The app requiring an emergency contact was ridiculous. There’s no reason to require that I give you someone else’s contact info and you needing to call them to make sure they exist. Apps are supposed to make things easier not more difficult

I was charged for a scratch when I returned the vehicle and it wasn't documented that the scratch was there before I rented the vehicle. I wasn't informed on any information to submit a claim for the charges for the scratches.

First up let me say the location itself and its staff their staff was helpful a little to late. But when speaking with them about my concerns and dissatisfaction with uhaul and how they handle me during my experience renting they seem to sympathize with me but couldn't help at the end with only telling me to email those at the top and that it may not even help you. So my problem with uhaul I rented a van and extended my rental 4 times and each time. I was charged for the rental and not the mileage which I found out in the end uhaul use a bate and switch type of system. By only charging for the rental each time I extended left me believing I was all payed up to continue with my next extension. But not knowing and not being explained by the uhaul staff on the phone or in the store I was lead to believe my rental each time I extended I was covered for rental and mileage. At the end of my rental I come to bring van back and that's when the staff hit with this huge mileage bill that uhaul had put together during my rental never asking for the money threw out my entire rental. I expressed this to the staff and they expressed that I was the first to ever complain about something like this and I'm sure I'm not. To bait me in with thinking I'm paying to extend my rental and my money taking from account to find out later you never took out for mileage each time I extended my rental or even mentioned to me that was something I should ask about or beware of. This huge bill hit me like a ton of bricks. And to add insult to injury while I'm speaking with the staff uhaul is trying to hot my bank account without me authorized permission. They use fraudulent and bate and switch tactics to lure customers in with the rental and mileage as this low and silent feature. But at the end your mileage becomes the huge and loud feature and the rental becomes silent in the end. Uhaul has created a system not to help their customers but to rob them and deceive them. Uhaul has took my rental experience and ruined how I trust and believe these companies are there to help you with your move to wanting to find other companies that will explain procedures from the beginning to end. This will not be the last of me to uhaul and their company and truly and fully thinking of seeking legal advice and actions towards this company. To anyone thinking of using uhaul before you make sure they explain to you about when you extend your rental. Make sure they take the rental fees and mileage each time you extend your rental because uhaul won't because they use this glitch of information towards the end as their big payday. Because if it wasn't use to make a huge dollar they would take the money during each time the rental is extended. And cra y the staff mentioned that it's up to the customer to calculate these things. No it's upto the company to explain to make sure your customers return to keep doing business. Hopefully someone reaches out to me but if they don't I will further my time to correct and change uhaul policies so no one experience what I had to go threw.

Customer service was not well during my drop of the man moving trucks gave me attitude on where I parked when there is no clear sign of a “return” area then he blocked in my personal vehicle and wanted me to squeeze out and potentially hit another vehicle next to us instead of moving the truck 10 feet…after moving heave furniture for hours returning the truck experience shouldn’t have been this annoying

I left this facility because of pests. After 2 months of being here, i personally had to do the work to keep roaches out of my unit & this past week MICE chewed up my items. Theres no urgency from the company to speak or get rid of pests. The way the walls and units are set up anything can get into your space. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY.

Actual move out date was October 7 not the 9th and have been having an issue contacting the store about emails sent after paying settlement amount and moving the items out of the unit

Setting up the storage originally was horrible. Israel C was rude and not helpful. I got so upset I cancelled the storage and he never refunded my money. I had to call back to get assistance from Clever who was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond. Will not recommend doing storage at this location only renting a truck etc. I put helpful staff ONLY for Clever not Israel C

Unfortunately, I cancelled the storage unit. It was dark and dirty. Spider webs all over. To small for the price. Israel C was not polite until the end. Understanding it was toward the end of the day customer service never stops. Will not recommend storage unit.

Storage is sketchy, the after hours help line number never gets picked up, the staff is poorly educated and of no help. It seems like People are living out of the storage containers there and there are many sketchy characters there. I would not suggest this location to anyone. The manager will never pick up his phone. One of the access doors doesn’t work. Terrible location

excellent value overall. however i was expecting a much larger unit on the ground floor level to accommodate my very full 20 foot uhaul truck what i was offered was the same size as rvc had offered me. walter was knowledgeable and helpful. his assistant (?) was much less so ( may i suggest a pay raise to increase employee engagement and additional training on how to please and satisfy customers queries) what saved this deal ( we were going to go someplace else entirely) was that Walter sold me side by side units. Walter deserves an even bigger pay raise. Thank you, Walter.

The second floor storage was very inconvenient. I have never seen a storage that you had to climb steps to get to. This should be told to customers so they have the choice to choose something else.

The parking was not great. They are returned vehicles parked vehicles all over the place and employees parked close to the facility and impeded the removing of boxes from the storage. Hopefully management can do something about it.

I was always scared to go to this uhaul because their were so many complaints of rodents thankfully all my belongings were secure and upon move out no issues with rodents at all it was clean

The manager was terrible never answered or return calls. We had COVID last month and could not move out our stuff so we reached out no help at all. Highly don’t recommend

I can’t speak for every storage unit, but my storage unit had many mice feces. I was with Uhaul Hempstead for approximately nine years, and the mice issue has gotten worse. The rent increases every few months, and nothing has been done to correct the mice issue. The staff is excellent. The facility is cleaned but only cleaned to mask an issue.

Only thing truck rubber gaskets on doors kept falling off truk needed tuneup and Transmission also needs work
