When I picked up the vehicle the inside was very clean. The staff at this location were fantastic! The only issue-The windshield/mirrors were dirty and there was no windshield wiper fluid in the van that I rented (none at all). However the two men on duty took care of this issue as soon as I brought it to their attention. They did a great job fixing the issue! The cargo van was very easy to drive and was the perfect size for what we needed. I would definitely rent from UHaul and from this location again!Kimberly S.

At pick up the staff was very unfriendly. Drop of was horrendous. I waited about 30 min to be acknowledged. The two gentleman were rude and unprofessional. They spoke as if UHAUL was a different entity and they were not a representative of UHAUL. I brought to the attention of both gentlemen working on 9/17/21 @ 6:30pm that there was an error in my charges. I did not use all of the mileage that I originally estimated. They refused to adjust my bill. They also charged me for gas even though I returned the truck with the same amount of gas I receive it with. I had pictures of both the gas and mileage at pick up and drop off but no one cared. I was just told that there was nothing that could be done, "UHAUL will get you" is what I was told and I could come back or call the next day to speak to the manager. When I rented the truck I think I got like 4 emails. I dropped the equipment off early. Caught guy outside doing another truck no signs what I needed to do. He explained just leave keys in truck and leave. Which is great, but nothing that said (email) we have closed the invoice thank you for using Uhaul ? Like some kind of closure? Still not sure? The service people in 5600 Atlantic Ave Raleigh, NC 27615 are excellent. The lady helped us to pick up the truck when the U-Haul app did not work. I was lucky that the local store had not close when we came, otherwise; we can not pick the truck up. Company needs to find another way when the app does not work.DU L.
Having the dolly and the moving blankets mounted to the wall in the corner of the truck is dumb. It takes up space. I could have fit an entire dresser or other piece of furniture in the space it occupies. If I didn't opt-in to rent them, why should they be on the truck taking up valuable space I needCory J.

Don't often need a rental vehicle but when I have in the past I have always gone to this facility. The personnel there are always friendly and I couldn't ask for better service. Everyone, and I mean everyone! are always quick to answer questions, offer advice and are simply as courteous as they can be. The facility is above average in maintenance and cleanliness. Storage staff were friendly and helpful. Front desk staff were not as helpful - but once we figured out to ask the right questions to get checked in, this was an easy move. Wish front desk staff were more helpful; especially since this was our first time at any storage and we weren't clear on how to get checked in and assigned a unit. Uhaul was not available when I came to pick up. Associate was too worried about the video on their phone then actually helping me. Offered a cargo van, said it was unlocked and had me walk by myself to look at it. The doors were locked. Waste of time and TRASH SERVICE NEVER USING UHAUL AGAIN. Rude,Rude,Rude,and Rude! Shorthanded, No Respect or Customer Service. I have rented a Great Deal of U-Haul trucks and bought a lot of Supplies to move. This was the most horrible experience I have ever encountered from Key West, Mid Florida and North Carolina. Your treated like a Burden from the moment you walk in the Door. Again, No Customer Care, Concern, or Respect. Truly disappointed. Rented a 26ft Truck and a Van in 2 days. Booked truck but Van given. Rented for 4 hours but 2 given. Vehicle was not where online pictures said it would be but parked in a back lot. Lock box not by handicap parking as directions indicated. Truck cleanliness and price are great. One small problem - getting road-side assistance is very difficult. My truck had a flat, but since it was one of 4 on the back with a lightly loaded I was able to drive fine with the flat. My move was in town, so about 20 minutes from the place. After attempting to use their website for assistance and then waiting on the phone for 20 minutes, I just decided to return the truck and not wait for someone to come fix it.Seth R.

I hired an unloader who also drove the vehicle. I knew that if I bought insurance with UHaul, he would also be covered. And the lady at the counter confirmed that; however, the lady at the call center did not know this. She wanted the unloader also to show his driver's license at the counter. This delayed our use of the truck, since the lady at the counter had many customers that day. Please get such communication issues resolved. ThanksRavi S.

The location I picked the truck up was not the issue. Although it was NOT the original location I was suppose to go to they were nice enough to give me $100 off, an extra day and 50 extra miles. Got the truck to the drop of destination with a full tank 1 day early with miles left unused!!!! Now Uhaul is charging me for gas and miles. So now I have had to file a report to get a refund!!!! The location only had one person working, and he was so slow that I ran 40 minutes behind schedule because he moved so slowly and there was such a long line. I thought it was a quick mobile check-in, but I had to go to the counter to get my key. Then the truck didn't have moving blankets inside, so I waited another ridiculously long time to just ask him about the blankets. So, I was then late returning my truck by about ten minutes because I hadn't accounted for leaving so late. And of course I couldn't fill up the fuel tank because I was running late. So I was charged both a fill-up fee and a late fee. Both of these things wouldn't have happened if the service was quicker.Katelyn A.

I reserved a trailer to be picked up at your Wake Forest location. I contacted the Wake Forest office to confirm pick up time and was told the trailer was actually at your Atlantic Ave location. I was never notified of this change. When I went to pick up the trailer, the specific trailer requested was not there. I was given a comparable trailer that was more expensive but was assured the price would be the same. After the trailer was returned, I received an invoice that was for a higher amount than promised. This issue has not been resolved yet. Please see comments regarding equipment breakdown. Overall, this was a very unsatisfactory experience which resulted in losing an entire day of our very expensive vacation not including the additional 3 hours of driving we had to do.Joseph C.

The truck was clean and there were no problems with the truck at all. We reserved a dozen moving blankets and a furniture dolly and neither were available when we picked up the truck! The rep mumbled under her breath at a very low volume and we asked her to speak louder FOUR timesâ€”she refused and continued mumbling at a very low volume. No customer service AT ALL. The rep was a little more accommodating and spoke louder upon return of the truck (because the person accompanying me at pick up asked for her name before we left with the truck). Access to facility, where it was, how to use, was not clearly explained to me at all. I had never used a U-haul storage facility, not at Millbrook or any other. The young man, who was friendly enough, originally told me, the lock and such should be inside my unit, when I had not even been assigned a unit yet. After he took all my info again, which most I had given online, he said he had “checked me in” and gave me my paperwork and told me I could go in through “either door”. I had no idea where “either door was, where the facility was, and he was too busy to explain further. After finally finding my way, I go in and alarms sound when trying to access my unit. I go back to a very long line trying to “get to” this only person in the shop, which is about to close in an hour. I had already wasted an hour just trying to get to my storage unit!! So I just say to him, “alarm goes off every time I try to get into my unit”, and he explains that “I have to check in” before going in to either door, which he had told me earlier that he had checked me in. It was confusing. When I went back another customer had experienced the same confusion, having to go back and clarify. Uhaul clearly needs more help at this facility during their office hours to help their customers navigate, especially their first-time customers, and to help the long lines!!Anne W. | First Impressions

The first trip to the on-site at Atlantic took about two hours of waiting as the young lady didn’t know how to complete my requests. Very frustrating so I left and took care of it online. She was pleasant but very distracted with everything else going on and not handling the person in front of her. Other people walked out, too. She went above and beyond to try and keep things running smoothly while she had five guests in the store and she was the only one working.
