They did take care of the issue but did make several excuses as to why my reservation was not correct. I originally reserved for Manteca but my reservation was changed to Stockton which is 25 minutes away. They notes said that someone tried to call and it rang and then went to a busy signal. No one called me. At the very least they should have tried again.

Understaffed..., I was there at 3 pm , there was only one customer service agent on duty. The individual was busy with check in/out's and fielding customers questions great m the floor. I found this to be unacceptable ...my wait in line was 20 minutes. Regarding condition of truck upon receipt, the seat adjustment bar was misaligned and very very difficult to adjust!! Thought that product floor lacked attendance attendee to assist with customers questions. Under staffed

My suggestion is to go through the trucks when the opportunity arises. People say they clean the cars and thru really don't. I know its hard with covid but it should be looked Into.

On busy weekends have the people stay at the counter and not walk around outside to help people. Have workers stay outside to help customers so the counter people can get the customers out faster.

Staff was very helpful. It was then booking that was not ok. Reserved a trailer. Received confirmation and when I called to make sure trailer was ready the staff in Modesto on Kansas said there was no trailer there. I had to drive to Manteca to get one. Attempted to try to return to Modesto and was told no. I had to drive back to Manteca to return. Never again

Keep a closer eye on the Gas Gauge. They said it had a full tank of gas and I drove 15 miles on the rental truck for two hrs. Before returning the truck I gassed it up and it took three gallons! I'm sure I didn't waste three gallons for 15 miles of usage!

After standing 20mn outside the door. The Uhual waited till opening time to inform us that we are at the wrong door. Even though I had spoke with them about my rental during that 20mn waiting for the store to open. I went from first in line to almost last as they let in other customers first at the other entrance. Complete lack of common sense and awareness from the Uhual staff.

And I think U-Haul is a great company because I've used it many times in my life here and in Utah. The company culture and service seems to be top-notch at every location that I've ever use so far. During my check in process one of the other employees seemed to have an attitude with a customer, so check on employees customer service skills that way it makes customers moving experience more pleasant and gives U Haul a great place for people to come back.

I will NEVER use U-Haul ever again. I've received poor service in the past from other businesses but there was nothing quite like this experience. First please know that this is the second time I've tried U-Haul and both experiences were equally as terrible. So - I live very rurally in the mountains and had to get a U-Haul that was roughly 3 hours away from me. I was guaranteed the booking and got my email confirmation. I had booked about 3 days before my anticipated pickup date. On the pickup date, I sent my husband down the mountain only to discover that they not only didn't have my truck for the full three days I'd booked for, they also didn't even have that truck available. I received no phone call to inform me of this. I called the original location that I was going to pick up at and the woman told me there was nothing she could do and that I'd have to call another U-Haul location. She wouldn't even forward me to a different one, said I had to look it up. I was furious at this point. You don't leave someone with no options after having booked with you, received a confirmation and had driven 3 hours expecting to use your services.. That's grossly unprofessional. The woman I spoke to at the Kansas Ave location was absolutely disgusting. Then, I was forwarded to another location who essentially told me the same thing. Remember that this whole time, my husband is at the location and we're trying to pick up the truck. Finally I get sent to the main headquarters in Sacramento where I speak to Kira. She was extremely kind and helpful but still - the only truck available for the full 3 days was not the same size and would add about 1 hr of driving roundtrip to get to, not to mention more mileage. Desperately, I take it and send my husband down to pick it up. Truck was fine, we moved, whatever. When we returned the truck, we filled it up before we dropped it off because it was full when we received it. They said that it was not full, despite us having just topped it off. I let the man at the Manteca location know that I wanted to be comped the mileage from the Modesto location where I had originally planned to go and the Manteca location I was forced to go. He let me know that he'd place the contract on hold and that I would be contacted on Monday by his manager to discuss it (despite his name tag saying that he was the owner...) When I looked at my account, they charged the full amount today without contacting me first. If I don't get ahold of that manager, I'm contacting my bank and disputing the transaction completely. Seriously, I will never in my life use U-Haul again and I will never recommend them to anyone. Awful, awful company, terrible structure, poor management and shitty customer service reps. I do not recommend.

After I completed the reservation online and completed the confirmation to pick up the trailer to the point of photos of my drivers license to "save half the time" I was forced to still go through the entire process after waiting four people without reservations be processed ahead of me. The manager was the only person with knowledge and professional response.

The worker with puffy black hair screamed at me when I walked in if no mask no service. I was there the day before for over an hour and your system was down and could not take payments so I had to reschedule for the next day. Which was a hassle already since I needed to return a stage and they charged me for another day! Then I go in following day to get yelled at while this gentleman had his mask on and was behind a plastic partition. He then touched a mask with his BARE hands and said I was required to wear it or no service. I informed him I have a medical condition and he said he doesn't care and embarrassed me in front of other people who were in line. When it was time to be helped the gentleman who was working the desk had his mask on his chin?! This was a nightmare from the day before and it got worse! I will never use this location.

Ask you CSR not to yell out customers phone number so everyone can here it! Customer should ask them to explain Bill to make sure they are not being charged more than what they used. Person who checked my truck back in said I used the dolly in the truck( I did not use it) I went out to see that the clip was there and it was gone, had to ask for a refund and the lady was upset that I made a big deal about , how many people do they do this too,more than one is a big deal.

It took a half hour to process a couple people in front of me, and a half hour to check me in. I had a reservation online, I should have been able to show ID and be on my way. I shouldn't have to be there for 1+ hours just to get started. It took 15+ min for someone processed before me (even though I came in before them). All that person wanted was to order a hitch. He even had the part number. They had to process the order twice... It should not have taken so long.

1st: sites for a specific piece of equip, in this case a larger, open trailer showed as avail at one place. I set it up and then you changed it to another site, 20 MILES OUT OF MY WAY! WTF? so I have to go that far twice! 2nd: lady at counter says I didn't rent one with a ramp, I did and told her so, that was the only reason I got the bigger one so I could roll stuff up it. She was EXTREMELY rude and basically told me a I was lying. 3rd: Tried telling me I had to return it at 0900 when my original time was 1200 noon. I told her NO. 4th: She got the paper work wrong and "rented" me a smaller trailer, after all that discussion! I had my print out showing my reservation for the larger trailer with ramp. 5th: the 2 outside helping with hook up and unhooking on return were very friendly, helpful, courteous. Thank you to them. They are the reason I gave you an average and not lower.

You are on the right track. You have hired new personnel. Unfortunately, four new people were scheduled on a busy Sunday morning, making the lines move slowly. There was only one trainer to assist the four new people. Two trainers/experienced people would have been better.

Streamline the secondary contact information step. If I hadn't had to deal with that part, my rental pickup process would have gone much quicker. I would suggest adding the secondary contact info into what I can put into my account online so that it is already there and ready, like my driver license picture was.

This location was 15 plus miles out of my way. I reserved a truck close to me & confirmed the reservation. The next morning my reservation is moved twice because no trucks available near me? Very frustrating & rude desk girl at Kansas Ave location. Where's my credit coming to me?

Truck was poorly maintained. Went into limp mode within 5 miles after departure. Several check engine lights for throttle position sensor, ABS. Gauges quit working. Excessive oil usage.

I had issues uploading my license ( employee very helpful) however I rented a dolly and furniture mover that wasn't in the truck and I wasn't told I had to pick them up. And of course when dropping off the truck I forgot to mention it the person who checked me out.

Second time, I reserved a truck and my reservation was moved far out of my comfort zone. This was 28 extra miles round trip...which I had to pay for, and it was beyond the travel area, instead of between the two cities. Second time.

After renting a U-Haul van, I asked the young lady inside if any small 5x5 storage units were available for rent. She indicated that there were not, and took my contact information to be put onto a waiting list. A day or two later, I went to the uhaul.com website on a whim and checked for 5x5 availability, and it seemed there were 5x5 units available the whole time, so I went ahead and rented one online. After hours access works fine, but there really should be a note posted adjacent to the door stating that, after the access code is entered, the renter has to pull *hard* to open the door. Other than that, getting in/out is very easy.

Loads of issues mix up and very poor customer service. A barrage overkill in late notices. It is illegal to send a late notice 24 hrs after a late notice. I have late notices waking me up 1am on email. Plus in the mail. Plus daughter gets pre lien notices telling all of my business after 5hings were resolved. I am taking this up with higher ranks. Terrible worst storage experience. U haul is usually awesome. Ivdeel harrassed which is illegal.
