Hello Uhaul, It has been awhile since I rented one of vehicles, to be exact it was 34 years ago. When moved from Norristown to Hatboro. I remember having to add a quart of oil to the engine that was 2 quarts low. The truck got us through. It was quite a different experience this time. The truck was fully serviced and ready to go !! We loaded the 15 foot truck to its capacity & it performed remarkably. The only negative thing I could say that the noise in the cab was very high you could barely hear the radio or to converse with the passenger.Thomas K.
I was promised a refund for the unused portion of my monthly rental when moving out and vacating the unit on 4/11/2021. I have not seen that refund and it has been over a month of waiting. Can someone please help me get the promised refund as promised? I was formerly in Unit# 2046 at your Horsham facility. Trailer had rock , grass and trash strewn about ( waaaaay more than should've been tolerated). Again, during my 20 minute wait for placing an order over the phone, the inventory was inaccurate, I drove onto the lot, and went inside to inquire. As expected, the trailer I wanted was there AND available. Frustrating. Now, the reason I can gues that the hub doesnt have the correct info is because the returned eqiuipment isn't inventoried immediately upon return. I STILL have not received my return confirmation. Provide better communication from corporate texts. Texts were uninformative and confusing. Based on those texts and subsequent interactions with representatives on the phone, I would never use uhaul again. Poor, bad experience. Your in person staff at Horsham store saved this review however I am inclined to try a different provider in the future to see if that experience is easier and less confusing.Alan J.
When making a reservation online, I arrived to find that the equipment requested (two moving dollies) was unavailable with the truck rental. The staff was lacking in knowledge as to what equipment they had on site and were unable to provide any alternative plans to providing the equipment I had requested. Moreover, they were clearly noncompliant with the state mask mandate which testifies to lack of professionalism. I would not recommend this site to anyone and only rented a truck here out of necessity. Will use alternative company such as Penske in the future.JACOB K.

The national number for U-Box billing does not work. I stayed on hold for over 2 hours trying to ask a question regarding my bill. Also, it would be nice if each location had their own phone number. The local number redirected to the national number, which was not helpful.Lindsey B.

I would recommend the location for convenience and the dyer need for a vehicle to move belongings only. I was quite unhappy with the true lack of customer service when calling this location while out on the road. I was on hold for at least 15-20 minutes and not one associate got on the line. This business about communicating via email while out on the road is a hardship. A simple phone conversation would have been a lot faster and much easier for me. I rented a cargo van for the day this past Sunday, May 2, 2021. I picked it up at 9:30 am, as I had a reservation. Not at any point in my conversation with the rep at this location did we speak about having to have the cargo van back at this location by 2pm. We spoke about the shop closing at 5pm only. I told the rep that I would be returning the van before closing. Not once did the rep tell me it had to be back by 2 pm. I stumbled on to this after reading through the text message that was sent to my cell phone an hour or so after leaving the location with the cargo van. Why 2pm? Isn't the rental for a period of 24 hours? The sign reads $19.99 plus miles and tax. Nothing about $19.99 for 4 hours. When I tried to reach the rep to clarify this mis- representation, no one picked up my call. Why? And why the mis-representation? Very discouraging!! Poor customer service when picking up uhaul. First time we rented one so we didn't know what to expect. Guy just took our $, didn't explain anything or go over what we selected online. Also, Trying to call and get ahold of anyone is a joke. Waited for over an hour to report we had no dollies which I did select online. ( if worker would have went over our online selections, issues could have been avoided) When I got ahold of someone which I'm assuming is not this place but a cooperate person. She was a bitch. Saying we should have checked for it before we left. The app never went over the dollies, just the x marks of damage On the vehicle. Went to pick up and sign on door saying back in hour. 4 people waited with me, 3 others just left This delayed me so i could not return same day. Next morning I had appointment and could not get the hauler back unitl 40 minutes past 24 hour cut off and was unbelievably charged full extra day.Mark C.
When I returned the RT, I was informed that I would be checked in, and the $8.00 fee for some kind of insurance, which I didn't approve, but I also didn't look at the paperwork, (my fault), would be removed and an email would be sent confirming return. The following day I inquired about the confirmation and was informed it wasn't completed. This would have led to additional charges, had I not checked. On a positive note, the outgoing rental was quick and easy. Staff was very cordial and helpful. They apparently enjoyed what they do.I would use the services again. Thank you for listening. I was overcharged heavily for gas. I sent an email with pictures showing that the fuel gauge was not even at 1/2 tank and also an after pic showing how much was used. I expect to be reimbursed as I saw you charged me an additional $40.00 on top of the rental and no response. Now I have been on hold with customer service for over 40 minutes. The UHAUL I rented was in bad shape, engine and all. The ONLY good thing about this experience was the employee at the desk was nice. The kid that checked me in was outstanding. I've dealt with him numerous times. To me he knew more than his manager, this kid is an asset to the company and being overlooked. He needs to be moved into a higher position so the check outs move faster. He made sure everything was secure and attached properly. I can not begin to tell you how confident I am with this kid. When I see him working, I know it's going to be a fast easy and safe trailer hook up. Please promote this kid so everyone else can be as satisfied as me. He is absolutely outstanding!!!!Brian Z.

The pick up truck I rented STUNK of cigarette smoke when I rented it. It was quite overwhelming initially and I had to drive with the windows down in the morning when it was still in the 40s outside... it was quite cold. I was supposed to pick the equipment up at a different location. I did not find out until 1 hour before the pickup that the equipment was not at the scheduled location (when I CALLED THAT LOCATION to see if it was ready for pickup). I called customer service who told me that it was at another location about 45 minutes from my house. They apologized that I was not told, and gave me a $50 credit. This huge location looked like it was understaffed, I arrived to pick up my trailer and no one was around, the front desk was deserted after 5 mins waiting suddenly someone appeared almost out of thin air. They guy was knowledgeable and helpful with hooking up and lights check. Paper processing was pretty fast. When I dropped off the trailer the office was empty.again, I got their at 445pm , after waiting and walking around for about 5 mins, I finally found an employee out in the middle of the parking lot filling propane tanks, I told them the trailer is dropped off back where i got it and it was working good and do I need to sign anything? They said OK well your good to go, I will check it in later and send you a receipt, I tried calling the place after I got home to verify that the trailer was going to be checked in but kept getting disconnected This was on a Saturday. at 6 pm then 630 then 645 they close at 7pm. On Monday I got a notice from U haul that the trailer was never checked in and that I was now outstanding with trailer? I tried to call the place 4 times but no answer or getting disconnected, I finally called the 888 # and got in touch with a gal I explained what was going on and she sent them an E mail to check their lot as the trailer was parked in the sight of the front door. This in my opinion is not great customer service. Definitely not what I am accustomed to from U haulStanley K.

Has an emergency. Could not turn on truck. Tried calling MULTIPLE times for over90 minutes. NO ANSWER. missed a day of work and had to Uber 2 times that day and the following day because my ride was unavailable due to me being delayed. Was done loading the truck at 10:30 a.m. did not leave the place I packed my truck in until 3pm. Not to mention the person I blocked I also missed work. Expensive day all around not to mention the fact that I wasted 5 hours. Rented a truck 2 weeks prior. Leak in the back. Raining heavy. Had truck for 2 days. No one wearing masks for starters. I drove the truck home and noticed the engine light on, tried calling and they had forwarded their call to the 800 u-haul where there was a 40 minute wait. I drove the 5 miles back to the store and basically got the brush off "It's probably the gas cap and we don't have any more trucks anyway." Then I asked about the fact that I am paying to drive back and she said basically " Oh well".i will never go back there, totally ZERO concern for m, the customer. when I arrived there were 2 people in front of me. No uhaul employee's to be found. After about 7 min of waiting 2 employee's showed up from the Wawa market next door. I had already made a reservation a week prior but the check in time was still lengthy. I only came to this location because it is closer to my house. As always, scheduling was very difficult. The re-routing of calls that are not picked up at the location to the main line - who can't really do anything - was extremely frustrating. I had a very good experience renting from U-Haul Horsham. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facility was kept clean and well lit. The only downside was the sliding door (#12 door) to the storage units was often in op forcing me to walk around to get to my storage unit. I have never had such a bad experience and paying so much a month. If I was not pregnant I would have moved storage facilities. You never knew if the card would read and open the door. Sometimes the doors were locked during operating hours. Other times one door wouldn’t work and you were stuck using a small entrance door. I could never pay my bill online because my info was incorrect and I had made multiple attempts to correct it and got no place. There was a time I went to pay my monthly rent and I was told the person did not know how to use the debit payment method that I needed to come back and then they wanted to charge me a late fee because of their own employees fault. We came by right before closing, it was freezing and snow on the ground, after driving 3 days. The guys were amazing! They said we could park the truck in the lot and unpack the next day. First of all when I go to my storage the main light goes out after a certain time and I have to go back and restart the light. Also I had moved out and told them that I was emptying out my unit and when I told them that everything is out and cleaned the person told me that everything is okay no payment. Then I was billed for December of $191 I called and was told that I will be refunded and it will be in my checking account in 3-4 days. That time period went by and no refund came in so I went to the Horsham location and at first I had a hard time with the person on the counter ( I was in a middle of moving out which during that time frame I left some items which I took my lock with me to use at the storage facility. Which they had placed a lock there that’s no problem I was glad that they did that.) I had the manager to go and opened the door. Well when I was talking to the person about it she said that I had left it in a trashy condition which I told her that the manager went with me to open the door which I had emptied and swept out and cleaned the unit. She told me that the person that I was talking on the phone was terminated on that day I didn’t believe that. She told me that I will be getting a refund but it will be another 5 days which had frustrated me a lot. She wasn’t look concerned about the situation .Thomas H. | Overall Experience
