Darrie H.I got charged an extra $14 for gas when I filled it up passed the amount that I used. I took a photo of the gas meter when I dropped off the truck which shows it filled more than the amount needed. Still got charged $14 for gas and no refund yet.
Marcos H.Again the employee couldn't change or help with our reservation. I showed the employee our drop-off reservation but because the other location had put an incorrect drop off location, the Melrose employee didnt know how to resolve the issue without chargingus additional unnecessary fees.

Dennis M.So thankful the drop off location was a legitimate Uhaul store, where the employee had UHaul logos everywhere. I accidentally left my IPASS in the truck, and when I called the store afterwards no one answered. I left multiple voice messages asking someone to call me back. I picked up the truck and returned it within 24 hours, so I assumed the truck would still be at the location untouched. Finally a gal called me back 3 days after I dropped off the truck saying, the truck was still there, when she checked inside the IPASS was gone, and when she asked one of the guys, he said he threw it away and the garbage disposal already picked up the trash the day before. I'm so mad no one thought to call me to ask if I left an IPASS instead of just tossing it out. Now I have to pay for a new IPASS!

I was disappointed that the truck I had rented was not available at the Kingery store. The lady at that store was VERY helpful in finding the same truck at the Melrose Park store. She deserves a special thank you - though she did not know how to get to Melrose Park - there's always Apple Maps to the rescue :).

Ulises G.Extremely disappointed with my first time and last experience with uhaul. First I had my reservation ready to go at 6pm. Then at 6:18pm a uhaul representative calls me and leaves me a voicemail telling me this location (melrose park) doesn't have the trailer I need. At this point I was already at Uhaul picking up the truck and trailer rental. The front desk lady had no idea what she was doing & when she finally figured it out it took over 30 min. When she pulls the truck out she hooks up the wrong trailer.. finally after we get the right truck and trailer hooked up the interior of the truck was a mess ! The windows looked like it has soda splashed across it, the doors were sticky and it even smelled foul. After we finish using the truck and trailer we brought it back to the U-Haul location to return. Again we have nothing but problems and issues. We spend 1 hr on the phone trying to get a hold of customer service then another hr with the representative trying to get the online return going. The representative, Omar said he was going to make notes on the account that we tried to return the vehicle.(which he did not) The next morning I received a receipt and was charged the $20 after hours fee. Again I have to spend more time to get a hold of customer service and get a refund. I spoke to the manager Cristina who helped me out with this issue. Overall we had a very bad experience and U-Haul doesn't seem to care

Andrew R.I conducted an after hours drop off. U-haul's website would not allow me to upload pictures of the trailer to show its clean condition. The question on the website asked if the trailer was clean and ready for another family? The website would allow me to say yes to this question. I spent over 30 minutes at this location trying to check this trailer in before I changed my answer to no. The website immediately accepted that answer and charged me $15.00 for a cleaning fee. This is unfair and is a fraudulent act on u-hau'l's part. I will be contacting the BBB and the attorney general's office on this matter. I have photos of the trailer's condition at the time of drop off. If anyone else had experienced this same issue please file your complaints with the BBB and Attorney General's office. This is nothing, but negligence or an attempt to get more money by u-haul.
Malcolm D.Worst experience of my life. Uhaul changed my reservation 3 times and location on me. Had to go 40 minutes from the location I was supposed to go to. I was supposed to get a 15ft truck that was "guaranteed" to me in my confirmation email. I ended up with a 26FT truck. I talked with movers and they said that you should have a special license to operate a truck that size. Will never use Uhaul again and would never recommend it to anyone else.

I reserved a 20 foot truck on April 19 and for some reason someone in “traffic†decided to change my truck to a 26 foot the night before I picked it up. It set me back over an hour because I had to find someone to come and drive the truck for me and add them to the rental contract. That was a big inconvenience. I had paid movers waiting for me and I lost an hour of their service screwing around trying to get the truck.

Annece B.If the customer has a certain size truck reserved for weeks, have the common courtesy to call them if the truck is not available !! Do not wait until the customer shows up to tell them. They didn't even try to find a replacement truck of the same size I requested until I was there. Only reason I ended up renting a truck still was because I had no other choice.

Bob L.When I arrived at the location I stood in there for over 10 minutes and no one was inside to help me. I asked to have the rental put in my manager's name who was there with me and provided his license and credit card to pay for the rental but the invoice was still in my name. The vehicle was filthy and the customer was not the greatest. I will not rent from this location again.

The staff seemed to be accustomed to these break downs as if they were usual fare. The whole place is clean inside. Outside, the parking surfaces are uneven and bumpy. The computer systems seemed to be regularly down when we were dealing with the front staff.

We told them we werecgoing to drop off after hours. They Never went through the process of having to go on line and check it in or there would be an additional $20 fee. In addition opening our locker same day as rented kept setting off the alarm. We were told the system needs a day to process us.
