I had reserved at 15' truck to move all of my things for that day, but when I get there and try to check in the employee next to the one helping me said he just gave my truck to the customer he was helping even though i had it reserved. Then they said that was the last one available and I was forced to rent a 26' truck instead, which was ridiculously too big, which ended up costing ,me way more money than I was initially quoted and had budgeted for. The truck in question had something wrong with it as well as it was lurching back and forth the entire way to and back which was extremely uncomfortable. Overall I will never go back to this location and have already told people of the unprofessional handling of everything. I was also told I would only be getting charged a lesser amount since I went under the estimated mileage but I still had additional fees added onto my bank statement, horrible experience and service. 0/5 stars.STEPHEN T.

It started off a little chaotic with the reserved vehicle not available. The site lead quickly remedied the situation. Since it's such a busy location we recommend getting as early a start as possible to minimize wait times. The employees were nice but the amount of time it took at the counter to get the truck seemed way too long considering that I went through everything online when I made the reservation. When I first located my ubox it was not ready for me to store my belongings in. Then the door to the ubox would not close. I made an appointment to put the rest of my belongings in and called 3 times to confirm and the truck drove off with my box during my appointment time and I couldn't load my stuff. The customer support is awful no one knows what they are doing. They told me my ubox was being delivered 3 times and I wasted three days waiting for my box. They didn't know where it was. This was a stressful experience I was told multiple things and nothing would get done. I would never recommend this service to anyone. They have poor communication and will lose your stuff!!Linda T.

We had a reservation for a 15' truck at a different location. When I went to go get it they said they didn't have it. We were then sent to this location where after waiting in line for an hour I was once again told that they didn't have any 15' trucks. So now I got a smaller truck and it took 3 hours in total to get but the truck had to be back by 615â€¦ I was given a truck that clearly had been in an accident (drivers side door wouldn't open all the way and the tire was being rubbed by the bumper) then the truck number that was on my contract was given to someone elseâ€¦ it was just all wrong from the beginning. Mr Rios helped as best he could. He was nice and professional. He did his job well but too many things were already wrong there wasn't much he could do. So long story short I'm still moving using my truck and doing load after load and paid $75 for nothing.Joni B.

The inside of my unit was unfinished concrete, with dust and crumbled concrete all around. There was no lighting inside the inside the unit, and next door, labelled mechanical room was racks of servers, and a multitude of monitors. This dealership, just to make clear, had become a target of frequent smash and grab runs, some involving equipment. One day, there were three intelligence analysts in the mechanical room studying their footage of the theft of a truck off the lot. Literally, a veritable hub of Intel for the border just south via the rail line. 10/10 I would trust my stuff to them yet again. Bang on staff, management that will surprise you with the best deal even you least expect it, and really understanding.. Do not go to the National City location. Holy shit Uhaul. What the hell happened? I booked MONTHS in advance and was told "maybe you'll have a truck. We'll let you know two days before your move. You should probably book a backup plan though..." Luckily I managed to get a truck. I'm driving down the coast and get a call saying "Sure you reserved a location near your final destination but we don't give a shit about you so you need to drop off your truck 15-20 miles away. Oh also because you're towing a car, you need to come to this location first to unhook the car, then drive to your location to unload your Uhaul, then drive back." I was told by the woman on the phone that iI would be reimbursed for the gas for the extra 30 miles of driving.I would like to know where I should send the receipt. The team at the location was spectacular. This is not their fault.You need to fix your SOPsChristopher R.

I checked in online (suggested for security reasons so I wouldn't need to present my documents in-person), but upon arriving at the location, not only was I required to present both my ID and my credit card, but also my online order had not been recorded correctly. They asked for nearly double what my online reservation had indicated, and when questioned said it was probably "just taxes and fees." But when we reviewed the order, they'd added in a dolley and blanket rental that I had declined in the online portal. It was all sorted eventually and I got my trailer for the online reservation price. Other than that, staff were super pleasant.Avery A.

I had a reservation set up I was called and texted the address to pick up at emerald oil I was picking up at 8am when I got there they did not have my reservation then I was sent to 1805 Massachusetts Ave and when I got there I was told I needed to wait until 9 when they open to pick up the truck I reserved for 8 am then I had to bring it back to the same location instead of leaving it at a closer location to my new address.Lisa R.

We had a pick up location in Claremont because they did not have trailers in Mira Mesa. When we got to Claremont we were told our trailer was in Lemon Grove another 30 miles away. The CA pricing is outrageous. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.Debra K.

We had an unfortunate reservation mix up that cost us to lose much needed time & money. I had made the reservation online for a 4x7x8 size unit weeks prior. Our son wanted to move some items in prior to our arrival/original move in date of May 22. I was able to change it to May 20 but unfortunately our son ended up not being able to borrow a truck so he did not go, which ended up being a “no show” resulting in canceling the entire reservation. I was not made aware of this cancellation policy so was very surprised to show up on the 22nd, no reservation to be found & discovering that this particular size was no longer available—only a larger, more expensive 8x10 was. We were in a ‘must have’ situation since we were only there to help our son for the day & the Uhaul truck we had rented at this same location was waiting. Gina, the marketing manager, and Daniel Rios, the general manager, we both service-oriented and compassionate. Kelli, the assistant manager, however, was not. She did not look for solutions and has rigid and uncompromising decision making tendencies, which is not helpful to customers, especially during an unprecedented pandemic. Gina was amazing through. She acknowledged my concerns and apologized, which is everything to a customer, and she followed up to ensure resolution was reached. On Friday July 31st, everything was excellent great customer service dispit the traumatic experience everyone dealt with, the online had a mess of things but Levi helped us and accommodating me in my time of need. On Sunday the 8/2/20 I had a different experience I did not receive the care like on Friday, I was not pleased with how the day turned out due to not having all information. So unorganized. Every single step of the way there were problems. Staff needs to be trained. Very poor customer service. You kept incorrectly billing me and I would call to fix it. Thinking it was resolved I then would receive emails saying I still owed. This happened multiple times. I then went in person and they would look up my account and say everything was fine. I then would receive another email so back in person I went- 4 different times. I spent so much time on the phone and going into the facility to resolve your mistakes. Then you sent my emergency contact a bill-this was my father and it got him very upset thinking I wasn't paying my bills. My dad had a heart attack and stroke a year ago and upsetting him was extremely upsetting to me. Final straw, I moved out and went to the office to inform you all that I was moving. I was assured I was moving out on time and would not be billed. I was billed and told I was late and there would be a lean on my property which is a joke since I emptied out the storage unit.
