I did the on-line check-in - Two items that were not clear or that I missed. It did not prompt me to look at the gas gauge and to return the truck with the same amount of. gas. I thought the 89 cent per mile included gas. Second, I had request additional pads, I didn't see that I had to go inside to get the pads (doesn't this defeat the on-line check-in?). I dropped off the unit after hours and had difficulty checking out. The site wouldn't allow me to continue to log out. I did a live chat and the person said it was more than three minutes before I responded to one of the questions and ended the chat. Poor national customer service. 1 week before my move I reserved a uhaul online using my credit card. In the reservation I specifically asked for a utility dollie. When I arrived on the day of my rental the employee told me there wasn't any dollies on our truck at all, and they were out of utility dollies. I really wish someone alerted me BEFORE I got there so I could of made other arrangements to find a utility dollie. She did offer to get us a standard dollie from another truck, which we accepted. Truck & ramp worked perfectly fine for the move, however we didn't drive that far. When it was time for an after hours drop off there is a CR code to scan, which sounded simpleâ€¦ but the return option wasn't working on the website. I sat in my car so long trying to get the return to work in every way possible, that now I am passed my scheduled drop off time. So now I have to call to ensure I am not charged a fee for not returning it on time. The hold time is 10-15 minutes but they do call back. AN HOUR and a half later they call me back. The person was very helpful & took care of my return for me,l quickly, but didn't seem surprised that the online return option wasn't working.Eli B.

I spoke to the Manager and no help with my problem and the wrong change, she told me that was my mistake because I don't ask the right questions?? Well the trailer size we booked originally wasn't available when we arrived. When we got there and completed all the paperwork and were given the rate and were ready to drive if with it is when the guy realized they didn't have the size we needed. He then explained he'd have to give me a bigger trailer which was way more space than what we needed it for and he didn't even attempt to honor the rate we had originally been given since it was a system issue on their end. It was only a $10/$15 difference but you'd think that in a situation like that they would say we'll just keep the rate and give you the bigger one. That was an unfortunate opportunity where they could've made it right for the customer. Other than that he was very nice and helpful. Return was super easy I was in and out.Vanessa H.

Don't return the vehicle after hours. Every time I return the vehicle. The app doesn't work and the picture doesn't load. And then when I call customer service to ask them to help me. They cut me off and we're annoyed they actually have to help me go through it. I recommend making sure your photo upload function during the vehicle process is tested for all phones. It doesn't work with my Google pixel 5.Eric Z.

My problem was with your mobile pick up process. The delay in approval seemed ridiculous as I stood outside in the cold. Why can't that process be conducted at the time of reservation? Then it seems pointless to use the mobile option when you still have to go inside to an understaffed location to get the key - and wait for someone to pay attention to you. Drop off was fine - because a staff member told me he'd handle it and I didn't need to worry about the mobile process.Brian J.

There was an issue with the steering wheel being crooked when going straight down the road and when taking a left turn the tires squeal. I took a picture where there was not a sticker of damage but the driver side front rim looks to have damage and the vehicle should be serviced before re-rented. I nearly brought it back shortly after rental for this reason above but was only going locally for a short distanceJames M.

Online reservation system was not convenient and took more time than counter service. We spent a lot of time searching for a vehicle in the parking lot that wasn't there. Once we selected that we couldn't find vehicle the application presented another vehicle that was there. The counter person, who may have been the supervisor or manager said it would have been quicker at the counter.David F.

Uhaul customercare told one thing and the store manager says another. I have an upcoming one way truck reservation and when I booked it it gave one month rental but then customer care told us we could move in today and the website also told when I entered the uhaul reservation number that my first pay will be on September 26. Signage for where to go and what to do is very poor. I waited for 20 minutes with just one person in front of me. I was sold a lock for the storage unit. Then I found a complimentary lock in the unit. I asked the office for a refund of the one I purchased. I rented a storage and the associate was adamant in charging me for the lock. I was confused as to why because I thought it came with it. When she carried me to the storage there was a padlock provided in the empty unit but unfortunately for me the associate quickly grabbed it. I asked her if that was left for me and he lame excuse was that the previous renters probably left it. Really? An unused and unopened padlock. Lucky for her I was crammed on time and had to move my stuff into the unit and be out of town by the end of the day so I did not have time for the small details. I will be coming back for my refund as I confirmed with another uhaul facility that I should have never been charged. On the bag it says COMPLIMENTARY.
