The Mills Station store was fine. However, not so the store at 11271 Sunrise Park Road, Rancho Cordova in CA, to which I was initially directed to pick a cargo trailer. I arrived their only to find it closed (at 10:00 am!) and their phone, (916) 248-5482, was "no longer in service". I had to contact U-Haul at the 800 number for another store that had the trailer I needed and then drive to that store. This was highly inconvenient and time consuming for me!!! I can't imagine why in the world U-Haul does business through this store at 11271 Sunrise Park Road, Rancho Cordova!!!.

Our rating doesn't pertain to just this location but the overall service we received during this experience. We've used UHaul several times but have never experienced the problems we did this time. I made the reservation on 10/4 and confirmation received the same day for the Cameron Park location for a 6x12 enclosed trailer. I received text confirmation on 10/11/17 and called and received verbal confirmation from the Cameron Park location. Then on 10/13/17, day of pick up, we received a text to pick trailer up at Wills Rd, Roseville. I called Cameron Park (spoke w/Dameon) and he wasn't aware of the change but they also said we had been bumped at their location. They had no trailers of this size available. He tried to help out and called dispatch. So I called the Wills Rd, Roseville location and confirmed the trailer but when my husband Tony (driver) tried to pick it up they said that they didn't have it even though they had 2 on site they said they were reserved for the next day and couldn't give one of them to us. Funny, we had reserved one to. They then sent us to the Cirby Way, Roseville location but they didn't have one. Dispatched never called me so I had to called them. They said they could send me to Auburn but we would never make it in during rush hour before they closed in addition, it was also 45 minutes away from our house as compared to 10 minutes from Cameron Park. Dispatched finally found one at Mills Station, Rancho Cordova so we took that. I called to confirm and spoke w/Das but he wouldn't speak to me (Michele Hom) who placed the order and my name/credit card reserved the order. During this whole process it was very stressful with little or no help from the U-Haul staff. We had to do all the work ourselves. I am very disappointed and I am requesting a full refund which will not even begin to cover our additional fuel costs to run all over town and the 4 hours of time driving around. Rented the uhaul via internet and when we went to pick it there was a computer malfunction and the truck we rented was not available. The guy that helped us gave us a discount yet it added a hour and a half onto our staring time which was frustrating and we had 5 people waiting t to help us with no truck. Once we got the truck the experience the experience was a good one.

Very old broken vehicle with check engine light on, the rear door was locked and key was not given - had to come back to get the key

I'm used to the vehicle being on a full tank of gas. 5/8th is unacceptable. You bank on the customer paying more. It was never like that in Folsom. Seems you like to take advantage of people. That translates to extremely poor service. I think I'm going to yelp about it. Not happy!

After making a reservation a week in advance, I was reassigned from the fair oaks location to the Mills Station location. I selected a self service check out for 8:00.. arrived and went to use the self check out and no equipment was assigned. Had to wait an hour for the store to open and it set me back for my move time.. needless today, very unhelpful customer service on the phone who seemed less than concerned about the fact that my needs weren’t met.

Customer Service was great. Order fulfillment was horrible. What a joke. Getting informed that we have been "upgraded" 2 hours before my pick was frustrating because the larger uhual didn't fit in our storage unit. Not sure if I will be using uhual ever again. The customer service at the facility was amazing. The best part of my experience.

The assistant manager was wonderful. a lot of trucks came in at once and he remained calm and gave each one of use very professional and quick service. This is why I only use Uhaul.

Have the employee taking phone reservations listen to what the customer is looking for. I told the employee on the phone I would need a pick-up truck for 24 hours (5:00 pm - 5:00 pm and when we rented the truck a different employee (in the store) said I had to have it back by 10:00 am in the morning. I told her about the previous conversation and she said they would deal with it in the morning. I thanked her very much. We always use this location as it is near our home & very clean. The employees are very courteous.

Yet, no calls back, no response from any management. No promised adjustments to our bill were made. I will never rent from Uhaul again, a 30 year history gone.
