The assistant manager was wonderful. a lot of trucks came in at once and he remained calm and gave each one of use very professional and quick service. This is why I only use Uhaul.

Have the employee taking phone reservations listen to what the customer is looking for. I told the employee on the phone I would need a pick-up truck for 24 hours (5:00 pm - 5:00 pm and when we rented the truck a different employee (in the store) said I had to have it back by 10:00 am in the morning. I told her about the previous conversation and she said they would deal with it in the morning. I thanked her very much. We always use this location as it is near our home & very clean. The employees are very courteous.

staff was extremely helpful , we wound up in need of a truck earlier then our reservation and they were able to offer us a smaller available vehicle which handled the job perfectly . we finished earlier than expected and saved well over the original expected cost. can't thank the staff enough for their expertise and pleasant helpfulness.

This experience was horrible. I called and confirmed my pick up and was told my boxes would be ready. I then got multiple phone calls stating they would be ready. Then I got another call stating I need to change my pick up time because they were going to be too busy to help me. I tried to call the day of pick up and my call was forwarded to a call center that didn't have any correct information. When I showed up it took over an hour to get my boxes ready then I was told the truck I had would not pull 6000 lbs when it pulls 6500 lbs... I had to spend another $100 and rent a truck. The employee Guy... did what he could to help. After everything was done I got another call asking if I was done with my ubox... I dropped it off the day before... your company needs to work on their communication skills!!

THE ONE THING I HOPE IS RESOLVED IS: WE REFUSED THE $14 INSURANCE CHARGE WHEN WE COMPLETED OUR EXPRESS CHECK OUT ONLINE. HOWEVER, WHEN WE CHECKED OUT AT THE LOCATION, THE MAN IN CHARGE HAD INCLUDED THE CHARGE WITHOUT ASKING. HE SAID HE WOULD TAKE IT OFF BY THE TIME WE RETURNED. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. HE THEN SAID HE WOULD REMOVE THE CHARGE AFTER THE RECALCULATION OF OUR MILEAGE. I AM HOPING THIS IS DONE. IN THE ALTERNATIVE: I HOPE THIS NOTE IS READ AND SOMEONE CHECKS WITH US TO SEE IF THE CHARGE WAS INDEED REMOVED.

I picked up my cargo van at 9am and there were already 2 people ahead of me. There was only one worker there checking us in and bringing the trucks/vans around. Only 1 suggestion is to have maybe 2 workers checking in people. Otherwise, I was happy.

Vehicle was dirty and had a ton of damages. I have pictures of the vehicles damages from before hand. The interior lights did not work. I cleaned the vehicle the best I could to avoid cleaning fees.

The experience turned out very good because I ended up deciding to cancel my Uhaul rental after getting everything paid for because I realized that renting it didn't end up making sense. I was worried I may still have to pay for a day or at least a fee but no, the representative canceled it no questions asked.

My reservation was originally made at a closer location, and switched automatically to a further location. This was said to be done based on supply. But it added to milage and cost, so I am suspect that there might be other motivations as well. The employees that work the counters are always helpful and quick.

Include the address and/or a map on the email confirmation page. When I booked the reservation, I failed to write down the address. Then when I started to drive there, I pulled up the email confirmation on my phone to get the address, but neither the address or phone number was listed.

My problems are with the registration process. I did an online reservation and got a confirmation and then waited all day with no call to let me know where to pick up a truck. When the time came for when I needed the truck, I went to my "preferred location" and was given the "we have nothing for you, why are you here" speech. They did get on the phone and helped with a reservation but I then had to drive an extra 20 minutes and 10 more miles out of the way to get a truck at a new location (after a little frustration because they couldn't find me in the system nor had a truck initially but they did get a timely return to help me). So this added over 4 hours to my day because of the hassle of not having the truck where the online system said it was available and no call for confirmation. Very poor customer service ... again. I've rented a truck for many years and the last 3 years has been very poor when it comes to making the reservation, finding a location to actually get a truck, and then hassles last year in trying to return a truck. I've definitely written off U-Haul after this latest experience.

Customer service over the phone is terrible. You get transferred 5-6 times every call, no one knows where your stuff is, they are rude and delivery/pick-up was late every single time. The only silver lining is your drivers who are all very friendly.

Lock to the back was cut. Truck was old and alignment was pulling to the left. Older model of the E-350 with over 130k miles on it. I was scared driving it. Dropping off at a different location charged an extra $288. Complete ripoff. Will not use u-haul again.

Check the mileage before renting a truck out as not to cost the next customer conflict for being accused of driving miles that were never driven. Also, uphold the rules and make sure that the equipment guarantee is given when needed.

Their computer systems were down so it took a bit longer than I hoped. It seems most uhaul stores have computer issues. My biggest concern was the fact I could have saved myself nearly $20 on the gas credit. The gal didn't explain the gas credit at all. Next time I'll be prepared.

Rented appliance dolly online. Upon picking up the truck our cashier was rude, did not perform as all through of truck and sent us on our way. We got home and found no dolly in our truck. Called location and was instantly routed to a call center instead where the person who took my call was not helpful and was also rude. Had to go all the way back to location to get the missing dolly. It was refunded. Cashier who originally helped us was rude again. Manager was helpful. Upon returning truck next morning location was closed so had to do an "after-hours" drop off. Will not likely visit this location again.

I received very prompt and helpful customer service from the gentlemen at this location. What made me give an average rating was purely because the person I scheduled this truck rental from neglected to notate on my reservation that I would be doing a self pickup before store hours, so I lost valuable time in the morning, and had to delay my move until the store opened at 9am.

The female attendant was very friendly and washed the windows and windshield (said it wasn't clean enough to drive safely). She did not, however, note the large scratch along the driver side of the truck bed (did not mark it with an X sticker). I was not vigilant (and did not say anything) because I ASSumed that if she was that particular about the windows that it had already been noted. My mistake. The UHaul store on the other end questioned me about it but luckily took my word for it. (I guess they could tell by the age of the scrape, but still....)

Picked up the 25 foot truck with almost no gas. The girl said there was an 1/8th of a tank and that if I returned it with at least a quarter of a tank of gas, I'd get a $16 fuel credit. There wasn't even an 1/8th of a tank in the truck. Even though my trip was very short, when I put gas in on my return, it was very slightly below the quarter tank mark. The guy that checked me in refused to give me the credit and said I could drive the truck to a gas station and put more gas in to get the credit. It was after 4:00 on a Friday, and maneuvering the truck isn't easy, so I just left. I feel like the truck should have had more gas in it before I picked it up, and the sliver of space between the needle and the quarter mark should have been close enough considering how I picked it up. Needless to say, this was crap service.

I was told upon arrival iv i fueled up the truck, no i replied i am not familliar with the area. They told me where i could get fuel. Truck was at 1/8 of a tank. i put in 20 dollars at 2.99 a gallon. Your paper said it would take 6 gallons this totals 6.68 gallons more than enough. Upon returning i was told we are cutting lots and do not have time to walk the truck with you, leave us the key and we will take care of it. Later i received a e-mail with additional charges 9 dollars for fuel, why i fueled it to your guide lines highlighted in blue by you people. Also charged a cleaning fee. My wife and I both swept out your truck. I find it strange you don't have time to walk the truck so if you do "find" any defects or fees to charge i am not their to dispute your claim!! This is not how business should be done! I guess this would be a fool me once shame on you type situation. There will not be a fool me twice situation because do to this poor handling of customer service i will not be using you ever again. I will also reccommend any one i know to stay away from your company. I called customer service and all they had to say and repeat 3 times was what i was being charged for not the fact that you charged me fees without me being present. I will be disputing your charges through my bank to have the money returned to my account. I wish we could have solved this situation between your company and myself, but unfortunayely when it comes down to the word of your customer versus your lazy employees we take our employees side.

The furniture dolly i received had two broken wheels. The Hand-truck had flat spots on the wheels. To improve this, I would suggest that they test equipment prior to giving it to customers.

I booked my reservation at a different location, which was guaranteed. However, I was moved to a different location without being asked, which added several additional miles to my route and time to my moving day. I called and spoke with a very rude person on the phone when this happened who offered no solutions and refused to acknowledge that I selected a guaranteed location. When we picked up the uhaul, the employee there looked up my reservation and confirmed that it was indeed supposed to be guaranteed for the other location. The Mills Station staff and facility were great. The phone support and website reservation system need some work.

Very quick checkin and hookup. The Mills Station UHaul facility is very easy to access from Hiway 50 and Folsom Blvd. I have been using the UHaul center on Pyrite Ave in Gold River but I like the customer service at Mills Station more.

I picked up the truck and it did not register full so I put 33 miles on it and put in 10 gallons of gas it still did not register full and I was charged another 14 dollars for fuel . It was a rip off - the fist time I had this happen at I haul.

This location absolutely needs to have customer service staff present--had to wait fifteen minutes, in a completely deserted front room, at 9:10a on a Saturday to pick up: no U-Haul rep whatsoever on-hand. Needed to wait twenty minutes to return the vehicle--again, no rep on-hand at 4:40p on a Saturday. At the time of the return, there was also a couple waiting to pick up a vehicle--who had apparently been called from the same location within the past half-hour to indicate that their vehicle was ready. I learned the hard way that your locations sometimes forward their phone calls. (And I think the couple standing behind me had the same thing happen.) I went online, found my preferred location, called and made a reservation, and when I got there the next morning, was told I was at the wrong location. So the employees need to ALWAYS ask the customer or confirm with the customer, what location they are planning to go to for their pickup. This is a totally unacceptable and unnecessary thing to have happen to someone. There is often a lot of stress related to moving, and this was something I didn't need. My preferred location, offered me a different vehicle which I declined at first, then came back and accepted. Didn't want to/and really didn't have the time to drive across town to the other location. So while my rating for the location I worked with was positive, my rating for U-Haul reservations policy is an "F".

I rented online and received a voicemail telling me I couldn't pick up the size I requested from this location. The female I spoke to spoke very fast and was not easy to understand. It was frustrating that I had to go to a different location to pick up the truck I had ordered...the new location turned out to be less than a mile away. I felt that doing business with UHaul this time around was very cumbersome. I ordered online ahead of time to eliminate any hassles. I had to pick up on Wednesday evening instead of Thursday morning which was a bit inconvenient.

I would not recommend U-Haul to anybody. After driving to three different locations in three cities I finally had the truck I had reserved. 3.5 hours later I had the truck I had reserved but my help had other obligations so I only had help moving for a short period. I had to keep the truck an extra day and found myself moving everything by myself. Several promises of a refund and discount fell short after I received an invoice for 3x the amount I had planned and budgeted even though when checking out I had selected the option to dispute the charges.

The whole experience was a Nightmare to be blunt, I feel i was deceived by being told i could pick up the truck where i lived and then told at the VERY LAST moment i had to travel miles away the same day to get the truck. And i was told it was a certain length when it was not. This happened twice to me. Then i found out that the location just a block away from me NEVER HAS A TWENTY FOOT TRUCK AVAILABLE AFTER THE FACT! The person to help me did NOT and told me to take the bus or transit to go get my truck and would not help with having anybody deliver it to my location, RUDE. I have talked to other people and they said they had the same problems with UHAUL, I would have used another moving truck but it was too late in the game and i would have been locked out of my house if i did not get out so i had to call up a friend to bale me out of a stinking situation Uhaul had created and would NOT fix regardless and i would have sued them if i had to pay the consequences of a lock out. It was only because of my own expense and friend that got me on the road and moving out. They have it RIGED for them and not for the customer so they DONT have to do any work other than punch some computer buttons and make a pay check at your expense and frustration, Very POOR service and all for them not for you. Your have to eat it or else suffer the consequences of there lazy rigged system. It was a night mare to say the least and i had to go over the Donner Summett in the Winter this made no difference to them at all, tooo bad!! Then to top it off i was told that by paying with cash i would get my cash refund, guess what, NOPE no go on that either, and i needed it badly to pay for food etc and a flat tire on my car i towed. I had to wait for them to credit it to me only with an approval from my bank, go Figure that one too!! Yep a night mare of a move. Never again will i use them. THE END.

Picked truck up, drove to my destination and at that point realized there was a lock on the the loading deck door. had to wait over one hour, in the rain (outdoors), while I and my wife got soaking wet along with all the stuff we were supposed to load while we waited for roadside assistance. When we finally got back to the Uhaul store (drop-off) the representative there said the key to the lock was on the ignition key ring (how am I supposed to know that and why was it locked in the first place, and why wasn't I told that at pick-up?). When I told the representative what had happened he showed no remorse, and, so it seemed to me, he couldn't wait to get me out of there. All-in-all not a good experience. When I called the phone number on the rental agreement I was put through to the call center; I thought I was calling the local dealer. If my call had gone to the local dealer they could have told me the key was on the ignition key ring. Instead the call center hooked me up with roadside assistance. If the call had gone to the local dealer it would have saved me over an hour, wouldn't have gotten everything wet and you wouldn't have a bill to pay to roadside contractor. It would be nice to get some sort of compensation for this negligent situation.

I had to return the truck all the way back to where I picked it up, which added mileage, which made it cost more, in return made your company money... U-Haul prices are to high, you can not get your bill right, can never get the store when you call. I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone must of all U-Boxes.

Uhaul needs to provide an elevator for the upstairs storage units along with much better rates...they are way too expensive for the size of the storage. Also they need much better incintives...
