Loaded my security card completely wrong, then was absolutely rude for zero reason m. The girl didn’t communicate that she was on the phone talking to some one in an ear piece or air pod situation so when I thought she was talking to me she said I wasn’t talking to you I’m trying to figure this out if you don’t want to have to go to the front desk to check in then stop. Then three days later I get a phone call saying my storage unit is past due. My response how is my second storage unit I have rented from you all gone past due when it’s on the same account as my other storage unit and I’m on auto pay! Extremely frustrating!!! Rated as low as I can ,do not recommend using. In need of customer service and politeness. If customers are valued why tell them to take there RV for asking for receipt for leaving keys with them. Was charged a cleaning fee even though I cleaned the loading mat. It's just plain wrong to charge for a speck of dirt. It doesn't cost 25 dollars to reach down and wipe up a speck of dirt. It already costs way more than it deserves, that cleaning fee was just gouging.JOHNATHON R.

Due to nor providing adequate antifreeze treatment in the fuel and not informing us of the risk of the water in the fuel freezing, the truck did not start the next morning when we were ready to leave for the airport. We were 3 hours waiting for roadside assistance to sort out where we were and who to send to help. Due to that delay we missed our flight and had to reschedule, costing us $100 in change fees and $130 in shuttle fees as our new flight arrival time was too late for our friend to pick us up. We would like to be reimbursed for those costs created by a mon functioning vehicle.Shari W.

The return after hours website did not work, at step 5 it would not accept any picture of parked location, spent 2 hours trying different browsers and another phone, And the app could not find my contract at all. Phones where also down today. After selecting prompt 2 for traler and truck information to talk to the representative at this location all i would get is dial tone so back to town i went. Also the auto transport i rented was assured to fit the vehicle i had stated but after getting to the vehicle i measured the wheelbase size turned out to be 147 not 137 inchs and would not fit the trailer thus the late night return. The representative I delt with was professional and did double check the vehicle size for me and the right year and model was applied. He acknowledged and apologized for the phones and was great to deal with 5 stars to the rep. Trailer was as expected. 1 star to the computer systems , app, website and electronic customer service systems in place.TRISTIN G.

The 26 foot box truck I had 187,993 miles was a pile of junk . The steering alignment was way off , needed new brake pads . When I got it up to 55 mph on the highway it was vibrating bad . This truck should be taken out of service , before it kills somebody on the road . Just another negative experience for me from Uhaul. I was extremely disappointed today ...KYLE R.

The person that checked me in was too meticulous and made it seem like I rented the truck just to abuse it. ALSO I had the fuel level exactly where it was when I received (I had a picture on my phone)t and she argued over 1 -1/2 gallons. I think there should be some streamlined flow between U-Haul rental and U-Box service vs human error, because when I rented U-Haul rental to move my belongings from U-Box, my U-Box wasn't ready (tucked very far back of storage facility, luckily on ground level with limited access to the door), even though I mentioned many times that specific reason. Another thing: prices at reservation should be locked in at that time of reservation. It just feel wrong that prices fluctuates daily. Other than that, customer service were great and helpful!VAS N.
With only limited staff on hand it was a significant wait to get waited on. I tried to go back to ask some questions, after visiting and securing the two spaces I rented, and after a significant wait as another customer was being helped, I had to leave for another appointment. I found two brand new locks on the floor of my two units, after having just bought two from the staff person and wanted to figure out what to do with them. April 2019, When we packed our U-Box, the cost of Shipping was quoted at : $3000.00. At the time we where trying to sell our house in Alaska and move to Massachusetts. (we just didn't know exactly where). It took more than a year to sell the house, The U-Box and most of our clothes, cooking utensils, and household goods where packed in the the U-Box. We survived two winters without boots, long-johns or jackets... they where in the in the U-Box. April 2021, the house in Clam Gulch, Alaska sold. We packed the last few things we could fit into our car, loaded up the dogs and drove away. We found a house close to Amy's mother, drove East... Bought the new home and asked for the U-Haul U-Box to be Delivered. The COST has now jumped to $4600 plus Delivery Fee? On top of that, there were three delays getting across the country, poor communications, Phone calls very early in the morning.. and none when someone said the would call back. All in All, On a scale of 1 to 10 this is about a NEGITIVE 3.Amy T.
The communication between the call center and the individual uhaul stores is terrible. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. Nothing was done right and it ended up costing me over 200 dollars to correct their mistakes in kenai. The manager refused to come out and talk to me in Spokane Valley. Horrible customer service. Although he was the only person working when I picked up my U-Haul rental, he very skillfully handled another customer, a phone call with an apparently unhappy customer and me. He did great, he asked the phone caller if he could call them back, took great care of the other customer and me. Please make sure you recognize him!!! Setting up our travel route was amazing! The worker spent time finding us the right trailer we needed. We originally were going to haul our stuff to Two Harbors, MN and it would've costed us over $600. The worker suggested a nearby city (30 minutes away from Two Harbors) that needed the trailer, and it cut our cost down to $350. They were very helpful on getting us a good trailer and a good rate! What stops me from giving a 5 star rating is; when I went to pick up the trailer, there was only 1 person working and 4-5 other customers picking up equipment as well. I was suppose to pick up my equipment at 10am, but since the employee was busy helping others get their equipment, I sat and waited for about an hour before getting help. It wasn't the employees fault, he did the best he could, but I was ready to get on the road and it set us back an hour. When you guys have customers coming to get equipment, have more workers there to help the process! This guy was busy hooking up trailers for people while 3-4 customers sat inside the store waiting to be helped.RYAN F.

Absolutely! The day the truck was supposed to be returned was a nationwide hiccup with UHaul's computers. The folks at the Kenai location were wonderful, ensuring that another day was provided at no charge. I got a call the next morning to make sure things were okay, and the lady was just super. I can't imagine how frazzled they were dealing with the events of the outage from the previous day, but she was very upbeat, apologetic (although I wasn't bothered by it, because it wasn't something anyone could control!), and took the time to make sure I felt like a valued customer. Great experience, the employees at that location deserve five stars!Nancy R.

The person I picked the truck up from was rude. She interrupted and did not answer questions. She told me I would be charged if there was snow on the floormats - in Alaska - in winter! Great drop off but after spending almost $5000 and driving the Alcan the lady asked us to take the 26 foot moving truck through the car wash because it was so dirty. Cleaning the rental truck after spending so much money and the turmoil of driving for 5 days should not be something that a rental company asks customers to do and if so should be asked when renting to begin with. Though I wanted estimates for shipping and renting a truck, I was automatically given a reservation for both. I had to ask that reservations be cancelled and had to follow up on it. I was charged insurance when I was only asking for a shipping estimate on UBoxes. I never signed a contract either. I asked for a refund on the charge. I was not given a receipt showing that I had returned all of the blankets. I asked for a receipt and was told No. I took pictures of both emptied UBoxes and the blankets that I returned. Though Corrine was nice, Xena and Kelly were not. Xena was condescending to me and saying that I was confused and Kelly was snotty. Please have Xena and Kelly receive more training on customer service. Because of the poor customer service, I chose another moving company to ship my items out of state. Your loss, their gain.Ann H.
Staff was friendly, she did make a mistake and put my middle name in as my last name and spelt it incorrectly but I caught it when she gave me a copy of my paperwork and she corrected it. I wasn't made aware that it was a U-Box and not an actual U-Haul storage so that was disappointing to find out after paying but I will still be using it (but I'm sure other customers would appreciate clarification ahead of time). The facility was clean but a second point of access would be convenient due to the fact that I have a 1,000 pound piece of equipment to move in and it will be a pain to haul all the way across the building since the second set of doors aren't open. Overall, it was a good experience, I just wish I was aware of the fact that it wasn't a normal U-Haul storage room, the typos weren't a big deal, just added a delay to the process, mistakes happen, I didn't mind, I'm just glad I caught that. I hope you guys open the second set of doors or will at least be accommodating and let me use them on Saturday when I move this equipment in.Vanessa U. | First Impressions
