The equipment requested was not on the truck per contract, as expected. The team of moving help was insufficient for the items to be moved and we were promised an email receipt which we still have not received. The call center needs more staff to answer phone calls. Being on hold for over an hour and then U-Haul's company phone system shuts down is highly unacceptable in today's competitive rental market. The app wasn't working correctly when I dropped off the van and spent too much of my valuable time to check in the van over the phone.Lori T.
I couldn't book from your website for three days. I went to the location and they couldn't book it due to computer problems. I finally called and booked but wasn't given the best price -- the quote started at $350-ish and then kept going down to the $99 and 344 miles offered online, which I couldn't get to process myself online or I wouldn't have called. One employee sitting at the counter wouldn't wait on us because she was too busy looking at her phone. Then, she intentionally ignored another employee when she spoke to her and asked her to hand her the receipt when we went to pickup the vehicle. I had a reservation to pick up a trailer at 2pm. When I arrived at 1:45pm, I was told the trailer was not there and they would have to go pick one up at another location all the way across town. This is unacceptable, since I checked in the day before my reservation AND prepaid. I had to wait over an hour for them to finally get the trailer, which pushed my very tight schedule back. They should have been more prepared and already had that trailer before my confirmed time slot of 2pm.Kelly C.

I tried to use your app and it was a horrible experience. I thought it would be faster than going into the lobby. Boy was I wrong. The truck i rented was nowhere near where the app said it would be. After I found the truck the person I was talking to on the app kept insisting on 2 contacts. I gave 1 but everyone else I know was working or sleeping. When i rent a car from Avis, they dont need 2 contacts. Why do you? I have rented from you about 20 times and never stolen a vehicle yet. The people at the store were extremely helpful. Equipment was not walked by agent at time of pickup. 1st truck battery was dead and wouldn't start. My dolly and blankets were loaded on it by agent. I walked back inside informed agent. Had to wait in line again. Was given keys to a second truck. I was not given NEW paperwork for new truck. I was only handed keys to another truck at another location on the lot. Agent did not walk to new truck with me. I drove off completely forgetting my dolly and blankets and has to return to load them myself from 1st truck to second. What can be done to improve? The staff was great. The app gave me nothing but trouble. I could not check in to my initial reservation. It was after hours so I had to wait til the following day. Staff checked me in. Then the app would not accept my shared location or photo when I tried to return the vehicle. Finally a staff member checked me in. The person who waited on me did a good job. The problem I had was that the rental was set up over the phone and I was told someone in the shop could swap out my 2 5/16" ball with my 2" inch ball. (I asked twice to make sure) but when I got there I was told that the attendant didn't have the socket needed to get the job done. I had to go find the socket, which was difficult to locate. I ended up being late for own mothers funeral. Swapping a ball should be a provided service, especially when told you could do it. Someone at U-Haul should make sure staff has what they need to provide that service. Very unhappy!Scott C.

In addition, the call center (800 number) wait is HORRIBLE and they are not well-informed about the local facility. You cannot get thru directly on the local number. They do not answer the phone.
