Horrendous experience with Uhau over all We booked a truck 2 MONTHS before we nedeed it - Uhaul took our credit card and confirmed booking then we get a call less than 2 weeks before move date saying we may or may not have atruck - WHAT???!!! we booked EVERYTHING around the uhaul, with holidays before our move there was no way to set up an alternative, we ended up having to drive 3.hrs to collect our truck, pushed back our move an entire day rebooked movers who then didnt show up - NIGHTMARE, will never use Uhaul again or ever suggest friends using them. horribly stressful and costly experience and staff who couldn't care lessDAVID N.

I moved boxes and assorted bicycles and tubs in and out for 4 months. I was thankful for the UHaul carts available and a supply of used boxes I could take. It was clean, well lit and for the most part empty of others when I came. Highly recommended.MORGAN M. | Overall Experience

My frustration comes with setting things up online then having to deal in person. The quoted number is NEVER what we pay it's usually a good $70 more. We tried to keep it for an extra day and the first day we're told it would just be another $40 second day we were told $114. The truck itself had MULTIPLE lights out including reverse, height lights, and more. I just wish the organization were better. You know we are at your mercy and take advantage of thatSavanna M.

Returning the truck after hours on the website was very frustrating/anxiety inducing. The website could not access our location on our phones despite many minutes of troubleshooting. We could not bypass this step or manually enter our location. This is especially frustrating given that this was just a 3 hour rental for local use, of course we were in the right location! Was given a truck that was on a quarter tank of gas. Drove the truck less than ten miles and when returned, the truck showed less than a quarter of a tank and was charged $48.00 for fuel and service charge. Pretty sneaky way of getting extra money out of a customer...Kathleen B.

Have small cargo trailers available. I had to drive 65 miles to pick up a 5x8 trailer. If the roads had been icy I would have had to cancel my rental reservation.NANCY O.

Straps were frayed. Hard to insert in ratchet. Ramp pins needed lubrication. Hard to pull out. Helena clerk neglected to tell me not to back up with tow dolly or recommended speed limit. Most amazing experience and service always when I come into this location especially when Sam is here! Anybody in Montana should use this location as their go-to location when renting or working with you all storage building any of your needs. I rented a pickup for a couple of hours. Amount initially charged to my Discover card was $57.93 (including an estimate of 25 miles). When i returned the pickup I was told the change was $41 and change (did NOT travel 25 miles). The clerk could not print me a receipt and said I would get an email receipt. Never received an email receipt and my Discover Card was charged $57.93. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER! I will go back to your store tomorrow to attempt clean up this mess.JOHN S.

Reserved a 10 ft truck. Was told there were no trucks available 1 hr before I was to pick up. My belongings were sitting outside bcuz my landlord inspected my apt. and no truck!! Helena got me into a 15 ft, local only truck but i would have to drive to billings and back to helena to drop it off. I spent $68 filing it in helena (it was at 1/2 a tank) 45 to 50 mph all the way, trying to fight to keep the truck between the white lines. I was so scared when I finally got to billings that I couldn't stop shaking. I've used uhaul for 30 years but doubt I'll use them again.Lois-Lea D.

I reserved the smallest size van and they gave me a big truck that I didn't want or need, costing me an extra $100 in gas. Interior was dirty and exterior (including windshield) was filthy. Radio didn't work in truck. Worst U-haul rental experience ever. And I've done about ten moves with U-Haul.ALBERT G.

You need to more clearly advise customers of the charges related to drop off after hours. My bill doubled when I returned my rental after operating hours. Had I been aware of the additional cost I could have easily returned the vehicle earlier. I was attending Carroll College move-in day with my son, and had a day long schedule of events I was trying to attend. The vehicle was sitting in the Carroll College parking lot all day an I would have returned it sooner if I was aware of impending additional charges.JOHN P.
My whole moving trip was based on original agreement. Hitch ended up not coming in. I had to buy it from another place. Trailer got totaled so getting another one was a day late. Worker at Cedar store was rude about whether or not my vehicle would pull trailer when on phone said it was ok. It was a mess from the start.LAURENE C.
The left trailer light went out and we stopped at 5 different UHaul locations (2 in Draper and 3 in Lehi) before we found a location in Provo to help us out. This was in addition to calling roadside assistance who said it would be 45 minutes for someone to help us and then the someone texted us and said it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours before he could help us.Lisa B.

Keep to your promise to reservations. Trucks and storage units. It has been a nightmare , I ended up spending twice as much on new storage shed,because they told me I dint have one when I got to my destination.Robin C.
There was some miscommunication at first. As when I had called we had set up the storage and the truck. However that was not what happen when my kids got there. It was fixed and taken care of. We were told to use your company because of the K-Mart facility. If Lyndale is to be regarded as convenient for storage of heavy furniture and other heavy household items, then please kindly replace the second level stairs with ramps because your company is not offering any equipment that allows us to safely get heavy items up those stairs. Now I will have to hire another expensive moving crew to get all of those items out of there and it is almost impossible to find reliable and trustworthy moving crews in Helena who actually want to work. My understanding is that move-in to your K-Mart facility would have been much easier. Also, there needs to be enhancement of the instructions for initial entry into the building. The customer service was excellent. I originally made reservation via the web since I live out-of-state. However, my daughter who attends college in Helena felt the storage unit we reserved may be too small. I went online to reserve bigger unit but couldn't find a way to cancel my previous reservation. When I called the U-haul storage facility, the person I spoke to took care of cancelling my reservation (no hassle) and moved me to a better unit for my daughter than what I originally reserved. Being so far away, I am so thankful for all of the help that was provided. My daughter successfully moved her stuff in and is very happy with the unit and the service that was provided to her.
