Matt was amazing! Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. His coworker was awesome as well. They worked very well together and had the location well managed and running like a well oiled machine. The AM crew is AMAZING! EXCELLENT customer service and friendly environment. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the evening group. I felt like an inconvenience and annoyance. Also, I Unfortunately I had to call and extend by 2 hours but had to pay for a full additional day which was very disappointing. The crew forgot to put dolly in the truck, I had to waste gas and time coming back to get one. The gas level was incorrect at pick up, they ended up charging me $20 more to fill it to 7/8, but when i got it, it was only 3/4. I won't come to this location again.Jennifer R.

Location and personnel were great. The vehicle I rented was horrible, with over 166,XXX miles. The suspension was very loose, the steering was out of alignment. One headlight was out and the steering wheel was so sticky and grimy, I had to stop at Harris Teeter to purchase wipes to clean the crap off of it. I should have brought that piece of junk back but there were not many choices otherwise. Honest, I should get a discount for having to drive a truck that could barely stay in it's lane. The 15' truck I received had a broken visor clip (minor) but, the truck sounded like it was ready to breakdown when I got on the highway. It didn't but, I was very happy to get to my destination and get out of that truck. I will rent again from this location because the customer service was good. Brandi Billmeyer is a moving expert and a person of high integrity and great human kindness. No matter the issue, she is a fixer, and she's a friendly calming personality who helps you through the rough time of moving and hauling your belongings around the country. I wish every company I did business with in my life had Brandi there to assist. Uhaul made a few mistakes online and she fixed every single one of them. Brandi Billmeyer has been extremely helpful since I met her in early May of this year when my U-Box arrived at her location from CA. Her establishment is outstanding in cleanliness, friendliness, and helpfulness. I've encountered every problem you can imagine since relocating to Mooresville, then deciding not to reside there but moving on further tomWilmington. Brandi has helped me reserve equipment, and figure out the most economical way to get my belongings from there to here. Due to scheduling conflicts, other people's schedules, and college student moves, I've had to reserve and postpone many times. Brandi worked to extremes to assist me in every possible way and on my final move out day, she and her staff were there for me in all ways I needed, particularly Zak who helped me physically move several heavy or awkward pieces that one person alone cannot manage. They refused to accept payment for their labor, and I feel blessed to have had theim and so very grateful for their kindness.Stephanie A.

I had scheduled a uhaul for pickup at 7am where I didn't need to have to go through the office. The truck wasn't set up and the employee that was to be there wasn't there. The schedule online and on the front door stated that they open at 7am, but no one was there. I contact customer service for help and they tries to contact the owner but no one was answering. Because customer service wasn't able to get ahold of the owner that had me contact traffic control, but they weren't able to help either as they could get the owner to answer either. The associate finally arrived at 8am, and at that time there were 5 other customers waiting with me. The associate never apologized for being late, just complained that she had been there yesterday 14 hours and and had to be back in in the morning. When I mentioned that I was supposed to me doing a touchless pickup, she handed me a set of keys and said the truck was in the back in the gravel parking lot, just find the one that matches the keys. They never checked the truck, which had a bent fender on the right side over the rear tire or the scratch along the truck above the bent finder. I had scheduled the truck for 24 hours, 7am to 7am the next morning, but we finished early and I delivered the vehicle back to the store. Again no one walked the truck with me or even cared that I was delivering it back. When I went inside to drop the keys I tried to explain what occurred in the morning and ask if me bring the vehicle back 14 hours early if I would be having an adjustment on the cost. The associate was non responsive at first but then asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I told him nevermind, I would take care of the situation. Between the two associates attitude, the lack of attention, and not being able to pick up the vehicle on time, a moved that should have been easily completed became a trouble annoyance.Tamra G.

Tell your customers the charge for extra mileage. I was not told of the charge nor was it included anywhere on my contract. I still have a copy of the contract and can show how it is not on the contract. You likely have the same copy. Only complaint is there was no one at the desk when I arrived, which I understand they have to walk the property and stuff. It would've been nice to having a paging system or even a little sign stating when they'd be back. I waited maybe 10min or so which isn't bad but a little annoying. Explain the way your billing works. I expected to pay at least $40.00 for using the uhaul. N I ended up paying $87.00 . N I'm trying to figure out for what when I filled truck back up. Had no scratches or any damage. I went from Mooresville uhaul to Statesville then came right back. Used it for an hour or so. So I was lost it needs to b explained to customers better.Tamika M.

Have had great experiences previously here, so maybe this was a blip. Unprofessional this time- listening to the associates discussing personal details of another customer. The truck was not ready and it was filthy as documented. The photos of truck condition were not accurate either- two different colored bumpers. Upon returning waited a long time at the gate to come in and find 3 employees just chatting behind the counter not paying attention. I was treated as an interruption to the office gossip not as a customer. The truck itself was in rough shape- only used it for 12 miles but would not have taken on highwayâ€¦JEREMIAH G.

Bathrooms filthy at all times, almost never cleaned except by me. Another tenant allowed to play ridiculously loud music even after multiple complaints, in violation of the contract term's, making it near impossible for me to do my work. My experience was wonderful up until I asked to extend my unit for 1 week. I moved from out of state, and the closing on my house was held up a week. I was told no, that they would have to charge me over $500.00 for 1 extra night. I asked if I could speak with someone in corporate, and was told they would direct the call right back to her, and the answer is no. I was willing to prorate for a whole week even though I only needed 1 night. We also needed to rent a large indoor storage area and when they did not have anything available that would meet our needs, directed us to a nearby U-Haul facility that could accommodate us. My grandmother had a storage building with you since 2018. I was on her account as someone who had access or a backup I was told. She had been making payments to you writing checks.. Covid had been rough on us we werent allowed to come help her much except through a window to the outside. This facility somehow was contacting her to remind her to make payments as her checks were going to this place.. I know because I had to drive to the facility to make sure they had one in hand and to get assurance they were cashing it... One check went for over a week without being deposited I had to ride up there to question payment and then someone found her check laying where it shouldnt have been... She passed away a few weeks ago and I was her backup on her account I went to clear out the locker yet Nobody every let me know that her account was in error. Calling this place is near impossible yet every time we show up someones on that phone on a personal call outside smoking on that phone so I know it works its not hard to know its personal because you can hear the conversation through that door or see someones cell phone to their ear not other company gets to make personal calls on the clock, But nobody called me and her phone at her rest home didnt have calls missed either. We didnt receive any notices. I questioned the address and someone had it addressed wrong.. that address being wrong didnt make sense as we have rented trucks and Ive shown my ID several times and thats clearly printed on my ID.. So basically on her what would be birthday a few days ago had she not passed away shortly before this place sold a 130 year old bed that she was born in for a mere 45.00 that was in her storage along with other items left to my siblings and my cousins. The girl who talked to us wasnt much help, she said this is only the second time this had happened and was freaking out we havnt heard from them. Its a shame that backups arent utilized and employees at this station toss in typos for contacts without confirming them off IDs they scan.Corrinna F. | Overall Experience
It was horrible. I rented a storage unit on Saturday went back to access it Sunday after hours. To find somebody else lock on the unit. So I had no access to it. Losing all the help I had. So I returned on Monday with a truck full of stuff my wife and my self. (Losing a days pay from work). To get absolutely no help from cashier. Passing along my problems to the manager. Who in turn tried to open the unit by drilling the lock. Must of tried for about two minutes. Than telling me there was nothing she could do. But refund my money back not telling me that there was a 50 dollar guaranteed for not fulfilling my reservation. Another customer told me. So than I had to argue with her about it. Didn’t bother offering me another unit. Nothing. She basically sent me on my way. I do understand the times we are living now, and this locations seems to be overwhelmed, I was planning to keep the storage unit, but I found several times that the door was not working properly at off hours. Having to call a number to get a passcode because the remote was not working. Always the in/out main door blocked with customers, truck and trailers. Not friendly staff, always blaming the customer, I can tell their life is miserable, because they do not enjoy being there, with such a cluster. After renting the unit I found that it was an indoor unit with no outside access. I am elderly and walk with a cane; I cannot handle an indoor unit; I must be able to drive my vehicle directly to the storage unit. I immediately - within minutes - contacted the U-Haul facility, told them my situation, asked to cancel the rental, and requested a refund. So far, the U-Haul facility has not cancelled nor refunded. The staff in the office were great and made every effort to find accommodations for me in the area (which were sold out).
