I renewed my drivers license in KS the day before I came to NY to help my son move. In KS they give you a paper, printed license until the official permanent license arrives in the mail. I brought my passport and my federal gov't employee ID with me, and your guys went out of their way to help me get our truck. This had to be done, because we were moving my son's equipment into storage that day and driving to Chicago the next. I REALLY appreciate all of their efforts, which were substantial. They are fantastic human beings.

The trailer was a little larger than what I needed it for. The uhaul site did not mention the 4x8 trailer having a ramp. If I knew the 4x8 was available with a ramp I would have rented that one.

The online return would not work on my iPhone after several times . My camera would not connect. Used my wife’s iPhone and worked. Still spent 40 min trying to get it to work very late at night. The people I called several times to help were very friendly and helpful

The 24//7 system was crazy and wouldn’t let me pick up my truck without an agent resetting something. Fortunately, there was still someone there when I went to get my truck or I would have had to wait until the following day to get a truck. Upon return, while following the directions on the app I was repeatedly told by an agent not to follow the app for dropping off the truck and to do as he advised rather than what the app was telling me do. Alonzo at the flushing facility got irate when I completed my drop off via the app and didn't just leave the truck with him. When I said I was dropping the truck off through the app he advised that he didn’t care, my doing the drop off via the app makes him have to do more work. Honestly, that didn’t matter to me. I completed my drop off via the app and left the truck where I said I had through the app. He made it difficult to complete my drop off by yelling at me the entire time that I was making him have to walk more and do whatever he needed to after my drop off was completed via the app that I was just making him work and walk more. The professionalism displayed by him was just not there. The girl who helped me even though they were closed the day before was so sweet and helpful but drop off was simply a nightmare to be yelled at the entire time that I wasn’t doing what he wanted vs what the app says to do for drop off.

My experience with Uhaul was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. Less than 24 hours before I was moving, I was contacted and told that I’d have to pick up my truck rental over 3+ hours away because the area I was submitted to pick-up my rental was a “preferred location and not confirmed”. After being told that, I cancelled that reservation and switched to what I thought was a closer location in Queens because it was the only location with my equipment rental.. they switched the pick-up location AGAIN. Unable to switch or look for another company with such short notice before my move, I had to go 2+ hours out of the way to pick-up my equipment the morning of my move. I received over 4 calls from U-Haul the day before my move and there seemed to be zero communication or record of communication between me and the other U-Haul reps that called me. I was then incorrectly charged over $335 (on top of my original purchase of $150) for going an extra 700+ miles (which is completely false and absolutely incorrect). After emailing to dispute the charge, I received zero response from Uhaul. After that, I called and was told that someone would call me within 72 hours.. that was over 5 days ago and I still have yet to be contacted. Never again will I use U-Haul.. completely inconsiderate to the customer and terrible terrible experience overall. I’d 100% recommend looking elsewhere.

We were supposed to drop off at wood side per a text I received telling me my original location was full. We arrived at wood side and the personnel there said that they were full so we had to go to flushing. It was impossible to figure out where to leave the key after hours. Very stressful end to a moving day.

This was the absolute worst experience. I ended up spending money( I didn’t have) on Uber’s because the reservation I had which I booked a month in advance, canceled the day before a 730am pick up in MY neighborhood and ended up having to go further out to another location where there was supposed to be a lock box and the truck wasn’t available then they changed the reservation to a location 20 miles away from my original pick up location. I was only going one mile to begin with. It’s now 1130 in the afternoon I’m late moving all my stuff and the reservations I had with movers I’m $60 in 2 Uber rides later and finally get a truck I have to drive 20 miles to do a less than one mile move. I called uhall center 5 different times and got hung up on every time with no help at all. Went personally to the original location and they contacted a “manager” Michael, who was supposed to contact me and never did. This is on top of the mileage and what I had to pay for the truck I’m out of pocket over $200 and has been a complete waste of time. I’m beyond annoyed with this experience. I should be reimbursed for the entire experience I had to go through. But there’s no one actually that cares to help. Unbelievable experience. Thanks uhall

It would be good if I got my 10' truck that reserved. I reserved my truck for 11am and went to pick it up at 12pm and was told it was my fault and they did not have a truck for me. Employees at the location are uneducated and just not customer service employees.

Not enough help at this location. Waited 45 minutes on a super long line for my truck even though I did express check in. Absolutely unacceptable to cheat your customers out of time because you're unprepared for your volume of customers. Then my truck did not have the equipment I requested and paid for ready. I also ordered a dolly and they "ran out" and substituted for another hand truck. This was a massive inconvenience for me. There was one person who was kind during my rental, I believe his name was Marc. He had a great personality and was patient with my questions and assuring me. Everyone else was ill prepared for service. Then when I went to return my truck, having been cheated of 45 minutes of use, this idiot young lady at the counter called my name for my receipt and then left her counter to take care of another customer and had me standing around for 15 to 20 minutes. Someone else finally came over and asked if I was being helped. I said the other one called me over and then left me standing at the counter. This lady then handed me my receipt and said "oh." I'm so disappointed. Uhaul a major company, and all your employees should understand the customers need to make the most of their rental and understand all the processes and rules, not be short with us. I think you should do a refreshed training on how to help your consumers. Not pleased.

Long wait. Only one person assigned to lot at a huge facility. Used on line express check in but still had to go through same process at the facility. Had to wait forever in line to check in even though I had checked in on line and then I had to present my paperwork outside and wait another 30 minutes becuase there was only one person helping customers in the lot. Will never rent from Uhaul again due to incompetency of employees at pick up facility.

Merle in Customer service LIED to me. She confirmed to me on Saturday that the U boxes were moved from Queens to Brooklyn where my reservation was made and my movers had quoted their rates to. However on Sunday they told the movers that they boxes would only be available in Queens which created a big problem. Merle specifically lied to me on Saturday. Sorry but she did.

I received electronic copy of my receipt though my email and noticed they processed EZ fuel charges $31.88 Regardless I fueled my truck myself. It took me 15 minutes on the phone to have them reverse these charges.

I'm extremely upset at the info i was givin and poor knowledge of the sales person who helped me. I came in withe my 2018 bmw x5 and specificly told the sales person i would like to install a hitch and a power connection to be able to tow a CAMPER TRAILER. And when i came back after a few hours they installed the hitch but the power connection they gave is worthless for me. As its only made to use on small trailers without an independent braking system. That's when the master installer came out and told me "Oh you will need to come back and reschedule to have that installed" and obviously pay more which is unacceptable!

The only good thing about this facility is the convenient location. I had to scan and upload my driver's license but the app was not working. Same thing happened when I had to upload photos of the existing damages of the truck. The truck had tire pressure and check engine warning lights on but I was told by Uhaul staff that it was just bad sensors and they did not have other truck available. Since my rental was just for local use and I did not have time to escalate the issues, I took the truck anyway. Luckily nothing happened during my rental.

Employee tried to overcharge me on mileage and rental fee beyond agreed on contract. I clearly put more gas than I left with, and tried to charge me for gas. I didn't even get the large dolly I requested.

Prior to my pick-up date, I had arranged for specific price matching with a telephone agent. At the store during pick-up, the 24/7 automated truck pick-up glitched and I had to then speak with someone at the location. They then attempted to charge my tax ontop of the final cost which I had agreed on with the lady on the telephone prior to my booking, though this wasn't the store worker's fault, but a system problem. It took me over an hour to resolve this issue, making an already stressful day more stressful. To top it off, I had to resolve the issue by calling Uhauls customer service number, which is what took the hour. When I spoke to the regional Brooklyn scheduling person named Carlene (to whom I don't even know why I was transferred), she was very rude and dismissive. However, she did offer a compensatory credit, which helped, but did not make up for her attitude.

I wanted a small trailer (4x7) which would have cost me around $15. I had a hitch but was told because I didn't have the wiring I can't get it and so I rented a truck which ended up costing my about $75. I was disappointed since when I was reserving the trailer online, there was no mention of needing special wiring. The website was filled with attempts to up-sell and to accept additional equipment, so if you did have special instructions it was lost in all the advertisement. I have used U-Haul for many years and will probably use it again, but this experience left a bad taste.

There is no level of customer appreciation at this location. All employees seemed indifferent to customers. No polite greetings. Check in process was done in slow motion by an employee that worked as if she was serving a prison sentence. Obviously a staff without direct supervision or management. It would be nice , if a customer comes to check in or check out that they are greeted and asked how can I help you? I will be right with you.... etc. instead , I entered the location, employees visibly see me and just ignore. Carrying on conversations with eachother. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL LOCATION.

Very helpful staff and relatively fast set up process once I arrived. Attendant stayed on to make sure the lighting worked on the trailer. Very good service. Took the trailer 1700 miles in a move and everything went as smooth as it could. Much thanks to U-HAUL for that.

Even though I had a reservation it took about an hour just to get the vehicle, had I know I would have shown up earlier. Its unfortunate because it can distort the schedule by a lot.

Definitely no! I was late for pick up time. Then my reservation was canceled when I get there, it’s definitely without any notice. And I didn’t know because there is no any policies on the website and that kind of information on the confirmation email. I know I went late is my fault but I waited in a store for about 4 hours! And the staff was not helpful. After I return the car I saw they charge me twice because they changed my reservation for 3pm -11 pm from my original reservation was 10 am - next days 10 am 24 hours. It was really foolish experience!

Nothing bad just a few adjustments, I would say a bit more info for after hours from the main office, as a just in case because one never knows. However, they staff who gave us the van outside were thorough. They explained a just in case and it was amazingly helpful. Also the picture for key drop off on the website wasn’t helpful it wasn’t orange and/or by the entrance. Otherwise fabulous customer service.

did NOT like the fact that once you rented the car from here and walked out the door, THAT WAS IT; CUSTOMER SERVICE ENDED. After getting the truck, got an email later in the day stating that my drop-off location was CHANGED PER CUSTOMER; not true! and this is in the middle of a move, what if i didnt check my email??? very bad customer service when calling back to ask for help. I DONT work at uhaul so how do i know the resolution without asking.

The check in and renting plus pick up process for mobile has to be a bit less clutter less and streamlined. Put the offers at the end not before the checkout steps. It’s annoying.

What’s the point of online check in?I still had to show drivers license,credit card and verify second number. More than 1/2 hr waiting on line to complete pickup. Truck had a high water temp reading buzzer going off half way through the move. A very poor customer experience at this location.

I received 2 tickets on my uhaul because of parking on a residential street. I was not aware of this rule and it was not explicitly told me at the time of rental. Although it may be in the contract, I believe it is Uhaul's responsibility to its customers to alert them to this detail. I looked this rule up online and I got varying rules so it would be beneficial if the authority a commercial vehicle rental company would advise of the specifics re. this. Thank you.

#1. For the four wheel dolly I reserved a week ago, they didn’t have it. I received a two wheel dolly instead. I had no choice but took it. They just said they didn’t have it. #2. I l also booked for a mover service. They didn’t come. Yes they didn’t show up. I understand u haul does not provide this service directly but they should have reviewed and chosen the right movers on their list. Finally, I would never use U haul again. Thanks,

Only location with available equipment - had to drive an hour away from our home and back to pick up. Had to rent next size up because none of the size we wanted were available in all of Long Island. Size we rented was then not available but they upgraed to the next size up free of charge which was very nice (but now two sizes above what we originally wanted).

I spent 15minutes preregistring. When i arrived there was one cashier working and one on the phone. I was forth in line, I left 30minutes later. I assume you’ll get there with ur technology, but please get there faster. Also, it would be appropriate to mention thay one needs to refold their packing linens, upon purchasing, rather than upon returning of vehicle.
