We rented a 15' moving truck. When we got the truck we noticed the battery light on and saw the Assistant Manager and ask him about it. He said that it's always like that and the truck was GTG. On our way to bring a FULLY LOADED truck to unload, the battery completely died and we were stuck, called Roadside Assistance and it took 2 hrs to get the truck moving again. The RS assistance said the alternator was bad and we brought it back to the Uhaul place. Our options were we could get another truckâ€¦ Mind you the truck that broke down is FULLY LOADED. Instead we charged the batteryâ€¦ got stuck again, a nice gentleman helped us charge the battery again, made it a yard to our destination and died again. Charged again to get it into the driveway to unload. Called to have the truck taken away. The whole experience was a crap show. It's stressful to move as it is.. this made it so much more stressful.MaryAnne S.

Floor of the enclosed trailer had a sheen of oil/grease that wasn't noticed until I started loading it. It took a while to clean it up, and should have been cleaned by the prior renter,Stan D.
Called uhaul 3 times, 1st time was to change the name of the person driving, rep Amanda said she changed name and noted it in the system when I was unable to pick up my uhaul I called again and was told that the name was not in the system and that my reservation was earlier and did not help whatsoever, instead she told me to make a new reservation for a 10 foot boxtruck since there were no cargo vans available why couldnt she cancel my reservation to make a new one with that same uhaul ive had reserved for months, Third rep I spoke with tried to help and when I asked her if everything was correct and good she said yes and that she would send me videos, I followed all instructions and was still unable to pick up my uhaul. my first reservation went smoothly but this one was a horrible experience and makes me think twice about renting a uhaul instead Ill take my business to Enterprise or Penske because I have options, you guys need to make this right, give more training to your reps to communicate and allow for better intergration with the site and app. Please reach out to me concerning this issue I would like to know how uhaul will handle this situation. The main woman ( Samantha) in charge of this facility has messed up my order more than once. Yesterday my 2 pods, from storage and 2 empty ones were to be available by 10 AM. Instead the 2 movers and I showed up by 11 with my furniture in the truck from my apartment full of my furniture. I paid them by the hour and the movers started at 8:30. The people at the desk had to “ call Samantha “ and after a while she came in to work and brought out the 4 pods. She cost me one hour of time for the movers!!! When my pods and 1 storage unit were filled and the move was completed. I went back in to obtain paper or email documentation regarding my 4 pods to be shipped to Jacksonville NC. Neither one of the people at the desk ( who have always been competent and professional ) were able to email or print a copy for me of my $2000 shipment. I asked where their boss was. She went home was the reply. I still have no copy or email of my household goods in Uhaul pods that are to be shipped to me at my new apartment in Jacksonville NC!! I rented a 25 foot truck on 08/19/2022 at 6;30 PM the Mil out was 113438.0 Milage charge 0.99x30 Mil Charge29.70 rental was 39.95 was69.65 Eviorment Fee $1.00 Est Sub Total was$70.65 Est Tax$5.31 Est Total Charge was $75.96 How was the Gas on 3/8 when I gased the Truck at Speedway in Huber HEIGHTS i PUT15.00 Doug Ball put in $20.00 so I put the Gas back on 1/2 Then Doug Ball said I called My Son to Extend it for a Couple of Days i Told him you Should Call me I used my Credit Card not your Son So You and your Son Can Pay The Bill Doug Ball can't rent a U-Haul cause he Keep a truck for a year and the Bill was 3,000 an Someone had to pay for his Bull eviormental was1.00Mark D.
Make the rules consistent when renting items. We rented a van and they requested 3 phone numbers for point of contacts because we rented a van. Totally unnecessary in my opinion. The pick up and drop off was very easy. We rented the truck for 2 days but only needed it for one. There was no hassle with returning it early. My only concern was the truck. It felt a little unsafe to drive. Seemed like it needed some maintenance. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.Patrick T.

Once I got the uhaul everything was great. It was the pickup that I had problems. I had reserved this truck approximately 3 weeks prior to pickup date. Online I selected a pickup from the Huber Heights location and a dropoff location in Indiana. Online this process went thru fine with a price of 90. I was then called 1 day prior to pickup and was told that I had to pickup and dropoff at the Huber location. I asked if the price would remain at 90 and was told yes. When I arrived at the store the clerk told me it was going to be over $300. I told him what had happened but he said he did not have authorization to change the price. The clerk wanted to know who I had talked to. I tried to call customer service but had to wait over 1 hour on the phone so I went home to wait. I finally got thru and was told that the price had been fixed. So I had to drive back to the store. The clerk told me that he was able to get the price fixed and he tried to catch us in the parking lot. The clerk had our contact information and made no attempt to call us or text us. Anyway I was happy that the price was fixed and the rest of the process went smoothly.Dave H.

The truck was very poor condition. The AC wasn't working and the passenger door seal came out which caused my wife to have to sit with it. When we returned the truck Saturday 8/13/22 to the Huber heights location the manager, person helping us were incredibly not understanding and honestly rude. They charged us too much mileage We took a picture of the mileage when we started and showed them the mileage but they would accept it at all. The manager didn't get involved until we asked for him and he was standing there next to the lady without saying a word. Another employee who was helping another customer makes rude and defensive comments. Why is another employee who is helping another customer getting involved. Finally when I asked for the male manager he spoke up but was very defensive and rude. Why would we EVER use uhaul again. I have used uhaul for 4 of my boys moving to college but this experience was crap.fYI when we were there the day before to pick up the truck another customer was having problems and was insulting the worker there. My wife and I stuck up for her but you guys have a serious service issue with the Huber heights store!Steve M.

This was absolutely the worst truck rental I have ever had. That truck should be in the junkyard. The seal on the windshield was flapping on top of the cab the entire time. The brake pedal had to be pushed to the floor for any attempt to brake. Gas/engine would not go above 65-68 mph on highway. Seat adjustments are broken or disengaged. The staff at this location are always nice and helpful. Staff was not issue. However, I am going to have to think long and hard before I rent from Uhaul again if this company is willing to put someone in a truck like that.Brenda J.

The process of opening a business "corporate" account is not worth the hassle! they have conflicting pricing that I mentioned and they would not honor the price that is posted. because the signage have not came in yet for them to replace the pricing. the headache I went through to register for a business account again is not worth it! I spent time on the phone for them to have spelled my business name wrong and then I had to spend the same amount of time in person for them to correct what was entered. And I still had to use my personal information instead of the business account I created. I went into the space and a huge rat trap sat in the middle of the floor now I question will my business inventory be safe in this location, Should I be worried about rat dropping and damaged boxes. I couldn’t clear out my storage unit in early 2020 because of COVID-19 and I had to cancel my flight to the USA. Now, with the COVID variant, in 2021, I still had to delay my flight to the USA. Unfortunately, the rates had increased a fair amount during this period so I was not too pleased. You might have thought about special cases, such as internationals, like myself, especially 60 plus in age, unable to travel to collect belongings, with difficulties getting vaccinated, during the world- wide pandemic. The wait time for service inside the store is terrible. The process takes entirely too long - I believe the problem is exacerbated by a cumbersome computer program. Yesterday, there was only one person behind the counter which doesn't help matters either. Overall, the facility is clean but there is a problem area at the rear north entrance.
