention and was told to just upload pictures to the link on my phone. WhenI returned the equipment I was initially charged for mileage I didn't use and gas because it wasn't updated in the system. I had to come back to the location after I left to get this corrected. Just seems like the attention to detail wasn't up to par today. Much different experience than all the times I've used this location before.Ronald H.

Central reservation center should make sure the pick-up location (originally Sharon Hill) is actually open at the specified time. Glad I checked; it opened at 11:00 for my 8:30 reservation. Had to find another pick-up location with a one way truck. The Allegheny location was excellent. I will go to them directly next time.CHARLES H.

Guy that gave me my rental didn't mention and damage too the vehicle nor uploaded the proper photos that there was damage so I uploaded my photos once I seen them also the change oil light is on but the most disturbing was when you made a left with the vehicle it was rubbing underneath the fender where the damage is. On the return dude outside says one thing about returning process and dude inside safe something different and didn't want to inspect the vehicle and charge me or give receipt accordingly and that's not the way business is run it's a customer's money that wanna be charged the accurate amount and not have to call to dispute anything that wasn't accurate.ANTHONY T.

Had no line to wait on when I was there. So processing was simple and fast. Not located on busy main streets so getting rental in and out was easy. Driver door does not seal when closed so driving on highway have a bunch of air and wind noise coming in.NIM L.

No real issues. I left my stuff in a unit, my stuff stayed in that unit until I removed it. The only issue I had was getting stuck in the loading area between the outer and inner doors when I was retrieving my sruff. It took about 30 minutes to get a call up to the desk to get them to open the outer door for me so I could drive the truck out. Staff was unfriendly, unhelpful and seemed very unwilling to even answer the simplest of questions such as "What storage unit number am I in?" multiple rat traps were not cleaned and still had dead rats in them. Outside entry door propped open with mop bucket - so anyone could walk in and steal from any storage unit. If I didn't already schedule movers to unload my uhaul rental I would have driven away immediately and gone somewhere else.
