I had a truck rental lined up for after hours pick up and unfortunate it didn't work out but as part of their contract included a $50 guarantee if the reservation fell through, they did in fact fulfill this payment. Not only that but they have been gracious with me anytime I've been late making a payment for my storage unit. They have worked with me when times were tough, especially during Covid, and they always come up with a solution so I don't lose my belongings. This is unlike ANY other storage company I've had. Their customer service is always helpful and the staff they have is wonderful, specifically one of their employees named Cory at the North Spokane, WA facility. I high recommend Uhaul to anyone looking for storage or looking to move.

rachele mello | Overall ExperienceI was never told I had to go to North Division location first before accessing the Lidgerwood storage but I went there and dropped off my trailer first and even after telling the employee I was headed to Lidgerwood they didn't ask if I was moving in. I then went to Lidgerwood and had to come all the way back to get my access code. Just a pain with a 20ft truck on a very busy street with terrible driveway access to both locations.

Maurice Gunn | Online Move InI rented U-Haul storage because online it said it was 24-hour access I have only a certain amount of time that I can be in my storage and I was looking forward to that once I got to the unit they said they no longer offer the 24 hours once I already paid and had my things there and so that was an issue and then I was treated disrespectfully but the staff member regarding the bathrooms one time and other than that I like you all storage I just needed something that was more suitable for my hours and wish that they had the 24 hours cuz we went to had any problems and I'd still be renting from U-Haul if so I moved out of my locker and moved everything out so I hope I get night remaining balance and $100 back from the deposit on the van thank you

And then you turned it into a satellite location (according to the 3nd call to the call center). So...secure....only because of a fence. There is nobody there to help anyone. I made several trips to the location looking to close out my unit. I made many calls a day for a week trying to get ahold of someone. I only talked to the call center 4 times. First call...no help. Second call, a lady told me she notified the location and I'd get a call back soon. Never got that call. 3rd call...was told it's a satellite location and I have to drive to a different location and he did text me the address and phone number for that location. NO ONE THERE AND NO ONE ANSWERED THOSE CALLS EITHER. 4th call, when again trying to get ahold of this other location, got connected directly to the call center. That lady was extremely helpful. I had also sent an email that did finally get answered. As the units are astronomically expensive, I was very worried about getting it closed out before you charged me again. So I have a question. When we rent a truck from yall, you want us to replace any gas we used. Sooo...since gas is 10 to 15 cents MORE EXPENSIVE than diesel....are YOU going to reimburse ME for all the fuel it took to try to get ahold of someone to close my unit?

corey stubbs | Overall ExperienceThe lady at the counter told me the padlock for my unit would be located inside on the ground. When I arrived at the unit there was none so I had to purchase my own. I attempted to speak to someone 4x about the lock and to make sure they are aware I purchased my own. However, they would ask me to hold and keep me on hold for 15 minutes or more. Longest wait time was 32 minutes until I hung up.

I had to make a last minute change to a truck instead of a trailer due to a light issue, but I was unable to leave the uhaul on site while I ran to pick up my wife and she could travel with our 4 year old. It so dumb that after payment someone can't leave the truck on site for a moment to shuffle cars around. 2. I know uhaul sells people's personal data. Because everytime I use uhaul I'm bombarded with spam calls, texts and emails. So forcing people to uoad their personal information into an electronic database like drivers license where uhaul is allowed access to my phone and its data, infact because uhaul only has one way to do things it's forcing me as a customer to allow uhaul the organization access to my camera and data is insane. And don't think while you read this, well then use someone else. There is no one else. Yall are essentially a monopoly on moving. So yeah, these reason's are why I am unsatisfied. Other than that. All the people I delt with direct were great.

Waited an hour for fire department and police to disable gate so we can get 3 cars and a trailer with , an elderly who has dementia and is on medication and needed it as well as another with diabetes and my animals needed to be let out of their crates. COILD NOT REACH ANYONE WITH UHAUL NOR COULD 911. Manager never responded to voice message. For this, it’s an epic fail. You always always always check to make sure everyone is out. Codes do not work after closing I understand for getting in but getting out they should. We have unavoidable circumstances that made us a little late to get out. This is a law suit if someone died or needed fast medical attention.

But more than that, he also showed,, an extreme amount of patience, when dealing with me , Regarding my storage issues .. I have been dealing with my husband's death, my son, jumping off the Monroe street bridge, they couldn't save him. Then my sister getting covid , 2 weeks later, she passed. All while I am caring for my mom, who has alzheimers. . , , My bank account being hacked , taking my whole S.S. D. Check!, and then, lastly, a guy ran his red light on division and indiana, going bout 50mph, on 4/24/22, hitting me, in my olds. Bravada suv, flipping it over, .. took 10 trauma firefighters to cut off the back, and whole top off my SUV, just to get me and my sister, out!! We sustained serious injuries. Thomas, showed patience and kindness, when dealing with me, in regards to my storage issues He was very accommodating, when I was trying to catch up my payments... Thomas, manager of U haul storage , gets a 10 star rating, from me. ( I'd give him an emmy, if possible!😉 ). I want to thank Uhaul, for helping me to resolve this matter! A huge burden lifted!! Ginger Kanally | Overall ExperienceI was overcharged for the unit, online it was $94, when I received the map the price was advertised as $84…when moving in, the man living out of his unit was playing his saxophone and it was uncomfortable and quite annoying that he felt he could evade my ear space. I had gone to the uhaul main office on n. Division and waited a very long time for assistance with both these matters, which I never got so I left. The lack of lighting inside the unit finalized my decision that this unit is overpriced and unnecessary stress. The rude impatience of other renters also added to the stress of leaving a terrible situation and moving my belongings into a storage, this location just wasn’t a good decision or a good fit for me. The on-site lady was very friendly and helpful.

donna brooks | First ImpressionsI was really discouraged about your national special to “get a free month of storage with any truck rental”, it was even plastered on the truck I rented, but when I asked about it, I was told it only applied to one way rentals. Regardless, the storage facility was extremely nice and easy to access, and the truck rental went off without a hitch. Your self-service tools are groundbreaking, and it definitely makes me want to use you again.
James HicksTruck wasn't setup for 24/7, had to go to other uhaul location then back to this location. Phone app wasn't working, employee had to process. Finally get to house and word lock was on bay door, wasn't given a call and had to call uhaul store to figure out code. Wasn't sure. Wasted a lot time time waiting on usual.
Tina KelleyYour moisture control issues and your pest control issues have damaged many of my furniture items and several of my landscaping equipment items. On top of that me living states away I requested for my payment date to be a specific date on several different occasions and was entirely ignored by the management and the team. I paid almost $4,000 for one year of storage and you let all of my stuff get water damage and moisture damage and mouse poop all over it. I'm very disappointed and will never use U-Haul storage again.

Joei PreslerI was informed that the lock and key would be waiting in the unit. I was out of state, and I hired a driver to drop off my items there. When he arrived, there was no lock and key in the unit. I called the number provided, and the person I spoke to treated this like it wasn't an issue, and I should've known. My driver had to drive to a different location to get the lock and key, which added to the milage and time I had to pay him for. In the when I'm done with this transaction, I don't plan to use your service again.

I called the posted after hours number for the GM and left a voicemail, and received no response. I sent an email to the GM stating the inability to access a unit I had already paid for & to have no after hours assistance was unacceptable. My husband went to the main location for a gate key to be told by the GM. “Oh, that facility hasn’t been 24/7 for a couple of years. Your access code will work now because the facility is open & there is a person on site.” So, what about the vehicle that entered while we were trying to reach you for help? “Oh, some renters were grandfathered in & still have 24/7 access.” We tried to call the after hours number for help. “Oh, that’s my work number & we closed at 5 pm.” I have yet to receive a response to my voicemail nor my email. Customer service received, non existent. This man did not care that we had specifically booked this facility for access we did not get and blamed the website for having wrong information, for two years? He took no responsibility for the incorrect information, nor our inconvenience for not being able to access the facility. Never even apologized. Worst self storage experience to date.

What I mean is you have me as. Apt 45 Apt / STR 92 at the end of my address. Which explains a lot on how your staff may be over worked. Rushing though trying to help so many customers. We got locked in our storage and if it wasn’t for someone else that was in there and gave us his code we’d still be there! When we arrived at the drop off at 5 pm they were closed. We had to wait 20 minutes to get an assistant to help us get the truck turned in..( she was very helpful and patient with us as we were fried...so heads up for your people when you finally get a hold of them). and this is after a long 7 hour drive and then unloading a 26 ft truck! You are pretty much the only place in town... and I hear you advertising for more help... you need it... especially with so many people on the move these days... I hope you work on the help needed after they’ve rented your equipment. It makes the whole experience much better and makes us want to recommend you to others. We thank you for the help that you were for us in a very stressful time for us.

The website is unresponsive on my phone; I had to click buttons multiple times, back out and try again, and resubmit information multiple times. Because of the website jank, I was not able to return the keys to the lockbox during the return process because the app decided to skip that page, so I had to contact the local office's offsite workers (none on-site because of covid) to return the keys properly. Aside from the app needing to be rebuilt my experience was great; being able to just show up and get into an F150 (first time driving a larger truck) was a great time, all of the processes such as picking up/dropping off would be a breeze if the app was optimized. I would still use the service again regardless of my issues.

Thinking we were on the 1st floor for self-storage, and was getting charged for it, we were put on the 2nd floor without any conversation. When making the reservation online there was “one unit left.” When trying to talk with a staff member in customer service, they said that the reservation is for that “size” of the unit not the location, which is, frankly, confusing and less than desirable. This should be stated plainly when making a reservation online, easy to read. Otherwise, my spouse said the facility was good and the carts and elevator were helpful.

At least I believe it has covered it, as I haven't heard anything further about the damage.

When I finally reached someone at the store I was told my bill was $194.24 with a $44.43 credit. Quite a difference from the $79.00 I was quoted. As of today 11/13, I have been charged $194.24 with a $44.43 credit and another charge of $ 47.72. This seems extremely disorganized, unfair and very unprofessional. I will certainly question my use of UHaul, or recommending them to others in the future.

The drop box opening was too small to fit the key fob. I waited in the cold outside on hold with uhaul for 20 minutes, I finally hung up. I specifically choose this location and return time of 7 pm because the location, closes at 7pm (according to the uhaul website). But the office was closed and had a sign that said it closed at 5pm. It also had a sign in the window saying they did not accept cash, which I’d like to mention is against the law. Cash is legal tender and must be accepted. I will never use this location again.

It took uhaul over 2 hrs to have the tire replaced, then they told us to go to les schwab and have the lug nuts tightened as they didn't have the tool. We went into overtime with our movers and had to reschedule the movers on the other end of our move.

Uhaul found me a random cell phone tied to the business and when I called he said they have been out of business for over a year. Kyle JamesI drove that truck 12 miles and put 2 gallons of gas in it before I took it back. Then I was charged for 4 gallons. There's no way I used 6 gallons to drive 12 miles. I was also charged for a dolly but the dolly wasn't put in the truck like I was told it would be. This isn't my first experience with uhaul but so far it has been the worst. I called the store to make sure my truck was returned fully and I asked to be reimbursed for the dolly rental and was told that they would try their hardest to get it done by the same person that dropped the ball on everything to begin with so I'm not confident.
Nicholas ContabileI had a horrible experience at this UHAUL location. The truck was not ready to go when I arrived and had to wait one hour before I could leave the facility. The truck was stuck in ice at the far back side of the storage facility lot. The facility employee left to get the truck initially and never came back with my rental. The second employee went looking for him, at my request, and told me the truck was stuck in ice and would not move. Long story short, another customer and myself ended up going to find the truck and physically had to push the truck out. By now, I am one hour late and I had 15 people waiting to help me load the 26' moving truck. No, I would not recommend this location to anyone. No apology was given or compensation for my time lost when I brought back the truck.
dennis senterYou have a barely legal boy in charge and two girls who did nothin but stare at their phones the entire hour n change i unloaded. Mountains of snow in storage area and dangerous to drive in. Storage doors iced shut. Theres no way to get out of the middle lane in the storage other than backing up 2blocks, around 180° of corners and then another two blocks or asking the clueless and unhelpful desk boy to unlovk the middle gate. "Im not sure if it unlocks, ill look for a key" 30 min later there still no key and he tells me it cant be done. I ask him if he asked his manager where the key is. 40 sec later he has it in his hand. 10 min later he finally unlocks the gate. Go ask him for a broom to sweep out the truck. "Idk ill go se if we have one" ignores the broom behind him and disappeared for 5 min to find another. Go to turn in my key and he demands $50 to drop it off despite me being told by my original drop off location to return my truck to the place i got storage at. He argues with. Me until i call the original drop off location and have him speak to a worker there who obviouslt tells the boy to stop giving me hell and jus help me out. He argues with that man an aditional 10 min and then makes up an excuse as to why he was being as unhelpful as possible. I littetally left in awe of his rudeness and lack of customer Care

James Myers | Overall ExperienceSo I had got online and did the reservation and it sent me a confirmation email that I got on to Sunday morning prior to picking up a van. According to the email if I completed the process that would mean I didn't have to go inside I could just get the keys and leave that's not how it went down I did not get a code sent to me I had to go inside and had to spend another 15 minutes going back over all the information that I had done the night before and that next days a little bit of information because none of it was in the system. I have used this U-Haul service and store in the past I've had new experiences with their services in general this seems to be a flaw with the computer system not with their personal service and the cashier at the time told me I was not the only person that weekend that it had that same issue that had to repeat all the information over again because they also did not get the full confirmation from online so I don't know if there's something wrong with the website but it's very frustrating to take time out of your day to go online fill everything out and then have to go into the store and repeat the same thing over again it made me late to do my pickup which held up other people and if I would have just shown up earlier so that I could have gotten everything taken care of. Then the band didn't run right it didn't want to accelerate while I was driving so every time I had to stop it took way more time for it to get up to the speed I needed to to not be holding up traffic and also the interior dome light stayed on no matter what I tried which included turning on and off all of the light switches and opening and closing all the doors the light was on for my whole trip and we'll still on when I returned it it didn't matter if the keys were in it or not and to me this is all stuff that should be left over before the vehicle is rented out so they know if there's an issue.

We had it back 45 minutes late but really really felt rushed.

todd potterI was told over the phone when I made my reservations that I could pay cash to rent a truck. Upon arrival, I was informed differently. The manager lady was very rude and obnoxious. After a few minutes of telling her that I had been told multiple times that I can use cash, she gave in. We took the truck and left. Come to find out we could not open the lock on the back of the truck. When I returned the truck and told her I could not use it because of the lock she refused a refund. I was willing to pay the mileage and of course the gas that I paid since we drove that far, but feel like I should have not had to pay the rental fee because I couldn't use it. I could tell the sales guy was understanding, but she sat behind a semi closed door and barked orders at him. I could see his frustration and I felt bad. Even when he mentioned replacing the lock on the back of the truck because it was so difficult, she yelled at him. He offered me a lock for my storage unit and a refund for the appliance dolly that I couldn't use. But the feeling I got from her behind the door is that she was still unhappy with that. And it was only given because he had already made the gesture. So I had paid $60 to drive a truck less than 10 miles round-trip. I do not recommend this location to anyone in the future. I have yet to see my storage unit so I'm hoping that that venture is better than the first.
