The vehicle was very old and not well maintained. Had excessive damage all around. The vehicle even had a cracked dashboard. Then the lady working at this location entered the wrong mileage so I ended up being charged for mileage that I did not drive. While my initial service with the young lady was great (sorry I don't remember her name, she has green hair) She was beyond hospitable!!! Dale I believe is his name was however beyond RUDE via several phone calls. He escalated his voice at one point and actually said â€œwell I'm not sure what you want me to do about itâ€. After this experience sadly I will not be using U-Haul. Sadly his incompetence overshadowed all the great things about the rest of the staff. Honestly I don't believe he should be left alone at the place of business to even answer phones.Taylor D.

Laura was very nice and thorough. She pointed out the dent on driver side at top of the truck in which I was unaware of. She told me there should have been a sticker if previous customer reported this. That was a mistake on my behalf for not inspecting the entire truck. I'm glad that I purchased the insurance. Moving just after Hurricane Zeta sent its100 mph gusty eye through our New Orleans (Metairie) neighborhoods, was quite a challenge. But Laura Hudson worked hard (on Hurricane-induced power-lost computer systems, and a no-lights, no-elevator building) to find me a GROUND FLOOR unit, so we didn't have to try to carry 45 pieces of Office Furniture up to the 2nd floor. Ok, so the gas check needs to be fixed! I used the truck for only 7 miles and while returning I added some gas of around 1 gallon which should have covered the 7 miles I drove but I was still charged 4$ for gas. That is something I wasn't happy with.VISHAL M.
When we dropped off the uhaul I was notified that there was a scrap/ dent despite no accidents or hitting any objects. We were then told that we should have recorded when picking up the uhaul. The dent/ scratch was difficult to notice if you do not spend much time around the uhaul. We did a walk around of the truck before driving it, but the scratch/dent was not recognizable for someone who does not examine the truck. Would recommend that you make it more clear in email or when picking up rental. Also would recommend maybe videoing the entire truck before on a walk around since some of the scratches/dents may take a more trained eye for identifying.Kristin B.

I picked up and returned at the correct times. However, I was charged a $1700 fee because they got two truck numbers mixed up and accused me of driving it all the way to California. No one would answer the phone and no one would help me. I was constantly transferred or hung up on saying I would be contacted in â€œa few minutesâ€ then would not get a phone call back. This caused me to have a negative balance in my account. It was extremely stressful and infuriating. When the problem was finally said it was going to be solved no one apologized. It then took them a week to put the money back in my account. That was an extreme amount of money to take a whole week to be put back in my account. Absolutely unacceptable. I will never use U-Haul again. I'm sure this review will be deleted and no one will reach out so it doesn't matter. Worst customer service ever.Calvin L.

Nice and clean facility. Only had an issue when moving out I was apparently given the wrong keys to the lock on my storage costing me $85.00 and two hours of my time to have a locksmith remove the lock. I just felt that it shouldn’t have been on me to cover the cost if I was issued the wrong keys. Management was no help at all and told me that if I had a locksmith come out she would have to supervise him to ensure no damage to the storage (also verified that she was the manager of the facility). When the locksmith arrived she appeared to be busy but never acknowledge the fact that I was standing there with the locksmith man. I walked outside where I saw another associate and asked if she had a moment to monitor the locksmith man to ensure there was no damage and she informed me that usually they don’t monitor work of the locksmith and that we could proceed with the process of removing the lock. Manager who did know that the locksmith man was on site never appeared even through out her emphasis that we needed to be monitored.
