Ryan OThe check-in process on my mobile app wouldn't work. When I went into the store to have them check me in, there computer system was not working for about half an hour. The person who helped me was trying, but he was at the mercy of the glitch in the computer system which I understood has been a problem for awhile. If it wasn't for that delay, my experience would have been excellent.

JOHN WThe delivery was fine and the loading and then the pickup went fine. Emails were constant keeping me up to date. Two frustrations happened: 1 the delivery date was changed for some reason - I had not made a request for it and called and a rep changed it 2 when calling the destination U-Haul, I was always led to a central calling center. This happened most of the time. I know the rep who delivered the U-Box had trouble getting in touch with me by phone. Communication was not easy. The week of the delivery time I wrote a Priority Mail envelope to the rep I had spoken to on the phone previously and who had confirmed the original delivery date for me, a date I wanted, but which was later for some unknown reason changed and I had to get on the phone to the central calling center and get it back to what I wanted, I sent that rep at the destination a Priority Mail envelope from the USPS where I live to ensure the delivery date and the delivery location, because I was flying to the facility where the U-Box was going to be delivered and I wanted to make sure date and place were understood. On the day of the delivery, the woman who delivered the U-Box got in touch with me-we were in the same town now. She delivered the U-Box and things went well after that. The day of the delivery I went to the U-Haul location that had received the U-Box to check with them and confirm the details and the staff person was nice. I was pleased with the reps' attitude and helpfulness. On the phone after the U-Box had been emptied and sat at the facility, I called a rep on the main U-Haul phone number and told him I wanted to stop the autopay system I had used. He said it would take time to finalize all details. He wanted also to send me a text about the U-Box pickup from the facility where it had been delivered and where I had unloaded it, and I told him, it was out of my hands now and the pickup of the empty U-Box was not something I could deal with or arrange. The storage facility staff knew of the U-Box where it had been delivered only a day before and I had been in contact with them during the entire month-long process. The U-Haul rep ready to pick up the U-Box, which was empty, knew the phone number to arrange the pickup of the box and the time they would be open. She would have picked up the U-Box the same day it had been delivered and I had unloaded it, but her busy schedule did not allow her to come that same day to pick it up. I am not sure the man at the main U-Haul number mentioned that this was a new development in the order I had arranged in August. I could not be responsible for the pickup of the U-Box which was now empty. The local U-Haul location and the rep to make the pickup knew it was empty, they knew where it was, and the storage facility phone number of its hours. I felt like he was trying to rope me in on a further detail which I had no ability to help with and no ability to authorize or change.

TERESA GMy original reservation at Rethink Home on Fireweed in Anchorage was abysmal. The customer service was horrible, and I had to visit two other locations just to get a vehicle that barely met my needs. The dealers who are issuing U-Haul trucks need to be held to a higher standard of service in order to carry the U-Haul brand.
MA'YA BI was charged for damage/missing items ($200) that were not detailed in the final receipt. If this was the Applicance dolly, I brought it back in the showroom and pointed this out to the counter person.
DONALD WI found the shipping experience with U-Haul very good. The box was delivered for loading as scheduled. Shipping to final destination was quicker than expected. The box was properly stored until I could have it delivered to final destination. Pricing was fair and reasonable. I would use U-Haul again.

CALE HWhen returning, I pulled up to the designated area and sat there for several minutes. I walked in to find an employee; the person behind the desk looked at the security camera viewing my vehicle and said "there should be two guys out there" (there clearly weren't any employees out there). He dismissed me and told me to find one of the employees supposedly out by the return area.

ELIZANDRO GWe paid our rent and then circumstances had us move out one week after we paid our rent. There was no refund available I was told. I’m sure they’re renting out the unit that I was in and getting another person whole month of rent all we’re asking is a prorated amount to be refunded us specially in this time of everything costing so much. I had requested the manager to give me a call and I have received none as of this date!!!

PETER WOk. I set it up.about a month prior for a 5x8 covered trailer and a hitch installation at this location. Two days before my move, Uhaul called to tell me there are no 5x8 available. The hitch installation guy set my appointment for 11:15 but didn't come in until 12:00. He told me it would take between an hour and a hour and 15 minutes. It took him 2 hours and it was pushing other appointments I had way back. After the installation was done, I went to get my 4x8 and found they moved that to another Uhaul.dealership. I drive over there and I see three 5x8 enclosed trailers and one 4x8 which they assigned me. I asked for the 5x8 but was told they are reserved for others. I know damn well their reservations were not made any earlier than mine. I also found my return location was 2 hours from my destination. I want to say the employees at both Anchorage locations were friendly and helpful and my rating is not based on their actions but on the Uhaul company policies.

Curtis RIt is a great location with very very good staff. They are all exceptional and deserve a raise. My Ubox from Michigan arrived damaged by glass bottle with liquid breakage, leaking all over 5 boxes, causing some mold. But is *not* this location's fault. They were able to switch a Ubox for me promptly and were very very kind and empathetic in the process. Too bad insurance didn't help me, but that's all on Uhaul company as a whole. I struggled and fought for over a month with that issue, and eventually had to let it go without resolution on their part.
Masha LIt was convenient to start the sign in process online ahead of time and reduce the time I needed to work with the staff. The equipment was in ready, per my reservation, and in good order. The fuel gauge was not as clear to read, and though I was able to estimate correctly the amount of fuel I started at vs what was recorder by the pickup location, a more precise and digital reading from the dashboard would be more helpful.
Mitchell SNext time if you owe money from a previous reservation, have it alert the staff BEFORE they start a whole new reservation. So we’re not wasting the companies time or the customers. After we did everything, it let us know at the end that we owed money from before and couldn’t get a new uhaul until it was paid for. Dont waste my time and don’t waste yours. Make an alert to the staff before they even attempt to try to get a new reservation. Please and thank you Appreciate it

PATRICIA FMy pickup was delayed by 3+ hours due to a late return from a previous customer. I received a phone call asking me if I was o.k. with the late return, which was weird as I didn't have a choice in the matter. They told me that they did not have other equipment to give me at that time to keep me on schedule. I asked if I would be getting a partial refund or if they were moving my return date back from the original time to the new time and I was told no they would not do either. I had resources for the move already scheduled to meet me at 12:30pm so the 3+ hour delay meant that I lost my help before I finished the move keeping me up until well after midnight doing the rest by myself. Now here is the real rub, there were 2 x 10' trucks there when I arrived 15 minutes early. The truck I was supposed to pick up had been returned early enough for it to be received, cleaned, and the engine cooled down. I was able to put my hand on the engine block which was cool to the touch, so I would guess it had been parked for over an hour. No phone call telling me it was back earlier than expected. I had already explained to the person who called me about the inconvenience of the delay and asked them to call me if it returned early. The vehicle was clean and it ran well. The only real bright spot was that the gentlemen I met when I picked up the truck (not the same person from the phone) was a joyous person and really gave off a welcoming vibe. I wish him the best, he was great. Unfortunately I did not get his name, otherwise I would be giving him a shout out here.
Lynn TEquipment was dropped off hours before it was due after hours. We were told we could not extend the rental due to it being rented out at 9am the next morning. Staff did not check on the equipment until 10am. Which delayed the rental of replacement equipment

JOUNI AI am leaving due to the constant increase to my fees. I simply can no longer afford this. Fees have increased yearly, & while I understand your fees, etc. have gone up - this has gone out of my range. I wish my salary had increased as much! I’m also disappointed that I cannot get a refund for my August fees. So now, you keep my fees PLUS rent the space out again. Oh well, perhaps that will help keep fees lowered for another 6 months or so.

Richard HI had to drop off the trailer at an unmanned location and was not aware I needed to drop my contract in a lock box so it wasn’t with me after unloading from my move. The drop location was two towns away from my new home.
Ginger RI love this Uhaul location in Alaska! The staff is super friendly and helpful, although they may not be the fastest with their computer use. However, they make up for it with great deals and well-maintained equipment. So, be patient if you have to wait in line - it's worth it! They are always ready to assist with anything you need.
Theresa AMake sure the inside windshield has been wiped down and clean. Having a clear view when driving off and sun hitting the window makes for a safety issue. And the windshield wipers effectively clear away water off from windshield.

misikuki tThe vehicle's alignment is so poor that it was difficult to keep it centered in my lane as I drove. It would go much too far to both the left and right with small corrections, then due to play that has grown into the linkage it would take a much larger correction then wander too far to the right. Additionally, the ramp would not come far enough out of the deck to mount on the deck as intended. While we were successful in the work we had expected to do, driving this equipment made it more challenging. Being a professional driver with more than 2 million miles behind me, were this my vehicle, its next stop would be an alignment shop, and then your house mechanic could fix the ramp with a little work. The franchise operator was notified of the condition of the vehicle. Please follow up with them to ensure that this gets corected.

Debra M | First ImpressionsWhen going from Alaska to Washington, there are places in Yukon and almost all British Columbia, Canada, where you don't have phone reception. Luckily in Yukon I was able to call road side assistance only after dropping the trailer and driving 50 miles to get phone reception. In British Columbia they don't have reception at all and I got a flat tire. I had to keep pumping the tire so I can bring the trailer to a tire shop almost 100 miles away. With all that being said, I think trailer that will cross Canada should have a spare tire.
cristopher bEverything went smoothly, thank you. For the next customer, tell them where on the truck to look for the unit number… that took us a bit to figure out. Also, where the unit might be located when there are several similar looking units on the lot… we weren’t sure where to look or what to look for… for example, “the unit number is on the upper part of the truck box, over the cab and the truck will be against the storage building with a sign (say what the sign says)across the dash.” Otherwise, awesome service and helpful associates working - thanks again!
ROBERTA BOriginally, when I booked the reservation, there was a 29 day guarantee of arrival. Then the arrival date got changed to 35 days later. The guaranteed arrival date was now July 21st, 2024. At 6 pm on July 21st, 2024, I received a text stating that there was a delay and that I would be contacted with a new arrival date. The next day, on the 22nd I received another text stating that my new arrival date is between July 22nd, 2024 and July 24th, 2025. On July 24th, I received another text that my UBox had arrived and I could schedule delivery. I contacted U-Haul and scheduled a self-delivery for July 25th, 2024. I had not yet received a call from the local U-Haul by 1 pm on the 25th and after several tries to call with no success, I drove over to the facility. I then found out that my UBox did arrive on the 21st and that the texts I received about the delay were erroneous. Regardless, they prepared my box for me to pick up later that day, which went fine and we retuned the box same day.

After my feedback, I noticed significant improvements during my next visit, with a new, attentive staff member maintaining a clean environment. I am pleased with the excellent service and friendly team at this facility. I would certainly use their services again if needed and would recommend them to others.

I then went into the main building to speak with a representative and he was understanding when I explained to him that I didn’t realize it at the time that I did the rental online that this unit was a medium sized unit and all of my stuff would simply not fit. The only help he offered was that he didn’t know what to do and said that I needed to keep calling in to see if something larger becomes available. In the mean time, I have an entire house to empty by next week and nowhere to put all of my belongings. A simple refund would have been nice, since I have yet to move anything in, let alone put a lock on the door.

mckayla g | First ImpressionsMy overall experience was not great. Some kinda fraud when I would pay my bills with money order of 2hundred. I'd get late fees add on and constantly get notifications that said your last payment of 130 you still owe 70 plus the now fraudulent 50dollar late fee. That kept compounding, then I paid early to keep same rate for rest of the year. They kept over charging me to the new rate, and wouldn't expect the payments saying that it's partial. Then access another 50 dollar late fee . Next it compounds again. I had bad dreams and crazy anxiety of them auctioning my little bit of stuff off nightmares people. I believe the Boss lady Mrs Diane who is an absolute amazing manager is great and deserves a raise far as I'm concerned. Has emplimented a new system where they now take a picture of the money order. (I do always take a picture and the time/date. It's a good habit to use when paying with instruments like money orders cashier ,check ,checks. She's fair and will try to help you! I can't say enough about her professionalism! Mrs Diane you are a sweet special lady and I really appreciate your patience and help. I got my mother's pictures and few things back that would've been tossed out at a auction! Thank you for everything may God grant you passage in your time of need. Peace ✌️ outta here .
