Make it clear that going over the allotted mileage results in a different rate. Also, the key drop-off box should be by the entrance like it is everywhere else, although I appreciate having the manager's # posted on the door; I had to use it to find the box.

The van was dirty at pick up. The representative handed me the keys and told me where to find the van. I ordered furniture pads and a utility dolly. I drove away and had to turn around after realizing they were not in the van. When I told the representative of the missing items he carried out the furniture pads and instructed me to grab the furniture dolly which I loaded into the van. I rented the van for 24 hours. We got done with the project early. My son cleaned out the van out, gased it up, and dropped off the van at 5 am. We figured it would be good of us to return the van early so it could be Rented. In reviewing my bill, a $20.00 after hours drop off fee was added. I have Never been charged an after hours drop off fee and frequently rent from U-Haul. I usually rent from the Pine Island location which has had superior service. I will not rent from the Merrillville location again.

The first thing I noticed was the air conditioner blaring with the window open. I thought "huh". Then the guy went through the info as if he were speed reading. Then after he gave me the key, I reminded him that I had completed all of my info online and I was too receive other equipment. So...back we went to the computer so that he could register the other equipment. He brought the truck around jumped out and started quickly going through info again. I had to make him slow down and explain the button pushing issue. I felt he did not care about me as a customer. This was confirmed when I got the truck to my destination and my husband opened the back to find "dry caked on" mud all over the truck bed.

Broken visor on passenger side. I didn't like check in process. I think it is impersonal. If staff is available they should go over visible damage on truck, not look at one inch picture on my phone. Your prices for a simple service are too high.

Not a location issue, just an issue with roadside assistance. Improve the u-haul customer service and road side assistance as a whole. This location was great at doing everything but the roadside assistance people were of no help. During our trailer rental we blew the engine in our Jeep and had no way to get the trailer back to the u-haul location. All customer service and road side assistance told us was to find another vehicle to get it back. They had no towing service to help us get it back and we had no way to get a u haul truck to tow it with because it was after 6pm when all locations were closed. We ended up finding a family friend with a truck that we borrowed and after sitting on the side of the highway for hours and drove through the night to get the trailer back by the next day.

I dont know what really happened with the computer but it wouldnt accepte my registration for rental 5 different times so the employee called someone and they informed he to try it the old way and it worked but that's was an hour later so just would say make sure the employee are up trained to handle all sorts of situations dealing with the computer system.

Prices are ridiculous and they up the rent atleast once or twice a year by $5.00. Dont expect it to be plowed until the next day if it snows. Much cheaper better places out there with 24/7 access.

Unsatisfied with the online monthly bill payment process. Unable to pay the bill before the actual due date was inconvenient. Uhaul needs to let customers pay in advance of due date. Customer Service!

One year ago I reserved a 10 x 10 unit I was told there was no problem reserving a 10 by 10. Which would have cost me $150. when I got there they had a 10 x 15 which cost $184 that's the $34 hike.

Only problem I had was with parking. There was a large uhaul moving truck parked along the entrance making parking/backing out a pain.
