I did the mobile check in and it got very frustrating because it kept saying â€œconnection lost tap to reloadâ€. I also finally after 10 minutes I got to the section where you add your license and the final parts after that to submit for the approval and it never loaded! The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. I got there a minute after closing expecting that they may be annoyed - quite the opposite! Really good people and a very pleasant experience. Having a backup camera and bluetooth in the vehicle was an added unexpected bonus!James C.
This entire transaction was a disaster. I was notified via voicemail mid-morning the day of scheduled arrival that the boxes would not be there. Return calls to the number provided resulted in an hour-plus wait and a rude representative that told me "they'll let you know when the boxes will show up". After pressing the issue I was transferred to a "local" office (NJ not PA) who told me the new date of arrival. On that date (2 days later) the boxes still had not arrived and the Horsham office told me they would check on the status and get back to me. They did not. Another call resulted in an hour-plus wait on the line. Finally I drove to the facility to find 3 employees there and obviously not answering the phone. They told me that the boxes would be delivered around 1:00 PM. They didn't arrive. Further calls at 3:00 and 4:30 resulted in me being told that "the driver is not being cooperative and wouldn't provide an ETA". The manager then told me that he would bring a single U-Box to my house so that I could at least begin the loading process. He never showed up. The boxes finally arrived at 7:00 that evening. I had a surgery scheduled for 10:00 the next morning so had to spend that evening and very early the next morning getting everything loaded. Then the next day the manager called to ask for the U-Box numbers because the wrong boxes had been delivered. I returned the call and got a "voicemail box full" message. I then received at least 3 calls from the central U-Haul number confirming incorrect information about the delivery dates. I will never use U-Haul again and will be sure to tell this story to anyone considering using U-Haul. The failures were systematic, not just localized instances.john V.
Hi, I made my reservation online (29859434)on Friday July 16th. When I arrived to pickup a reserved vehicle BE2667C it wasn't there in the lot. I went to store and one on the stuff gave me a key for another vehicle BE2666C. I called U-Haul on Friday right after returning the vehicle and explained everything to representative on the phone. Now I'm seeing that I'm being charged for over 1300 miles, in two hours of drive. Please help me with this issue.Daler B.

Clean and good service. Appliance dolly wasn't in truck. Truck door seal came off every time I opened door. 20 ft truck was nice to drive and comfortable. U haul reimbursed for dolly. All in all, U-Haul is much better than other companies. I highly recommend them ðŸ‘Joseph K.

When i went to the Horsham, PA location early to check on my reservation, the gentleman at the desk actually called the customer that had the trailer that I intended to pick up that evening. Although the outcome wasn't in my favor, it was good customer service.ROBERT T.
Typical of u-haul spots the decor is a mix of whatever other business is run out of there and stacks of boxes, hookup hardware along the walls and a couple of small racks of padlocks and packing stuff and tape. No frills. That's fine; we go there to rent trucks, not to be pampered. The staff knew their stuff and they let me browse the hitch balls and wiring adapters at will with no pressure or impatience.JONATHAN K.

Some staff was grumpy, rude, and unable to accept they made a mistake. I also had a lot of trouble with picking up my UBoxes for self delivery. The boxes weren't ready for me to pick up even though I told the staff I was coming to get them days before. I was also told the wrong time for when they open by the staff so I arrived 1.5 hours before the Ubox warehouse opened and this ended up forcing me to pay for an extra day of truck rental, which I was not planning on. Then once the Ubox warehouse staff arrived i had to wait two hours before they were ready for me to take the boxes. It was all a bad experience where the staff was unorganized, unprepared, and unwilling to accept any fault. I honestly should be discounted on my price for all the hassle.MORGAN R.

This experience with Uhaul was unlike any other. It was the single most horrible experience I've ever had with your company and I will never be using you again in fact I'll be going online to tell everyone what I went through. So first let me say that I was quoted a price over the phone by one of your associates and was told that was how much I would be paying $509. When I went to U-Haul the very next day to pick up my cargo van,I was greeted with an extra $150 hold that I was not told about over the phone. I also then had to drive to my bank which is two towns away to put in the remaining money for you to hold it even though I never even saw it taken from my account until now. To top it off I was never told about any â€œoil or tire repair feeâ€ which added another $50 making my final total at around $800. If you think this is the way business should be conducted you should be ashamed of yourselves and I am very much going online and telling all of my 5000 friends how horrible of an experience this was. Absolutely absurd. If I felt right to blatantly curse you out right now I would but I'm not even gonna stoop to that level. I personally believe you owe me $300.Peter S.

I had to call Uhaul 3 times, each time I spent over 2 hours on the phone with no one that could help, transfer after transfer, once someone hung up on me. And no one arrived to pick up my uhaul at the final destination that I had to call and spend hours of my day trying to get someone to pick it up. The battery on the rental truck was dead when I got there and the guys started playing the blame game. I got the rental 2 hours late. Also the next day the batt was dead again and I called roadside assistance, that wait was 45+ mins. Thank god I had jumper cables and got it running myself.PETER B.
I reserved a 30 foot truck two months in advance. Two days before I was supposed to pick it up the location was changed to an hour away and the price was increased by $200. I called and told them that I could not make it to that other location corporate told me that a truck should be in at 11 o'clock the next morning at my original location. I show up at 11 o'clock at my original location and they said I don't know why they told you that I don't have any truck coming in one might come in at 3 o'clock you're welcome to that. If it comes it. I had no choice but to take the only truck they had over 15 feet which was a 26 foot truck. It was not what I wanted but it was the only truck that I would be guaranteed I would have for my move. Again the price went up exponentially. When I called the one 800 number I was given miss information every time and they were not the least bit helpful as a matter of fact sometimes they were quite Kurt I also reserved a specific type of Dolly which also was not there when I picked up my truck and I was up charged again. Originally when I reserve the truck the one 800 number told me the closest location to me to pick up a truck would be at the Horsham location. When everything went wrong and the one 800 number was no help and gave you miss information I went to a U-Haul at three minutes from my house in Buckingham. Lo and behold to my surprise she told me a 20 foot truck had come in that morning and had already gone out to someone that just happened by and needed a truck why was I not told one that that location would have one and why would they send me an hour away to pick something up. All in all I am extremely displeased and if I asked about my experience I will have no choice but to tell people dealing with U-Haul it is a very unpleasant experience. Since my trip I have heard numerous experiences similar to mine including speaking to people in the Horsham Boca Ocean Hwy are having issuesAlsoVICKI S.
The 3 employees who worked on this particular day did a great job dealing with a stressful environment and computers that keep freezing on them as they tried to get customers in and out the door as quick as possible. People were great. Equipment was great. Reservation system was terrible. I requested and received a 7:00 am pickup (store did not open until 9:00 am). When I got to the part to "pick up my truck" I was told to see the person on site. I had half a dozen people waiting for me in Phila. at 8:00 am. The system gave me no notice or reason for this change. Called and sought phone numbers on line and held on the phone for 45 mins. Woman was connecting me to some dispatcher to find an available nearby open site to pick up a truck, but it was only an automated operator who could provide no help. Didn't get to my move site until after 10:00 and made everyone else late. I will not rent from U Haul again. Had I known I would have paid for an additional day's rent and got it on Saturday. why could you not email me if there was a problem? It's a shame. You have many good people working trying to make the best out of an ugly situation created by an online system that is extremely unfriendly to customers. Again, great people. Very good equipment. customer service inside the shop is poor. i waited in line for over 20 min both times (i had to come back b/c the first truck i was given had an engine light on and i had to exchange it.) One of the 2 employees had answered the phone, put the person on hold, and sat there waiting for word from another employee while the rest of us just stood there and waited. it wasn't until the manager (i think) from the back came out that the wait got shorter. And still that whole time, the same employee was "helping the person on the phone". It was quite maddening and there were several of us waiting. We pulled under an equipment return tent and an employee came out and told us to back up the trailer into a different spot. Not easy to do. Then she ignored us while she checked over another trailer. Eventually another employee saw us and said he would be right with us, which he was. He unhooked the trailer and said goodbye, but I had to ask if they were going to give us a receipt. He said they'd email it, which they did. So, definitely room for improvement in the way the employees communicate with the customers.Maureen S.

I was not advised that the reservation I made was switched to a different location. When I finally located my reservation it took over an hour to get my truck. First they said the previous person hadn't turned it in yet. Then it was that I got there â€œlateâ€ (because I was in no was contacted to be advised of the location switch) so they rented it to someone else. As if moving wasn't stressful enough. Reaching representatives in the office has been a nightmare. I’ve been told on three different occasions that my UBox would be there and it wasn’t. Found my UBox at another location and it’s been unlocked. UBox still has yet to be delivered to the location so my rented unit sits empty. I was promised a refund for the unused portion of my monthly rental when moving out and vacating the unit on 4/11/2021. I have not seen that refund and it has been over a month of waiting. I had a very good experience renting from U-Haul Horsham. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facility was kept clean and well lit. The only downside was the sliding door (#12 door) to the storage units was often in op forcing me to walk around to get to my storage unit. I have never had such a bad experience and paying so much a month. If I was not pregnant I would have moved storage facilities. You never knew if the card would read and open the door. Sometimes the doors were locked during operating hours. Other times one door wouldn’t work and you were stuck using a small entrance door. I could never pay my bill online because my info was incorrect and I had made multiple attempts to correct it and got no place. There was a time I went to pay my monthly rent and I was told the person did not know how to use the debit payment method that I needed to come back and then they wanted to charge me a late fee because of their own employees fault. We came by right before closing, it was freezing and snow on the ground, after driving 3 days. The guys were amazing! They said we could park the truck in the lot and unpack the next day. I started out with one storage unit and whenever I needed another I simply asked and they were able to find me one close. Amazing service, wonderful people, clean and ready to access location. First of all when I go to my storage the main light goes out after a certain time and I have to go back and restart the light. Also I had moved out and told them that I was emptying out my unit and when I told them that everything is out and cleaned the person told me that everything is okay no payment. Then I was billed for December of $191 I called and was told that I will be refunded and it will be in my checking account in 3-4 days. That time period went by and no refund came in so I went to the Horsham location and at first I had a hard time with the person on the counter ( I was in a middle of moving out which during that time frame I left some items which I took my lock with me to use at the storage facility. Which they had placed a lock there that’s no problem I was glad that they did that.) I had the manager to go and opened the door. Well when I was talking to the person about it she said that I had left it in a trashy condition which I told her that the manager went with me to open the door which I had emptied and swept out and cleaned the unit. She told me that the person that I was talking on the phone was terminated on that day I didn’t believe that. She told me that I will be getting a refund but it will be another 5 days which had frustrated me a lot. She wasn’t look concerned about the situation .Thomas H. | Overall Experience
