Crappy location with no dedicated parking for customers who are only using their trucks for 3-8 hours. Had to walk over to 20 Water Street South to park and the meter didn’t even work properly. What a hasstle.. especially when you’re running late. Other locations have parking.. even ones in downtown Toronto.

I highly recommend insurance coverage. The roads are too risky not to have it. I would never rent without insurance. If a driver has a policy it is a small price to pay over a year, than the daily rental. The people at the downtown Kitchener on Charles are amazing. I work at a local business on Park Street that offers delivery, but it is less money and hassle to rent than to have the lumber company deliver. I would recommend contractor rates for higher volume users. If there were a miles plan or a day's plan for a free rental, I would refer constantly. Thanks Again Ian Robert Goodale.

There was no snow brush in the uhaul van. It also stalled in the parking lot as I was pulling into my parking spot. The vehicle started again, no problem. I just was unsure if it would stall again on my errands.
The van was clean, staff is always wonderful. The survey review is does not have adequate questions for this experiences.

I was extremely disappointed that my reservation was canceled 2 hours before pick up due to a flat tire on the trailer…. Fix it or get me another one! Calling me and giving me an option to pickup at another location 30 minutes away? NO, you as a company should figure that out and have it at the location that I booked a week in advance. My entire schedule was ruined because of this and cost me more money. Pretty shitty that a huge company can’t have a flat tire fixed within 2 hours…. I was ready to go down and do it myself.

Some re-arranging of booking from my chosen location down to the bigger victoria st location... but fine.
Some awkward combinations of equipment / dates / times / duration not available, but. I get it, it's busy university move-in season.
Easy enough collection process, though did require A LOT of photos, and wasn't easy with other vehicles obstructing view.
Some sticky substance in the truck bed, possibly spilled soda.
Return out-of-hours was a bit fiddly, refused 3 uploads of the mileage/fuel photo, eventually gave up and just posted the key.
Overall, not bad though, would do again any time I need a bigger vehicle.

No one was available to properly assist me, and the place was overcrowded with people waiting for help. Instead of guiding me, I was just told to install an app and follow the steps on my own—even though it was my first time using it. I ended up wasting almost 40 minutes trying to figure everything out, setting up an account, and dealing with unnecessary steps. On top of that, I had to locate my truck myself after being told to just go find it, which wasted another 45 minutes. Altogether, I lost nearly half of my 4-hour timeframe because of the poor support and disorganization. This was a very frustrating experience, and I believe I should be compensated for the lost time.

I was moving out of town 45 min I told them this I thought getting a truck was just getting a truck and I could drop it off at any uhal location but after the move in the small town I seen a unlace so I tryed to drop it there and they said my uhal truck was not a one way truck and the company made me drive it all the way 54 min back and had to pay extra gas and miles. I called customer service for help on this matter and no one was helpful at all INFACT the lady on the 1800 number came off very rude and didn’t seem interested in her job let alone trying to help whatso ever ,not even attempt to see if I can drop it off at a different location.. at the end of the day this is a multibillion dollar company. There should’ve been absolutely no reason that I could not have left the truck in the town I moved to that had uhal .. the only person who tried to help and do anything was the very very nice man who worked at the esso gas station U-Haul in Ayr ,he’s the only person who even tryed ..

Open earlier so there’s no lineup on moving day, please
I really enjoyed dealing with the people very helpful, calming
but I was really upset by the lineup. It only opened at 9 AM (because of Sunday ?or because it was a long weekend maybe ?)and I had thought that I had booked it for 8:30 AM so I was paying movers from 9 AM but I had no truck til about ten a.m. and then there was what I thought of as a heckuva lineup, and I was just trembling with stress while I was trying to fill out/answer the form on my phone in the U-Haul app.
It was the last day of the month and I made quite a few mistakes. I booked 10 foot truck because I thought that’s what I had the booked the time before for the same stuff but closer to the move I realized that it had been much bigger so the movers were expecting a 10 foot truck and, it was really a 15 foot that I changed it to and actually I think I might have had a 19 foot truck the time before (my brother thinks so too) I should’ve notified the movers but I didn’t realize it. I wish I had not booked it on the last day of the month since I was just moving all my stuff into storage.
I’m a senior, and this was only the second move that I had ever arranged. Honestly, I’ll have to recover from the whole thing , didn’t ever guess that they would open late ( 9 am seemed so late) on a moving day like a long weekend that included the 31st/ the last day of the month. That was more stress On top of all the mistakes I made.
I do understand that staff need a life too. My dad had a store and we all worked there and I remember how upset we were when the government was deciding whether to let stores open on Sundays. What are we gonna do ? so then We stay closed on Sundays because dad was already working six days a week..

The open air lockers on the second floor allows for birds to land and poop into the storage spaces, needed to cover everything in plastic.
Access hours ended too early in the day, it would be much more convenient to have longer hours, even if it’s just for storage access and not for the office

My husband and I stored our stuff at this unit since we were showing our house. We paid $240 a month which is substantial. We were advised once we signed up and gave my credit card info that their hours online did not reflect recent changes and that access to the unit was only permitted until 7 pm because of theft issues. This did not sit easy with us and was inconvenient since we work until 5:30 every day. They were also not friendly at all when we were signing up and it was kind of shocking.
In the 2 months we had it, we got 2 calls about issues. One was a leak which they said was coming from our unit. I drove there on my lunch break, checked it, and there was nothing coming from our unit. The second call we got was that they said ants were coming from our unit and advised us that we were not allowed to store food or drinks. We never would put something like that in our unit. So I drove back after work one day and sure enough, no ants from our unit.
I felt very uneasy again that our stuff was not going to be safe and that one of the other units would cause damage. So my husband and I thought about moving to another storage facility.
The final straw was getting a notice of late payment and being charged a $15 penalty. I was confused because our payment came off directly from my credit card and I had set it up on auto pay. I went in to talk to them and sure enough they didn’t charge me properly. They refunded me but by this point I was done.
My husband and I moved our stuff to another Uhaul and had to make 2 trips. We tried to start as early as possible and the only day we could do it was the day before the next payment came out. So we were rushing and working really hard. I came back to this Uhaul and informed the gentlemen working that we were closing out our account and his response was “well we close in 10 mins” I told him I was aware and was going as fast as we could. Then he made note on the account and then the gentlemen said “ well I hope you’re done soon because I want to go Home”
Needless to say, experience overall was not good.

The customer service representative took way too long to close out my account. It took over half an hour. When they did a search for my account they could not find it on your software/database. They finally located my account but were unable to print out a receipt to verify that my account had been closed. After calling the manager at home they were able to print out a receipt verifying the account has been closed and provide me with a receipt. When they tried to print out a receipt the software would kick them out of the system. It took four or five attempts to finally get a legitimate receipt printed from your software. Other than that the service was great.

The parking lot is a bit small if it's busy. Vehicle access to the secure part of the building can be tricky if the road has more than a bit of traffic. Narrow hallways can be a challenge to navigate with larger items. I'd probably look for a different place next time. I found the staff super friendly and helpful.

We couldn’t figure out how to open the garage door to drive in to the bay to unload the car. There’s supposed to be a drive-in bay for loading and unloading but the entrance is off a busy street with no parking and the driveway is so tiny the car doesn’t fit. There’s no keypad to open it. The keypad only opens the walk-in door nearby. I got inside and found my unit and lock no problem, but how can they not have a way to drive in after office hours? We have heavy things and they have no parking for cars. And there’s no phone number to reach the office and ask them. You get the general customer service office. Customer Service said they would leave them a message to call me back to let me know, but no one has after two days.

Rented me a truck locked shut w padlock, w/o giving me key, which i discovered when office was closed. Customer service# basically told me it was my problem/ expense bc no roadside assistance upgrade

1st floor should mean..pull up and unload.. not carry all your belongings up a large flight of stairs. Callng the 1st floor "ground floor" doesn't make up for the misleading experience.

Pulling the U haul truck in and out of the storage area was difficult due to the location of the building. Stairs as opposed to a ramp were also not wonderful. Other than that, good!

My U-Boxes from the States were waiting in the front bottom row inside their warehouse. We were able to back in a large truck so movers had easy access. Very satisfied with the whole U-Box experience!
