They didn’t have the trailer I reserved, had to wait for another return, then got bumped in line and had to wait longer. Workers were not familiar with equipment and trailer smelled like pee.

Have 800# spoke person explain about request of truck time.They asked how long do you need a truck. But didn't explain that you could request 24 hour usage and that if you gave shorter length and go over that your could encure a charge.I would haved p/u truck night before they closed had I new instead of going there at 7:00 am.So I could started moving earlier.

I have no comments in regards to improvement. I do, however, have kudos to give to Sandy, who assisted me at check out, and Cornell, who assisted me with the vehicle. They both were great. Sandy was very cordial and answered all of the questions I had. I was able to have a more in depth conversation with Cornell as he readied the truck. He is a fine gentleman and has great customer service skills. Great job!!!

Inconvenient to pick up a truck with 1/4 tank of fuel and my first stop on a moving day has to be the gas station.

This visit was pleasant. I dealt with more polite service reps. I had visited earlier in the day and the customer service rep (female) was not clear professional or polite. After my interaction with her I decided to deal strictly onlibe to avoid that type of service.

When the line to rent equipment is long, one of the other employees behind the counter should step in and help the next customer in line. I waited 45 minutes to check out the trailer I reserved in advance.

The problem is I picked up the truck at 4 pm I was doing self serve return. I did not bring back until next morning but I was charged another day I did not have the truck more than 24 hours. If this is the policy I should have been told that specifically, I have rented from you before and never been told that.

It may have been a fluke thing, but I have rented for the past 3 weekends and not had the type of issues that I had on this past rental. There wasn't enough staff to accommodate all the rentals; then when I got my 15 foot truck, it wasn't working properly, and the only other truck I could get is a 17 foot or a 10 foot.It was very disappointing because I had rented for 2 other weekends in a row, and then to have to wait longer for another truck, to have to wait in line for close to an hour, to have a truck that wasn't working properly, nor was it clean, I ended up being at the rental location for about 2 hours.

On this day Sun 2/25/18 Ericka was the only well mannered professional. The other employees don't acknowledge customers, or offer assistance or saying "we'll be right with you". I came in the next day on Mon 2/26/18 to exchange 26 footer for a 10 footer, I had the same feel, no customer kindness or assistance. On this day Stacy was the professional, the other employees stand around talking and laughing. Just not a customer friendly place. I heard profanity constantly by customers in small talk and employees laughing along. The overall atmosphere from some of the employees are not customer service friendly and professional besides the two I mentioned in Ericka and Stacy, took their work seriously.

The system was down in San diego on the 24th so i had to pay cash for the rental and a $100 deposit. Your general manger by the name of Elijah Pitman assured me since the printer was also down he would update my contract saying i paid cash for the rental and deposit and i should be fine once i arrived to las vegas. I dropped it off this morning at your Boulder Hwy location and your employee by the name of Jonathan Cunningham was extremely rude that reverted to him calling me names (Dumb) and saying that his system said i didn't have a deposit! Im extremely angry and would appreciate a call back immediately. I've called both locations and gave messages . two employees said they will transfer my messages and i have yet to receive a call back

We reserved a truck online to pick up Sunday 2/25 at 7:30a.m via the early pick up digital system. We arrived and the truck was not ready for us. They had the reservation in their system, but it was not ready. Had to make numerous calls to have someone come to the U-Haul location to get our truck for us.

Multiple computer problems when trying to simply rent a dolly for an hour went from a 5-minute process to 30. Understaffed.

Don't ever use your prepaid debit card at U Haul. After I used my card for a pre authorization, & paid cash to settle the final bill, the authorization didn't drop as I was told it would. In essence I was charged twice. When I called the Lemon Grove location, Eli, the mgr, pretended he wasn't the mgr. He also claimed I wasn't even calling the Lemon Grove U Haul...that I was talking to someone in the "control center". This person told me Eli, was the only person who could make an adjustment on my prepaid debit. What kind of mgr, would lie that he wasn't the mgr, lie that I was talking to Control Center. I was very uncomfortable when that answer, so I went to the Lemon Grove UHaul, & there was the guy, (Eli) who I'd talked on the phone, who claimed he wasn't the mgr. I knew he was the mgr, b/c he told me he was the day I rented the truck. Plus the young man at the desk asked if I had just called, & I had been talking to Eli. I dont believe the mgr, Eli had released the preauthorization hold until I came to Lemon Grove UHaul in person, though he claimed it had been released. To add insult to injury, on the phone, he said there was nothing he could do, but I could file a complaint. Really.....just give me my f-----money back!!! I finally got one of the authorizations released today, 5 days later, & one is still outstanding. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

I rented a 6x12 trailer I was told to go find it and to load it my self.. trailer was parked on a small slope didn’t have a trailer jack on it !! It was heavy !! Almost threw my back out it was raining!!! It wasn’t until I went back in and asked the guy if it was part of his job to check existing damage and to help me load and check that the vehicle I picked it up with was the one on his record. Well he said yes and walked out 15 min later. No wonder I wanted to go to lemon grove Massachusetts location. Very un happy ?????? I’m sure the owners don’t need a hurt back claim. Lucky I’m not that kind of person......

I made reservations for 18 Jan18 showed up and forgot my hitch after completing the rental I had to reschedule for 19 Jan18, but didn't end up needing the trailer. I called the evening of the 18th with the call center to cancel. I was told that my reset was canceled but never got the charge credited back to my account. I called the call center again and was told that I would be contacted to fix the credit. I was never contacted and was told it has been 30 days but it wasn't 30 days the 1st time I called and not 30 days as of yesterday when I called to follow up. I was offered a credit but requested a full refund because I never rendered any services or equipment. I had to do this review to attempt a refund. The representatives were nice but I shouldn't have to write a review to get my money back.
