The check-in process on the app was (again) terrible. It kept locking up or saying "no network connection" (not true). I tried the web check-in also and it was slow and didn't work. I went back to the app and it was working, very slowly. I uploaded the required photo of the inside of the trailer, but it didn't attach. Had to do it again. Did the exact same thing and it worked. The whole check-in took well over 20 minutes. It was frustrating and NOT THE FIRST TIME it's been difficult. The app seems to have trouble when I need it most.Jill H.
When I stepped up to the counter to check in, I was asked if I needed a dolly? Blankets? or Boxes? I told him "No I have my own," He then asked to see my drivers license, so I handed nit to him. He pulled his personal cell phone out and took pictures of the front and back of it, I asked why he did that and he told me "It's just easier if I enter it." I didn't think about it until later in the to have him delete it, guess that's my fault. The inside of truck cab was FILTHY!! it had mud and dirt all over the floor of the cab! It also had soda spilled in and on the cup holders. That along with the windows being dirty and smudged look like they could've cared less about the equipment. The truck they gave me was blocked in, so I had to go back in to get the guy to move it. I took note of the number on the truck that had mine blocked. When I walked back in and told the guy my truck was blocked in and told him the number of the truck that was blocking me, he gave me a dirty look like I didn't know what I was talking about and walked right past me heading out the door. While I was waiting, I over heard the other guy at the counter who was helping another customer to log into the Uhaul web site to enter his DL in.Hmmm. He got to the area the truck was and starts to walk back towards the store, he stops, turns around and goes back to see the number on the truck that was behind mine, like he didn't remember the number the comes back in the store to get the keys for the truck. if he would've just grabbed the keys the first time when I told him it the 10 minutes it took could've been avoided. The whole time I felt like I was inconveniencing him from the look on his face. Finally he gets in backs the truck up, jumps out and walks back into the store. As there was no other truck in that lane he could've been considerate enough to back way up and give me plenty of room to get out, or at least guided me out but nope, not this guy! I had to jockey back and forth to wiggle it out of the space it was in. I drove a truck for over 15 years so I'm no amatuer, I wonder how someone without experience would have done? 20 minutes after receiving my keys I was finally on my way and not too happy to say the least! When I got to where I was going, I parked got out open the back door of the truck and there was a dooly and a bag of blankets ZIP TIED TO THE TRUCK!! IF I WANTED TO GET THEM OUT OF MY WAY I WOULD'VE BEEN CHARGED FOR THEM!! SO AFTER TELLING THEM I DIDN'T NEED THEM, I WAS STUCK WORKING AND PACKING AROUND THEM AND COULDN'T UTILIZE THE ENTIRE BOX OF THE TRUCK!!! I will probably NEVER use UHaul again! I WILL DEFINATELY NOT USE THE ONE in Montgomery IL. If you do, don't have the short guy with glasses and tattoo's help you! Buyer beware!!SAMUEL E.

The truck had 151k and would not go faster than35 mph. Local move so we were fine but the truck was time for a sunset. Also the location of the moving cart and blanket took away space in the truck. Also still waiting for my email receiptRobert P.

When i thought i had my reservation complete i got a surprise not knowing i had to make a change in the choice of a different truck only to find out the truck i had reserved was never at the facility.I believe that if the truck had not yet been returned i would let the customer know that there was no truck available.Mauricio O.

It's shame that this location represents UHAUL as a company. Rented a 17' truck on the 11th of February. All was fine until I looked at my credit card statement. Instead of the $128 charge I was charged $444.25. So I called the location and spoke to the manager or person in charge. He informed me there was damage to the truck. I asked him where on the truck was it damaged? The move went without any incident. I did not damage the truck in any way. On the contrary they received the truck cleaner then they gave it to me. The manager could not tell me where the truck was damaged. He just told me that's what the computer said. I told him I would file I claim with my credit card and he just hung up on me. At least tell me where the alleged damage is on the truck! Don't just hang up on me. Going forward I will avoid UHAUL. I will also not leave a rental place until the rented item is inspected. I should not have trusted the lady at the desk when she said just leave the keys.ISIDRO L.
I'm very disappointed that I was charged an extra $25.00 for not washing the truck. It had dirt and salt on it when I rented it. Understandably so, it was about 8 degrees outside the day I rented it. That's too cold to wash truck through the car wash. I didn't have it washed because I wasn't aware that it was supposed to be. I was told to gas it up. A wash was never mentioned to me at the time of rental.KATHLEEN B.
I ordered a pickup truck for mobile service and when I got to the location realized there were no pick ups on site and was put in an old small moving truck with no notification. Yes it worked for what I needed and was the same price but would have been nice to have some heads up or be able to choose what I gotBen S.

The truck was old and did not want to shift into overdrive. This cost me extra fuel. The box of the truck was covered in spilt oil likely from a propane grill. I spent over $100 to throw rugs in the box to cover the floor and plastic to cover the carpets in the house to keep this trash from being tracked around. I had the people moving stuff in and out of the truck slipping on the ramp. Thankfully no one was hurt.KEVIN W.
