The AC from the truck was not working. When you turned on the truck it worked for the 1st minute and then it was just hot air. Everything else was fine.
PABLO MI came in on 6/28/26 to get a larger storage unit. There was only one worker, a man. He was very busy helping customers. I waited for him to help two customers before me. When it got to my turn, he wanted to help me before getting the truck ready for the previous customer. I told him I didn’t mind waiting. When he came back, he was kind and very helpful!! He made everything work smoothly so I could have a larger storage unit. He was so helpful with me! I was impressed!

richard OThe 26 ft truck we were picking up had no air conditioning that worked, the fumes from exhaust came into the cabana every time we stopped the truck died on us, the steering wheel was hard to control on the road. We traveled from Illinois to Florida and for two days with all of these problems. My wife and I were nauseous because of fumes in the cab. This truck should never of been on the road since the distance we were traveling.

Russell GThe people are down to earth and okay to talk to and understanding but I was looking for more like you know you didn't want to show me the units and also tell me how to use the door I get it there's only one person there at a time but you should still take the time to tell people how to correctly enter the unit to put the stuff there cuz the alarm was going off Non-Stop however on the good note I was looking for a change from what I had because from what I had I'm dealing with vermin and I was never offered the opportunity to get any of the money back that I threw away but I will say that I need somebody to teach me how to use the entry because the doors are open you walk in you go to your facility and then the alarm goes off I was never taught how to use properly come into the facility because the doors are just open and alarms just go off and go off but I need someone to literally show me what I'm supposed to be doing because where I was at before that you don't even get in the gate before putting the code in and if I'm putting a code in why am I using a code and swiping a card which is confusing because that's what the card and it says denied.

Kevin MMy comments have nothing to do with the Mundelein location....the facility was new, beautiful and the Manager was excellent. My comments have to do with the poor U-Haul reservation system. I reserved a trailer for pick-up at a location that was .5 miles from my destination. There was no mention during the reservation process that my desired rental location had NO trailers available! WTF??? I made travel plans and scheduled my day around my reservation. I received a call 24 hours before my pick-up that advised that there were no trailers available and I would need to drive 60 miles (roundtrip) to pick-up a trailer at a different location. Very poor customer service and transparency.
Mark PThe cup holders were busted. Instead of focusing on the driving, I had to keep one hand on the hot coffee and other on the steering wheel of a 26 feet truck.

Melode D | Overall ExperienceThe reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the truck engine light came on during the rental. Otherwise very quick checkout, very friendly staff at both check in and check out. Clean orderly retail space.

MICHAEL LIra was extremely helpful beyond kind and I mean really he is what Customer Service is supposed to be about. He should teach all employees how to be because the way he behaved and how he treated us with the kindness answering questions being so helpful. That’s a kind of customer service all companies should have so thank you Ira you are greatly appreciated and to the U-Haul managers above this guy deserves a raise.
