Allow the excellent staff @ the point of service determine your terms of service, rather than some pale pinhead, in his/her mommy's basement entering data into yer rulebook. My reservation was overruled by yer 'puter, which told yer staff that my 1 ton truck, 12,000 GVWR, couldn't pull a wimpy trailer, that you advertise, "Any car can tow!" It wasted an hour of my time, whilst they appealed to upper management to overrule the 'puter God's decision.

I have a double unit there already, but on Sat I needed 1 more, but the 1unit they provided was too small. I called Uhaul and they gave me with the next size up. But when I looked at my credit card statement today I had a charge on my Visa and on my Discover, so I called the store mgr explained the situation to him. He said he would take a look into and as long as I only had the 2 units, he would credit me, sure enough I was credited.Immediately.

The inside of the truck was kinda gross. It has not been cleaned in a while. Something was smeared on the inside of the wind shield, kinda smelled like an ashtray. The handle for the drivers window would come apart when you rolled down the window. I was given a truck with almost 0 gas in it. Then was told to return it with a 1/4 tank. To me it just a sign of something poorly maintained. Otherwise truck ran just fine, but to me the details matter.

Received an email confirmation stating to go to one place per a call from uhaul. My uhaul app said a different place so this made everything take 30 minutes longer than needed. They did figure it out and even saved me money, but if I went to the location that the app said, no truck would have been available. It did all work out but strange someone called me, changed the pick up address and the app didn’t specify that. Everything else went great!

The was what looks like a muffler heat shield left in the back of the vehicle. I assume this had to be removed and could not be reinstalled due to location of the hitch. This information would have been good to share. This is not a complaint - Just a share to improve the customer experience.

The truck they put me in needed service repair it barely drove very slow like transmission was going out has to use over my time because of it called the location and all they said was “sorry about that “ which was so frustrating .. I really need my money back

Hello I filed a complaint about the IL scheduling and still have major issues as the manager will not answer back all my emails u have tried to call her number and the phone number says number is no longer in service from day 2 of getting the U boxes it has been a major nightmare with no help and no answers back to all my emails we still have been over charged from are recipes we get in emails from Uhaul and the manager will not help or anything I am wanting a head corp office person to take this over and contact me asap as I will be filing a 2nd complaint with Uhaul and Scheduling office Tom Carlson 423-741-2644 hockeytiny@hotmail.com I will never again use Uhaul for any service we need any more and the customer service at Uhaul needs to get better and all the misleading of customers as we are both fully disabled. The only good thing was the drivers who dropped off and picked up are U Boxes were the only ones that where good and helpful please contact me more about all this Tom Carlson

Remove the 2wheel dolly & blankets from trucks. Your taking away space needed by customer. And if the customer breaks the seal to move them, you get charged for using the dolly or the blankets. Not ideal

Not charge extra fees for fuel when the U-Haul didn’t have fuel to begin with and I had to add fuel at the beginning of the trip. Then when getting to my destination the truck died so I had to jump it. Very poor attention to detail and the trucks are not taken care of. It was snowing the day I picked up this uhaul and I as the customer had to remove all snow and the windshield wipers were so old they were dry rotting. Also the staff at this location are all unprofessional with the way they speak to customers. Will never recommend this facility to anyone! Do better uhaul. Oh and the fuel service charge on top of the fuel refill fee like how ridiculous. Do not rent from this facility.

I especially feel your donation area to be a sign of respect and honesty. Other storage facilities give you no way to giveaway things that you don’t need after your storage rental agreement is completed. This traps some people and is not good business. The staff member that helped me check in was friendly and helpful. However, Amador (Tito) was the most helpful person on site. He went out of his way to greet me when the check-in staff was occupied. (This is very reassuring in any setting- just saying hello, be with you shortly!) Tito helped me get a lock that was missing from my unit, fixed the hitch on my vehicle that was situated too low, and even helped me with unloading in addition to tips for maximizing space in the storage unit. He also met me to return my trailer. He is proactive, goes above and beyond, and he is the reason for my five star rating.

Very disappointed in the staff. Always a less than pleasant experience. In the last few days I was in your facility numerous times to buy supplies and rent a van to move and then rent a storage unit. I was waited on by multiple people. Every time the attitude was as if they were being bothered to help customers. The most disturbing experience was yesterday (Saturday, June 3rd) around 11AM. There was a line of 4 people waiting in line inside at the counter. There was a younger gentleman with spiky messy hair waiting on us. He was wearing his sunglasses indoors and mid transaction of the person in front of me he said, “I’ll be back, im going to the restroom. He slowly walked away to the restroom and didn't come back for over 5 mins. The other customers and i were left there wondering what was going on. When he finally returned, he seemed a little out of it. I cant be sure, but im fairly confident he was doing some type of drug in the restroom.

I like the facility and card access. The three doors are nice for unloading but one of the doors was not functioning when I was unloading and noticed a number of folks waiting as they could not use that door and has to wait for one of the other two to open up.

My first time having a storage unit & it was a terrible experience. First they put a $ as my street address… then not communicating with me on what would happen by this X date if I couldn’t make a payment or fix my situation so I lost everything I know my social security # was in my unit & they’re saying it belongs to whomever the auction buyer was like that’s PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION in which I have to lock now due to this incident. Multiple times I came to load my jeep and the amount of debris and garage the cluttered the floor was ridiculous. 2 flat tires later I not only over paid for a unit but had to replace my tires because of your dirty facility. Within the first 30 days I chose to rent a unit the price went up 15 dollars a month.. way to rob people. Also every time I had to interact with the desk staff there wasn't a mask to be seen. It was like COVID didn't exist to those people who were by the way some of the most unsanitary individuals I have had to interact with.

I rented the unit for almost 3 years. Due to Covid-19, we lost an income. Although we made a few late payments, as food and utilities came first, payments were always made. A female made several calls to press us for a payment not made by the due date. She was disrespectful on the phone. Chris was somewhat helpful regarding late payments and penalties, we were still charged a “lean” charge. Every month was paid in full. As mortgage companies and landlords were required by the government to stop penalties for late payments and evictions haulted, U-haul should have taken notes out of that book.

The actual rental process itself was great, but closing my account out was an absolute nightmare. It took 11 phone calls and several emails to get my account closed. The manager basically refused to contact me to discuss the issue. He even went so far as to send me an intent to pre lien my unit when my items were already out of the unit for almost 3 weeks.

This facility has an outstanding staff one of the ladies at work to the front desk I can’t remember her name is absolutely amazing to work with I had a very troubling situation with another location or a transmission I was scheduled to pick up a truck on Friday they failed to answer the phone and the doors are closed called U-Haul rescheduled the reservation for Saturday same situation as Friday and I went back to the location at 1900 Douglas Road and this lady made sure I had a truck for Saturday morning. I only have one BIG issue, when i was waiting for a uhual employee another customer came in without a face mask, i felt threatened and was concerned for my safety. If i were working there at uhaul i would protect my customers and coworkers by no mask no service as this is state law. As this person without a mask got closer i felt unsafe.

I have a couple of issues. I thought the online process was was smooth and easy until the alarm on my unit went off every time I opened it. I asked some employees about it and they told me the access code I was given via email doesn’t do anything I needed an access card, to which they gave me. Now that I had my access card ( which wasn’t mentioned as part of the online purchase process) I assumed my alarm issues would be solved. Wrong again. The alarm still goes off every time I open my unit. Then I come to find out that my unit has a wiring problem and is crossed up with another unit. So when I check into my unit I am deactivating the alarm for another unit, and some other unit deactivates my alarm. This is very annoying and discomforting. It defeats the purpose of the alarm in the first place. I was also informed that the issue “should be resolved in a few months”. If I hadn’t already filled most of the unit I probably would have canceled due to this issue. On a side note, the employees were very helpful and friendly.

Loved this U Haul. Very nice and friendly staff. Very clean and safe. I was there several times late at night. My only complaint is I paid for the whole month of April. 234.00 and moved out yesterday and they would not refund me the rest of the month. It was not the facility fault. U-Haul policy.

Issues closing accout. Uhaul also mis reserved a truck for me at another facility and i had to rent a separate truck and use more time to complete my move. I will never reccomend using uhaul.
