Pricing Customer service The uncertainty of when/where equipment is available (Turlock/Coulterville/Tracy/Manteca). This was a cross country move for me and my family, and extremely stressful, Uhaul was not very helpful in alleviating more stress than necessary. I was told to return my rental with a FULL tank. So I went to the gas station and paid $25 for gasoline, filled to the top, completely FULL. As I was instructed. I am Autistic, so I took that VERY LITERALLY. Especially since I was being ORDERED TO DO SO. And I could be PENALIZED if I did not. When I came back, they calculated I drove 17mi. 4-5 gallons of gas, for 17 Miles???? And then I was told AFTER, that I would not be reimbursed. So you guys basically just stole my money, my time, and my future well being. I spent $85 to borrow a vehicle for 1.5~hrs. After being advertised for $19.95/day + Milage. All 17 Miles... It was a terrible experience. I rented a 9' cargo can and to my surprise and contrary to information mentioned on website, the equipment did not have a full fuel level or even a simple charging point. I had to drive an entire distance and throw off my schedule to get gas. And then ended up leaving 6 gallons more gas than what they gave me, all to be compensated with nothing at all. The representatives are not at all supportive and their system is crap. My $89 per day charge showed up as $99 and they mentioned they cannot do anything about it as their manager was not available for the day. That's the worst excuse I have ever heard. It ended up taking one full hour of mine just for return and still my contract was put on hold.Vikas P.

I am completely disappointed as they did not put dolly as I had added to my reservation . And also took a while to get through the phone to get the track as the app was not working. This caused me big issues with moving and I would have to pay again to move my appliances as I had no dolly . No idea what people go through when moving . It's very stressful and I would say , if you like customers to enjoy the rental they have to get what they ask for . This caused big mess and lots more money to spend and more time to waste which I don't have as I have to be moved out in two days and location is far . This is the second time I reserve a trailer from this location, and for the second time they give my reservation to someone else. Last time all they said â€œI'm sorry I don't know what to tell you.â€ This time they said, â€œwell the system double-booked the trailer.â€ They told me I could only take the trailer for 24 hrs (I needed it for 3 days) because the other person was going to pick it up. I would assume they would cancel the other person since I was first and since I was there but they refused to.Alfonso H.

I missed my 9am pickup time & they cancelled my truck. I called to rebook a truck. A lady on the phone rebooked the truck for me. When I came to pick it up I was told they were out of trucks. I asked for the $50 guarantee & they said no because I wasn't there at 9am to get it. The staff was also unprofessional. Someone was eating at the counter and the girl helping me was talking to me, her manager on the phone and the other two employees. When I returned the van I rented instead I didn't feel the staff was friendly. They come accross as a bunch of friends working together not professional and friendly Uhaul employees. Some of the vehicles are older it seems, they are clean but worn out. The fuel gauge does not immediately read when refueling gas, it reads several minutes later. So when refueling I put more gas than required. Not happy about that with these fuel prices. The lady pointed out about the gallons I needed to put in after I returned the truck. They should have explained this prior to rental, because nobody reads the papers word for word. Not every one rents all the time so we don't know what every thing on the paper means. Seems like when you spend almost $1000 on a truck and trailer rental the ball hitch should be included. Now I own an almost pristine ball hitch which likely will never be used again. That said, the equipment worked flawlessly. The pickup was first rate and the trailer easy and safe to use.Richard B.

From day 1, nothing but issues.. Day 1, didn't show or tell me about card access, day 1 went to locked unit and had to go back to office and then wait 15 minutes for someone to unlock it. Set up autopay (I thought) but got charged $20 for paying late so I logged in and set up autopay but was charged AGAIN this month for paying late so I called and wasn't very happy or nice when telling them to set up autopay for me since nothing I did was fixing it.. After renting a U-Haul van, I asked the young lady inside if any small 5x5 storage units were available for rent. She indicated that there were not, and took my contact information to be put onto a waiting list. A day or two later, I went to the uhaul.com website on a whim and checked for 5x5 availability, and it seemed there were 5x5 units available the whole time, so I went ahead and rented one online. After hours access works fine, but there really should be a note posted adjacent to the door stating that, after the access code is entered, the renter has to pull *hard* to open the door. Loads of issues mix up and very poor customer service. A barrage overkill in late notices. It is illegal to send a late notice 24 hrs after a late notice. I have late notices waking me up 1am on email. Plus in the mail. Plus daughter gets pre lien notices telling all of my business after 5hings were resolved. I am taking this up with higher ranks.
