Store was fine, it was U-Haul policy on one way rentals, I needed a trailer to drop off in Bakersfield, Ca. The local U-Haul store wouldn't let me take their trailer and drop it off. I would have had to gone to Shingle Springs, Ca. Over a 100 round trip in the opposite direction. So I had to drive back with a empty trailer to drop off at the same storeRobert N.

Denied current promotion (1 month free with truck rental). Trouble with the elevator in the beginning (Staff eventually corrected it). Staff rarely in the store (had to hunt them down or wait unreasonably long for someone to show up). Alonso went above and beyond to help me. Not just me, but another customer who came in after hours with an online reservation. Alonso helped the guy find his trailer and get hooked up. Then he offered to go buy me a gas can and get gas for me because I'd run out of gas in the parking lot. I had to insist he go home and allow AAA to come help me. I reserved a Uhaul storage unit to be ready for me upon arrival and drop-off. Once I arrived, the staff informed me that my unit was not available. I am under the impression that the staff knew that the unit was not available prior to my arrival, however I did not receive notification or a phone call. The staff said that it is a Uhaul system error that I am allowed to reserve although something may not be available. When calling customer service to complain, I was informed that it is the store's responsibility to reach out to the customer. I am very unhappy with Uhaul that my unit was not available, considering that I drove half way down the west coast, not across town. Either UHaul should not accept reservations if a unit is not available, or the location should be proactive in reaching out prior to customer arrival.FRANK L.

I may do a lot of reviews but the only reason I do so many is because of how happy I am to make this you hall my uhaul my u-haul They have an awesome team of fully trained guys and girls that really make coming to this u-haul a pleasure. They are courteous they are quick the other day I was in there and there was a gentleman named Jake And he was working 3 computers at the same time it was absolutely fantastic he was literally doing everything he could to make that very long line take no time at all! I received the U-Haul rental half empty and was expected to refill the entire truck when I only used it to drive 5 miles from my home to the rental facility. I will never come to this Location again, the staff was very unhelpful and did not seem to care that they gave me a truck that was half empty. I showed them receipts and photos with timestamps and they said there was nothing they could do to help me and still charge me on top of that my reservation was not ready until two hours after it was supposed to be. This was my very first experience with this facility and my last I should have trusted the yelp reviews, never again.MONIEA C.

The trailer had a small hole in the floor. Even though the trailer was acceptable to use, the hole could possibly be an issue or present a problem with future customers. 1. They try to lie about the fuel gauge said it had a half on the gauge when it only had a 1/4 of a tank. 2. They closed the doors at 6:50 pm. 3. The U-haul was very very dirty on the inside as well as the outside of the truck. Myself, I would not allow someone to walk all over me because I am the customer and when there not on there ball game on a Monday morning then someone has to go. (the black employee and the girl that waited on me just could care less if I was legal to drive as my license is currently suspended out of, State of Colorado, Colorado Springs so the way I see it is that your employee who checked me out on this Monday 7, 2021 gave a 20' U-haul to a un license driver charged for the daliy rate plus insurance and let me drive away with no worries.Bert G.

I did the online check in to make it simpler. When I let the worker know I needed one of the trucks locked behind the gate he just said â€œgo insideâ€ I let him know I did the online check in and he just replied â€œyeah, go insideâ€ I went inside to the desk where the girl was laying on the counter. I let her know I did the online check in and she still had to walk me through it. When there was an issue she said she couldn't help and that I have to call. I asked if it would be easier if I had come in and she just replied it's that same thing. After 30 min of trying to figure this out with no help I was able to get the key. The online check in was pointless and with no help from the workers available it actually the process even more complicated and drawn out. I probably won't bother to rent a uhaul again or at least not from this location.John R.

Then we asked about the 24/7 return There was a return sign said you could return 24/7. The same person told us that they didn't do that. They why have a sign. The rental was a nightmare. Still waiting for a refund. The truck leaked brake fluid all over the floor from the brake pedal and as I was exiting the freeway the brakes completely went out on the off ramp. It's a miracle there wasn't a terrible accident. It had to be towed away because there was ZERO brake fluid left and the brake booster was broken. HORRIBLE customer service from the manager at Lodi UHaul did not even return my call.Melissa B.

I rented a truck along with 12 blankets and an appliance dolly. When I arrived at the destination to pick up household items and opened the back of the truck, there were no blankets or dolly. The U-Haul person had neglected to put them in the truck. I was upset with U-Haul, and with myself for assuming they had been loaded. I should have checked rather than assume. Didn't even get an apology from U-Haul staff when I went back the next day to pick up the blankets and dolly, nor when I brought the truck back and settled the bill.Bruce H.
