The truck was very dirty and on the older side as it had several dents. It also only had 3/8th of a tank of gas. (I took pictures and video of everything) before we left the Fremont lot. We were scheduled to pick up at 12:00 noon, but arrived at about 11:18a. The manager stamped our pick up time @ 11:00a. I explained that we were already going to lose approximately 30 minutes since our original p/u location was changed. I asked the manager to correct the p/u time and to please credit us for an additional 30 minutes as we were going to lose that just getting to our intended location which was 5 minutes from our original rental location in Campbell. He verbally and in a frustrated-like way said, "yes okay I will correct that!" and then motioned as if to say he was done with us. When we dropped off the truck in "Dos Palos" uHaul location, the gentleman who checked in the truck said the online contract showed that they had given us the truck with 5/8th of a tank and thus would be charging us for the difference as well. Good thing our contract and videos/pics show the gauge at 3/8th which is how we returned it. While loading our belongings at our storage, I received a text message saying we would be delivering the truck to UHaul in Atwater, Ca. a city ~45 minutes away from our destination! I called the scheduling department to ask what was going on! According to "Heidi" the resv. agent, I apparently had spoken to every resv. agent at the same location (office) at some point or other. She seemed very annoyed by that fact. She said she couldn't believe I had even spoken to "Les" the office manager who was just as unhelpful. He passed the line to Diana who passed it to Heidi who passed it back to Diana who exclaimed to me, "Why did she pass you back to me!" I then said, I've no idea what is going on except that no one lets me explain what it is that I need. Ugh... With the exception of 2, 4 were extremely rude, rude, rude talking over me as I tried to explain my dilemma. They kept repeating that they were reading the "notes" and that every one of them had tried calling me and I never answered. I explained that I probably didn't answer my phone bc their calls were coming in as "Potential SPAM!" not UHaul! I don't answer Potential Spam calls. It wasn't until I did a search via Google that I realized it was UHaul. I only wanted to be compensated for the miles and time we were losing by going way out of our way to pick-up and drop-off the truck from the original locations that were actually confirmed via email. I kept explaining to the scheduling agent, Heidi that at no time verbally nor on the confirmation email that I have as proof was it ever mentioned that my reservation was only, "Pending availability". She basically explained that it was just too bad as that's been UHaul's policy for the last 1.5 years. I told her that it wasn't my fault that this wasn't mentioned to me when I made my reservation. Had I known that both the pickup and drop-off locations were just tentative I most than likely wouldn't have chosen to rent from UHaul. Way too much uncertainty and complication for an already stressful long distance move.JAVAD J.

Was running late by 1 hour (return time was 5pm, returned equipment by 6pm), called and informed the center. However was still charged for a full additional day, for 1 hour late return. I wish the rep had told me on the call that I will be charged additional day, so I didn't have to rush through traffic and leave lot of other to-do things to return trailer as close to return time as possible.RUPESH K.

U-Haul needs to do something about the wait time on phones. I didn't order a U-Box, my account was charged for one and my U-Haul account wouldn't let me log in. I'd used U-Haul at an entirely different location in August so some type of fraud is involved. When I finally speak to U-Haul after a 20 minute wait the guy gives me a number that was supposed to be accounting but like any number you dial for U-Box it just went back to the call center. I've had to dispute the charge and get a new credit card from my bank and have not been able to talk to anybody at U-Haul who can look in to this. I find this concerning since they want a credit card to even reserve something. Keep a close watch on your credit card statements if you use U-Haul. I'd never even been to the location where I supposedly rented the U-Box they were setting up a continuous rental billing for!linda C.

1. My initial order was in Sunnyvale (09/25/2021); then, I received a call the pickup was in Santa Clara. The salesman was unprofessional; we suffered discrimination (customer service reported this case and changed the service to a new branch in Fremont). The point is the salesman never canceled the order, and right now, I have a charge from U-HAULPOSTAL ANNEX for $138.92. 2. In Fremont, We had a problem with the service: the gas level was incorrect, and they wanted that I to charge 8 gallons (30.28 liters) of gas when I never used that quantity (I used the cargo van thirty miles). After explaining it for a long time, they decided it was a mistake. But not. I have a new charge for 17.70 after I paid $55.84 in Fremont.ANDREA M.

Very happy with the service when I rented a pickup truck. I booked it online and it was a breeze picking it up and returning it. U-Haul definitely beats going to a auto rental when you need a pickup truck. Will surely recommend U-Haul and particularly this location in Fremont CA.SYED H.

I am very pleased with my hitch installation experience. If I remember correctly, it was Marlon who did the installation. He was a gem - enthusiastic, did the installation is the timeframe he said it was going to take and gave me pointers on what to watch out (since I was planning to carry ebikes). As I say and waited for the installation, I was also impressed with the manager of the store (I forgot this name). He was going around making sure that customers were being taken care of and also conveying to his subordinates who needed to be done next. Mighty impressed with store!paul wong S.

This U-Haul went above and beyond. I keep coming back for their efficiency and professional service, but today was another level entirely. When I realized I had l had dropped my personal keys in the cab floor of the truck, I called the 800 number (after hours) hoping the the location crew could retrieve them in the morning forhold them in Lost and Found. For me. To my pleasant surprise, after I explained my situation the the Customer Service person, I was put on a brief hold and was told the General Manager would meet me in 30 minutes to let me retrieve my keys. Which he did, with a cheery and kind disposition. What a great spokesperson for your company!! Thank you!!JOSE G.
