Pick up scheduled at 9:00. Had to wait 45 minutes for the manager to finish something else. The person who was in the store/office was unable to help us with a truck pickup. Then sent us out to a truck parked on the other side of the big parking lot, with an app to check in. Truck cab had sticky liquid spilled on floor and dashboard. We were given the wrong trailer that was supposed to carry our car. We got that issue fixed, however, the correct trailer nearly dropped our car on the interstate which could have resulted in great bodily harm due to the fact that I personally drove another vehicle behind the uhaul the entire trip not exceeding over 55 mph because the truck itself would not even go over 50 mph due to whatever issue there was with the truck.Stormi S.

The trailer I was expecting was listed as 6x12 foot with a ramp ! The ramp however was only 5ft wide so the trailer was of no use to me . I only had it for under an hour and was not offered any kind of discount or refund !!John C.

Waited 20 minutes for someone to come outside to receive the rental back in. They barely said two words to me, unhitched the trailer and walked away without even asking how the rental went. Other people in the lot seemed very frustrated with this location and employee too.Carl B.
Chippewa falls uhaul was very helpful, Eau Claire was NOT. That was the location I was supposed to be at, apparently they are not cleaning out their units to make their numbers look better. Don't advertise a trailer as 6x12 when the gate isn't the full width. Need to clearly state the width. I could not get the item I was picking up without completely taking it apart. Added about an hour and a half to my pick up and was exhausting to boot.Michael C.

Eau Claire location: Horrible experience. I reserved a truck a month and a half out from my move. 1 day before I moved I received a voicemail from the Abbotsford location looking for confirmation on my truck, but my truck was reserved for Eau Claire. I called the Eau Claire location looking to clear things up, they told me I made my reservation for Abbotsford. Confused, I hung up and checked my documents. NOPE they lied, I did not make that mistake. Every other time I called back I never got connected to a rep, instead got kicked to customer service and spent all morning on hold. Sick of waiting, I went in store and they told me that they called the previous day (Thursday) to confirm my reservation in Eau Claire but I didn't answer because I was at work all day and 1) all calls were not labeled Uhaul or anything 2) I didn't receive any voicemails so they â€˜bumped' or did something with my reservation and it somehow ended up in Abbotsford. So I chose to work with the Chippewa location, it was more expensive than my original package but they had one available for me, even though the Eau Claire location said Abbotsford was the closest location with an available truck. Extremely disappointed and made moving, stressful as it is, MUCH more stressful.Mollie P.
Our original truck that was assigned via online check-in was given away. However, the associate did a great job taking care of us and setting us up with a new truck. He was very nice and we appreciate him troubleshooting. Need your to have more staff scheduled for peak times.Michael S.

Here is the problem! When I signed up I asked the person at the desk to set me up as auto pay. When I got the first email bill I realized that it wasn’t done. I called the phone number and after a 30 minute hold I paid online and tried to set up autopay, it was confirmed I thought. I therefore go Oreo the July bill as I thought I had auto pay. When I got. A late notice with a 40$ late fee. I called again and after a 22 minute hold got to a person who said he put me on auto pay and charge me 149$ for the two units. He said he didn’t have the authority to waive the late fee. Said he would transfer me directly to someone who could. I was placed right back in to the call in line and a projected 26 min hold. I hung up . This morning I was charged the 40$ with no explanation.The phone system is awful and answered by people with no authority. VERY FRUSTRATING!!Roy S. | First Impressions

When sent the move in information a brief explanation of where the unit is located in reference to the building would be very helpful (inside, outside, behind building, etc.) Also I was told there would be a lock provided in my storage shed and there was not. i was under the impression from the explanation of the woman that rent to me that the total due would be approx $350+ tax if I did not go over 360 miles or 160 hours on the unit. Upon returning the equipment I was charged .59 cents/mile adding to the total due of $472. I bought LP at the location also. I feel taken and ripped off. I don't see renting uHaul again due to the slip in charges.Cory V.

The linoleum tile flooring is half-missing & very dirty in one storage unit, but the other unit is great. Keeping the building at max 85 degrees is a little too warm in the summer (we were sweating buckets when the building was at 80). Overall though, I really like this facility. The after hours drop off procedure was only communicated through a note with misspellings. It instructed me to use a combination code padlock to lock my keys in the back of the truck. However, I never received a code, and customer service was impossible to reach. I was forced to choose between leaving the keys in the unattended truck or return at 7:00 AM the next morning, well out of my way, to return the keys. I opted for the latter, but I'm not sure how many other people would do so.Austin A.

Reserved rental space for a 26 ft U haul truck and was quoted a set price. Upon arrival was told no such storage was available. Storage was supplied, but at twice the price. Storage provided, was not suitable for 26 ft U haul truckload so additional lockers were required. This caused us to have to pay twice as much as we had planned for. In an email I received, I was told that I would have 24 hour access to my possessions. However, I arrived at the Lake Hallie location at 10:15 one night to find the doors locked and my access denied. I was moving my things from Eau Claire, so this was very inconvenient for me to have to drive back with all of my things and wait until the next day to unload. There was no staff that I could find at the Chippewa location, my daughter and I needed help luckily there was another family to help us with the unit and the lock. I reserved a spot online for Eau Claire weeks ago, drive there to find that all units were sold. I had to drive 30 min out of our way for this. The guy in Eau Claire was kind and patient with my rant. This is awful for uhaul to put this extremely poor service on the backs of your workers. The instructions were not clear regarding the vehicle entry areas. 2 of the vehicle entry doors did not even work (open). I was able to gain access to the storage areas and my unit without entering my personal key code. There was no lock in my unit as explained in the instructions, making me go back and forth to the office. I had to go to the office 3 times to complete my initial access to my unit.
