We were given a very old GMC truck while they had newer Ford trucks on the lot. Fuel efficiency is probably not as good and they certainly don't do maintenance on their trucks. The wheels were not aligned, which meant we had to constantly force the wheel in position (very tiring when you're driving several hours per day). Once we crossed a few states, the engine would overheat every 10 minutes, and by that time we were only halfway to our destination.

It was a hot day with three people in the truck. The air conditioning in the truck did not work. It was not a good experience and I would recommend that anyone who rents here, make sure the equipment works completely.

The lines were long but the staff on duty made up for the long wait by displaying exemplary customer service, going above and beyond her responsibilities to ensure that everyone was satisfied. The van I rented ended up having a defective left rear tire. I thought it was a bad sensor at first, until several people on the road signaled me that the tire was almost flat. I ended up having to have 60 pounds of pressure added. By the time I turned the van back in, the same message was showing up. So U Haul needs to more thoroughly check the tire pressures.

The staff is extraordinary however the system is difficult. They had difficulty finding my reservation despite me calling ahead of time to reserve the unit. The movers waited and I paid by the hour.

It took almost 20 minutes for someone to come out and bring me my rental van after I got the keys from the desk. By the time someone came out there were 4 or 5 people waiting to check their vehicles in or out. Also, more than half of the vehicles I rent from this location are given to me with the tire pressure alert lit up on the dashboard. This is really unsafe.

If the attendants aren't trained properly in hooking up tow dollies or vehicles to a truck, they'll cost damages and unnecessary lawsuits. My vehicle wasn't secured properly on tow dolly behind the Uhaul truck by staff. Plus, transmission could've went out because of improper instructions.

The young lady who checked me out was awesome! She provided me with a courtesy call, to make certain that I was going to pick up my truck, since I was running late. The employee told me what truck to rent after I told him what I was moving. After I make it to the items to be moved I realized the truck had no ramp and no dolly plus the truck was not tall enough for me to move the refrigerator. To add insult to the day the truck would not start,thus I wasn't able to return it on time. Called roadside for two hours until I got a person, then it took an one and a half before he could get to me. Upon roadside starting the truck he could not keep it running so when it started the last time he told me not to turn it off go straight to the rental area and return the truck. This kept me from gassing up the truck and uhaul charged me 20 bucks for gas.. mind you I still don't have my refrigerator moved but this experience cost me 80 bucks. I am pissed.

Would be great to get another elevator access to all floors as you build-out more spaces. The ability to get multiple clients to their floors effectively and efficiently is key.

The check-in process was a little slow, but not too bad. But when there are several people in line, it would be good to bring on an extra person (if possible) to get through the line. But overall, a very good experience!!

It would be great if the business opens on time. I was told the business opened at 7am, however no one arrived until 715am. I believe on-time is late and late is unacceptable. Then I had to go through the check out process so I didn't leave until 730am.

Gave me a truck that and the gas tank was on empty. Than proceeded to tell us that if we brought it back with at least a 1/4 of a tank of gas we will get a gas credit of $51.59. This location is the absolute worse. I will never refer anyone to this location.

Even though we checked in online, we had to wait for 20 minutes. In addition, we received a $14 charge for "safe move" which we did not request, nor need as we were only towing our boat. We have attempted several times to call, but have been put on hold for 45 minutes or more...We did reach a representative during the rental, who was to add a note to credit the $14, but our invoice we received did not reflect the credit. Poor customer service.

Nobody present at the time of pickup to release keys. Customer service difficult to get in touch with an actual person (on hold for 15-20 minutes). When customer service representative was reached, they were unable to provide a specific timeframe of when equipment would be available. I understand that things happen, but it’s helpful to have systems in place to rectify problems quickly!

Overall, the experience was good, but I also booked a storage unit and when we went to it the first time, it was occupied. We were in a rush, and so having to go back in line and change the unit number was really frustrating. Also, there were multiple power outages through my rental-agreement-signing process, and so we had to restart it multiple times, which was really frustrating.

The truck had a headlight out (lucky i had the rental during the day) and it sounded and felt like a strut or shock was worn on every turn. The last user should have reported it. The staff was so friendly, i will recommend and use this location again, this was my second time at this location.

After our extremely exhaustive trip, we arrived to Detroit and the employees were nothing but kind. They were so friendly, and removed our car from the auto-trailer. The whole process took under 15 minutes. When we returned the truck after unloading, it was just as quick and fast. Service here was amazing, and if I choose to use Uhaul again, I'd come back here.

Dropped truck at 6:15. No attendant in sight. Wait in return line 10 minutes. No one came, went looking for rep. Not found went back in line, waiting finally came and advise to either way for a while as had to process other returns. Could either wait or find rep and leave the key. Had to look for rep and explain what other rep said. How do you have just 2 people for this large facility. Said would email receipt. Then next day, called me to ask where key was, advised was told to give to rep last night. Said ok and hung up. Sounds like rep forgot to turn in. How unprofessional.

The truck I received was a 20' unit, I was "upgraded." For my purpose I needed the smallest truck that could tow my car the 15' truck I was set to get would have been much better to turn around. At one location I had to disconnect the trailer and turn around manually. One of the 12v outlets did not work and my phone died while navigating on an interstate.... lucky the other receptacle worked. A minor issue but one nonetheless.

Elevator constantly malfunctions, emergency alert is disconnected - you may be stuck up to 20 minutes waiting for help. Staff attitudes rank from disinterested to outright foul. Would NEVER recommend.

The 24 hour uhaul renting would not work for me. The system kept booting me out I couldn’t get to the movers I had to pay for 4 hours of moving when I never got a chance to use them that night it was an utter waste of money total I waisted $1500 on a move that should’ve just taken 500.. I was on the phone with customer service for over an hour trying to get the truck and all they Gave me for my troubles was a smack I’m the face. They still made me pay for the truck the next day. Which meant absolutely nothing.

The online drop off system was hard to use. It was snowing in April and late. The pictures could have been taken all at once instead of broken down like that. I am not sure how to make it easier. It sucked running back and forth in rain and snow to take more and more pictures.

Charged me for 2 day trailer rental when the trailer was returned within 24 hours and a clerk from their location called inquiring about the trailer and I advise that it had been returned at 8:30 in the evening and the clerk responded that they would go out to do an inventory and confirm this. HOW SAD!

Only concern, if the key is lost, the facility does not have or cannot make a spare key for the contractor. The Uhaul road service does not do keys for the contractor. The only solution a locksmith.
