Trucks are clean however the workers are not all wearing masks. Come on now, it's 2021 and it's Illinois mandate that everyone wears a mask. When I asked the worker Ernesto to maintain 6' distance from me because he didn't have a mask on his person at all he replied â€œtrust me I don't have covidâ€ and came closer and closer even after I kept moving back. I reserved about 2 months in advanced and when I arrived for pick up the trailer was not there, very disappointing , the staff was very helpful in getting another one for my trip. I would suggest calling calling the pickup place ahead of time and make certain your equipment is there.Daniel B.

My experience with renting a pod was nothing like I thought it would be.... I was told a date it would arrive by, it was almost 2 weeks past that. When I would call to track it the answer was always its in route someone will give you a call. When someone finally did call me to set up a day and time for delivery they never showed up until the following day. Then they charged my credit card for another month of rental. So now I am trying to figure out how to get my credit which I'm sure will be a great time....I do not recommend using uhaul podsAnnie C.

Make sure that your mileage terms are explained thoroughly, I've rented from U-Haul many times before and have never paid for mileage unless I went over. My previous experience I had to pay for the mileage which I did not exceed in the past you would put down a deposit and receive that deposit back at the end if there weren't any extra charges other than that it was fine.ANGELA J.

I made a reservation to pick up a truck at park Forest but I changed to me having to pick up equipment from park Forest and the truck in glenwood. Also the truck I got broke down when I was done moving. I stayed on hold with uhal AAA and ended up having to walk to Walgreens for jumper cables. After getting the truck started; I drove it back to the pickup location. The guy at the equipment return was rude.Lamarr F.

This location has so much equipment I was supposed to pick up a truck that was on your lot. This was a time sensitive transaction!! I didn't get a truck till 9pm So when I got where I was going the police had towed my truck and was getting ready to tow your trailer. So now I have to go to a impound lot to retrieve my vehicle. Only thing that went smooth is I was able to hook up to your trailer and get it back to the location. I feel that a better system in inventory management may help also a double check with dispatch Both electronically and visually on a truck or equipment location. The time I spent at that facility looking for a truck that was not there caused me to have to go to a impound lot and retrieve my personal vehicle. Not to mention if I had not got a truck when I did I would be going to get a trailer out the In pound lot as well. I Also go other locations (Alsip, Markham ) I've never had this type of issue. It can only stem from a lack of inventory control Dispatch need to have a visual confirmation that the rental unit is where it's supposed to be.ANTOINE N.

Regarding clean and maintained- both my storage units and my truck rentals were clean and APPEARED maintained. However, 2 areas: 1of my brand new 26' trucks had a leak in the roof. So the night I emptied my units into the trucks, it rained heavily well after we finished. The next day when we unloaded, my furniture was wet and many boxes as well. One box of kitchen items even exploded on the ground as I carried it because of how wet it got. So it cost me. Also, 1 of my two outdoor units had a hole in the roof that I needed to request a repair on. It was done immediately and without question, but these things should be checked. Had I not noticed the sun shining through, our musical equipment would have been ruined. The staff is very helpful and respectful and the owner seems very hands on.HEATHER D.
The 10ft truck that I ordered had not been returned which of course is not your fault. However, it was a bit inconveniencing and a little challenging to say the least to drive a 26 ft truck. I've never driven a vehicle that large before so I was very nervous.Jennifer E.

I waited over a week for a manger to call me and she never called. Then I think the policy for storages should be explained more. The employees there pay more attention to their cellphones than the customer when your moving in so they act like they don’t have time to explain anything. There were 3 employees there. The two guys were really nice and patient but the young lady just assumed that I knew everything because I’ve used them before. The last time I had a storage was 5 years ago and I’m sure things could have changed. If she had paid more attention to her customer than her phone she probably would’ve told me about the insurance that I could’ve purchased. I rented a UHaul from this place, then rented storage for 6 month, then, due to loss of my job and concerns over this epidemic, I rented another UHaul and cleaned out my shed... one (1!) day after they hit my account for the monthly charge. I asked for a pro-rated refund OR the option to apply some of the $100 to the UHaul rental. I never asked for the full amount back. I didn't expect that. However, I spent over $1000 in rentals and the incredulous manner in which my requests were met with left a horrible taste in my mouth. Especially given current events. There are PLENTY of other UHaul or competitor locations out there. I'll be using and recommending other options for my next move and storage needs.Brian M. | Overall Experience
