Sharon at pickup was fantastic. Probably the nicest, most helpful, and knowledgeable rep I've ever encountered. I'm in the military and move every 2-3 years. UHaul web site is very aggravating to use. After entering Data multiple times, such as name/address, etc and then license info, system comes back and says equipment is not available at that location. Must re-enter info. Also this is at least the third time where the site locks up at that stage. System is not up to industry-leading standards.James M.

This was, i would guess the 4th, time i have rented form this facility and i have another rental set up for this saturday. The facility is always very clean, vehicles are very well maintained, and i would like to single out Sharyn. As a business owner she is the type of person that you want representing your brand. She always has a smile, a warm greeting, and knows her stuff. It is great to walk in the door and have her say hi Paul and chat a bit before i pick up my vehicle. Who anyone chooses to do business with is typically all about the experience and I would say without hesitation that Sharyn always makes the experience efficient and enjoyable. Improvements for the next customer(s) would be to hire more personnel or schedule for more than one person to take care of practically the whole facility and it's services. I'd like to recognize your employee, Sharyn Mosher, for being very professional when it got really busy during fulfilling my reservation and afterwards. My order was put in wrong as a 4'x9' open trailer when I ordered a 5'x9' open trailer. While trying to help other customers during the time my order was wrong, she quickly made everything correct. And also helped getting the trailer on my vehicle with the right electrical adaptor for the lighting to the trailer. She had four or five other customers while attending my issue. She was absolutely great and got me going. If she was under a lot of stress, due to lack of additional employees to help ease the amount of customers in there, she hid it very well and did not complain once to me as a customer. She did her job and I highly recommend the company to recognize her and to also give her the additional help she or others need. If U-Haul has only one employee at this location to run the building, that is not good management at all.ERIN G.

I placed a reservation a month before I needed to move and a few days before, I updated the reservation to include another dolly, to bring the total to 2. When I went in today, they had exactly zero dollies to give me. Granted, I was given a refund, which should obviously happen when I prepay for a service that isn't provided, but I would love for someone to explain to me how I reserve two dollies and can be given none. The employee Nick that works at the front desk will confirm your u-box access when I requested in the timely manner set by your company policy. When I actually show up its always a problem to access my ubox and he just sits on his fat ass and says there is nothing he can do about it. On another occasion with Nick, I was told â€œoh wellâ€ with a shoulder shrug. When asking for management information because he obvs was not going to assist me, he told me he wasn't going to disclose with me that information. After Calling 1800GOuhaul I was put in touch with a manager from a different location and she was able to solve all the issues nick had caused and didnt want to resolve. the guy knew we had a first month free and still charged us $85 dollars and then we proceeded to ask him when will the first month take effect and he said we don't get a free month unless we rent a truck which we did then he said that MAYBE we will get it next month instead of going back and checking for us. THEN we got a new lock which was free on the online receipt but he AGAIN charged us for the lock. THEN the online receipt showed we paid $74 which is in correct because in the store he charged us $85. I am just so disappointed in U HAUL and i have been trying to contact you guys via phone and live chat and im not getting no connections to anybody.. i will be giving corporate a call todayStephan N.

While my interaction with the gentleman I handed the keys to was pleasant the location was not my original drop off center as the original did not have space to unload the trailer or offer any help whatsoever in unloading the trailer. My experience dealing with uhaul corporate regarding the ubox trailer share was an absolute nightmare. I was also not given the full amount promised as compensation for delivering the ubox trailer.Jill S.

First, I had and been asking to get a smaller unit since may of 2021, always told there are no small units available. I asked for smaller unit because I only had two items that need storing. This past month, October, my payment is due on the 30th of each month, it was October 1,2021, you placed a lock on my unit for being one day late. The place is very clean and secure, but your employees, customer service, and hours there are horrible. Examples, it would take me times that I help because I card not working over half hour, with nobody there. Then there is the hours, there is uhaul employees either not there on hours of operations or they have door lock and they are inside. The U-Haul storage lock was never removed therefore I had trouble getting a hold of customer service due to them closing two hours early and I had to pay an extra day for my truck due to the inconvenience of a lock. I could not unload my truck until 24 hours later.BONNIE Y. | First Impressions
Scheduling and In-store Staff awere helpful. There was no fence securing storage area and it was accessible via side street. The store looked fine; however, the storage area was located behind an old vacant building which made the area look like a JUNK YARD. I in and moved out a few days later. I was forced to pay movers twice and cancelled my 1 month FREE unit. I paid for 2 trucks due to difficulty trying to communicate from out of state via telephone with local Methuen facility questions. Price of 1st truck was billed for two days intentionally then refunded later. Change in location of 1st truck caused me to have find new mover helpers after truck was in hand. Price of 2nd truck was $200 more than online quote 1 week earlier. SIGNIFICANT DISCOUNT should be given for horrible experience due to lack of communication with local facility. Now I am being bill toll violations when I have made numerous calls to proactively pay tolls. Admin fees should be credited. I was told that I would be emailed or texted when tolls were posted which I could pay right away to avoid fees. Two young males were at the counter. One was helping a customer, the other (new employee) was on his phone and not only didn't acknowledge us, but was zombie-like in his response when addressed. When the other clerk was able to assist us, he gave very poor direction to where the storage unit was located. He also gave the wrong unit number so we had to wait until he resolved that issue. All while we waited in the 90 degree sun and 3 paid helpers standing around for 30 minutes while he figured things out. Once the correct unit was opened, it was dirty with leaves, dirt, screws and big piles of what looked like spider eggs. They should at least sweep them out before a new customer uses them. The price is great, but I would pay more for even just the basics mentioned here.Sharon L. | First Impressions
So far, our experience has been very good. The only thing that has made the experience less than perfect is that there has only been one staff person to help in what appears to be a high-traffic establishment. That put the staff person under a lot of pressure. He had to keep us waiting while he took care of other customers, as he would have to leave the office to escort us to the storage unit at the far end of the lot. My only suggestion is that you print up flyers that detail such things as the rules and rates for using the Dumpster, and advising people to photograph a truck before they leave the lot - the same information that comes to the phone as you're about to drive out.
