Provide a Uhaul that has more than 47 miles left on the tank when first received which is beyond ludicrous. Additionally, that same gas gauge read 30 miles left after 10 miles were added onto the odometer reading so it's off by 1.7:1, adding to the paranoia of how much gas I began with. To start off the person at the front desk was very rude and seemed like he didn't wanna help at all. Secondly once the reservation process was done i went to pick up the dolly and there was an issue with the turn signals not turning on. It took the technician an hour to fix. After we had all that fixes up we left and the pin to hold the ramp was missing. I had to go back and tell the guys that we need a new ramp. The technicians told me that the guy at the front desk knows that specific dolly had issue before and refused to change it. It took nearly two hours for me to even leave the lot with all these inconvenience happening.Paul M.

Terrible experience took pictures of the van b4 using it the back was dirty when I brought the van back they said I was going to get charged $25 then issue with the gas and mileage. What's the point of taking pictures b4 using the van andon'thave access to those pictures too prove my case. Title: Very Time Consuming Went in to reserve a cargo van after completing the required form and other requirements was told to come to pick up the van what irked me is that the time to complete form and the time to pick up van is almost the same and I thought all I had to do sign form and pay for the bill my suggestion is to complete everything in one shot the day to make a reservation and the next day all you have to do is just show your completed form with proof of payment to the attendant for pick up it's like doing the work twice it's just so time consuming for everyone involvedâ˜¹ï¸Ullman S.

I was disappointed to find that the dolly I rented was not available at the time of pick up. While I was refunded, it was my plan to rely on this equipment and the refund did not adequately address the additional travel I had to do in order to secure another dolly on such short notice. It took more than 10 minutes to get the van after I got the key because they could not find the van. Once I got the van, the van had broken right mirror. Then, they said that you broke it so quickly. I think there needs to be more customer service reps at the counter when it's busy, and courtesy goes a long way so simply letting customers know you'll be right back shows that you have them in mind. Otherwise I'd say there's some really good staff on hand that go out to help do their part. Great place overall. Oh I do have one other complaint as for the last 2 rentals the gas meter was wrong(I had to take pics) and also the mileage was wrong. Still like this placeSean R.

The website advertised 24 hour access moving from out of state and living temporarily in a hotel it worked best for me as i have used that feature for other out of state moves in the past usually for an additional small fee. when i arrived with a fully loaded u haul truck the front desk attendant stated that it was for "commercial guest only" businesses etc. I stated that that was clearly stated on the website or on the signage that was next to the desk. She stated that's just how it is. Having to catch a flight back i was put in a position of having no choice but to complete the move in. When i was moving out i asked for 24 hour access again because i am again completing this alone and when i called the gentleman i spoke to said that they stopped offering that service a while ago and extended the normal access hours. I advised him that i am requesting this as a last resort and he reiterated that the service is completely unavailable to everyone. I advised him of again the website and the posted signage in the facility and they stated that "we just didn't change it yet" and reiterated the hours are from 5am to 10pm implying that that should be more than enough time. I think its unfair for someone who does not know my life situation or responsibilities to decide that their hours should not be a problem for me. i work nights and have people to take care of during the day. i shouldn't have to explain that to someone to get the services as advertised when that was the reason i chose that storage facilityDAVON P. | Overall Experience

While this could have been a review that would have been more average, I had a great experience with U-Haul providing some incredible customer service. I had rented a truck from one U-Haul location and drove it to another U-Haul location across states. The location I brought the U-Haul too was a storage facility where I had rented a storage unit. The elevator at this location was broken and it required me to use the back stairs to go up 3 flights of stairs with all my livelihood into this storage unit. The staff there was extremely friendly and accommodating because of this and were able to compensate me graciously for this experience and their apology came from a place of true empathy for a customer. The staff at the 25 Jefferson Street location in Stamford, CT that were working yesterday deserve some recognition for this. At a time like this during the pandemic, it is acts like this that make a company, that make customer service, that make people's days and they remember these moments. Thank you UHaul, and please make sure to recognize the staff that day who helped me, they deserve it. I will continue to be a long term Uhaul customer because of acts like this and the payoff on the bottom line will be well worth it for the compensation that was provided out of the kindness of their hearts. I have been a uhaul customer fir many years, this facility was horrible. Our belongings were destroyed by water damage, mold and mildew destroyed our storage boxes and possessions. It was disgraceful!! The precious valuables were things treasured from years, decades ago and no value could be put on them. We will never get those pictures, diplomas and various other treasures our family saved. Shame on uhaul and their flushing facility and employees. I disappointed to rented U-Haul Van. The day befor I pickup, I came to U-Haul saturday to make reservations that I needed the 15'N Truck Van, same as I had rented before, I sad. But that U-Haul employer he dont answered, he just printed the papers he needed and he give me the copy. Than he serving athers customers. On the ways I go home I repeat to read the paper he gives to me that I realized that I got big citing from that guys, he dont give me the 15'N truck Van as I ask hem, he just put van in the paper. The nex days when I came to pickup the car, I asking again the Van'15 N, but he answered 'you get what in the paper printed.!!* This is actually reason I can't returned the van as shedulled...!
