Horrible customer service! On the line for an hour and 10’ to pickup even though I had done e-check in. The lady at the register told us to be back by 9pm to drop off. The location was closing at 8pm!!! I was there at 8:05 and the gentleman was checking in the previous car saw me and he didn’t even tell me that they were closing. He walked away and locked the doors. I was trying to figure out what to do and after I was knocking at the door he told me “go online”! Not even an explanation! I tried to go online and the app was not loading. I improvised and took a video around the car and an image of the mileage and gas. When I went online to check out I realized that everything must have been done there! But there was no explanation on the sign over the key drop off. Just visit the website. But my service was down at that moment! How was I supposed to know? HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM START TO END!

The manager, Andre Long, does not seem to understand customer service. I was incorrectly charged for gas and it took a week for him to understand that even though I filled out a full explanation when I returned the truck. He also did not seem to think that there was any fault or reimbursment that could occur for calling me 10 minutes before my scheduled rental to tell me that they did not in fact have the vehicle. I was rescheduled for 5 hours later. I had to reschedule with my my movers. I went in to pick up the vehicle and stood in line for 15 minutes before someone came through and said I should download the application and rent the vehicle that way. I did. It failed and the online service told me to go back inside to rent the vehicle. I did. The guy inside looked at me like I was insane when I told him I needed help renting the vehicle. At least it wasn't busy now, he had to hang from his personal phone call to help me. He also had to call his manager to figure out how to rent me the truck after telling me he couldn't rent me the truck because I have a temporary drivers license. I also told him I didn't want the insurance. He said he would take it off. He printed out the paperwork and told me to initial for the insurance. I said, I thought we took off the insurance. He replied, I guess it didn't work and you have to have it. I signed because at this point I had people waiting so we could get moving. That's on me I guess. On top of that, I made my reservation for a different location. A much closer location. I have a receipt showing the location I desired to rent from. No one told me at any point that I would be picking up the vehicle 9 miles away from where I reserved it. I only found out when we started driving to bayside and looked up the address on my newest email (after they called to reschedule my initial reservation) and saw they switched my pick up location. That's an extra 18 dollars in uhauls pocket (almost $2 a mile.) Andre did not think it made any sense to even partially credit me for any of these inconveniences. There are many moving companies out there and unless someone addresses these legitimate concerns anyone I know or can reach via online reviews will be seriously rethinking using your service.

I had an issue with an impounded car and because they wasted their time trying to get it out, they charged me without letting me know, and over charged me for the fees because of their mistakes.

Great experience! The girl at the front desk was extreme helpful and knowledgeable. I paid a little more than expected but that’s only because of the taxes, fees and going over the mileage. But overall, it wasn’t a bad experience and worth every penny.

The customer agent was all over the place complaining where his supplies were and how someone else moved them. Not something a customer wants to hear when they have a “heavy day” ahead of them. Not really friend and reading his name tag it said he was the owner. The truck was clean and the outside agents were friendly and accommodating.

I scheduled a 1 way rental from this location to my new homes location of 11590. They told me they dont have the truck available but i can drive ALL THE WAY to the Jamaica location to use theirs 1 way with 30ml free of charge. I got there and the truck was UNAVAILABLE. They called the Flushing location again and now it was available for round trip only. Now i had to drive back to Flushing and pick up the truck. Fill. Deliver. Unload. Then drive all the way back to the Flushing location again to drop it off. $158. Plush $14 in gas. And all of this mess was with over a week notice reservation. HORRIBLE.
