Each time we went to the facility over a four month period, something was out of service: the elevator, the automatic sign in, the locking system. The staff seemed to be accustomed to these break downs as if they were usual fare. The whole place is clean inside. Outside, the parking surfaces are uneven and bumpy. The two guys at the counter this morning didn't really seem like they wanted to deal with any customers. Kristina was great though, no complaints. There was a change in my reservation but she explained what was going on, she was apologetic and gave me a discount and it all worked out. Just wish it would've been noted in the system or the guys knew what to do without having to wait to call their manager.. this caused a 30 minute delay. Not exactly what I want to be doing at 8:30am.. waiting around.. but overall the experience was fine..MICHELL V.
Reserved a truck for a 1:30 pickup time the truck was not ready (no keys for said truck). Finally get keys after waiting 25 minutes or so, go to truck and it doesn't start. They did accommodate me with a bigger truck after waiting. Just wish they would have done it sooner.Chris S.

I paid $20 for my car to be mounted on the tow and one of the straps came completely off the tire! The strap was tearing and damaged. Thank goodness I didn't lose my car on the freeway!GERARDO V.
Always a problem. Never has a legitimate and smooth pickup. North avenue location in Melrose park is absolutely hideous, no professionalism, no manner towards the customer. Always had a negative and dreadful time with these Employees and especially the manager who Just acts like she's the Diva of the facility. Had many times in the pat trailer was loose and not secure. Or the employee never listened to My request and started arguing with me over what trailer I need. Absolutely idiotic. -5 stars for the employees here. Industrial and commercial industries are all going to hear about this type of services and customer care. It's like this. We pickup the trailers minimum half a dozen times a month. And these Lazy bums just watch me prepare the trailer on my vehicle and act like they just been up all night working like a hog but I'm reality their just disgusted human beings. How uhaul has employees like this, I don't care. Ruined the reputation and relation between myself , our business, our families , and others with their businesses and family friends. Never recommending Uhaul again! Business closed. Thanks uhaul for understanding and paying fools like those at this location. Making America great is not apart of those employees here. The service was great. The vehicle I rent worked great. The only thing was the vehicle wasn't washed and needed to be in better condition visually. I have always rented from u haul and outside of this rental the vehicles have been in mint condition inside and out but over all I would absolutely recommend.Kathy P.

Have staff on hand and available to assist customers' needs. While I understand businesses can be busy and short staffed, if I make a reservation for a certain pick up time then I shouldn't have to wait an extra 10-15 minutes before I even see an employee. I was pertinent and even early for both my rental pick up and return. Had I not booked the extra hour I anticipated for unforseen issues, intended for traffic not a late pickup due to staffing, I would have likely been charged for the overtime on my rental.JERRY L.

We asked for a app. dolly, We then cancelled the dolly. We were charged for the dolly, Then when we dropped the rental off, They asked about the dolly. We explained that the young girl at the pick-up said the dolly was removed from order. That she never did.MARK V.

After returning Trailers You Should be able to drop and Go! Not Waste more time reparking equipment wherever it was or Store need. You waste more time waiting to get hooked up leaving. As a Top Contractors We can Say Out of all Uhaul Locations We Use Melrose park Illinois is Ok. Lack of Pickup trucks but Managers Are Awesome! This is a busy facility that is under staffed. In addition the staff that is there is not that knowledgable on fees, etc. And because they are so busy nobody is really nice. We told them we werecgoing to drop off after hours. They Never went through the process of having to go on line and check it in or there would be an additional $20 fee.
