U-haul is a trusted name all across America. I was a bit bothered by the trick with Vehicles not being full when picked up now. It’s much easier for your customers to not overspend when the goal is to put the truck back on full.

Picked up the merchandise about 4 hours before closing with the intention or returning before closing due to a time constraint that was impossible now it’s my understanding that a 1 hour rate and a 24 hour rate has the same price point I was charged for 48 hours when the equipment was returned well before the 24 hour mark with us living in a time where more often than not businesses give the indication that the motto is to “squeeze you dry” it’s the little acts of above and beyond customer service that goes a long way

U-Haul had as a recommended partner Moving Made Easy. I had reserved 2U boxes and after the workers hastily and quickly loaded my $4000 sectional on top of each other in the U box I canceled the second box. Moving Made Easy owner Colby offered to move the rest of my furnishings and unload the U box contents into a 15 foot truck and move it to South Carolina for $2300. I agreed to this price and asked that we move forward. Then I was notified by email that my U box had been shipped. I notified Colby and asked if that was a mistake as he had informed me that the box was stored on his lot and he had access to it from which you could unload it into his 15 foot truck. He then told me the shipment was between me and U-Haul. I was flabbergasted that it was shipped and now I was left with a half a load remaining in Dayton Ohio. Even though Colby told me his workers would likely not get paid because of the way they moved the furnishings then he demanded immediate payment He threatened to call the police and sue me. I called U-Haul and U-Haul referred me to a different section that involved arranging for the moving companies. Each pointed to the other as the responsible party for the problem. I called the intermediary between U-Haul and Moving Made Easy and was informed that the contract includes a 100% satisfaction guaranteed and that I was under no obligation to make payment for the hastily loaded 1/2 U-box order. I’m not even sure the condition they’re going to be in when they arrive here. Worst part is that I still have a half a load in Ohio that should’ve cost an additional &500 to move with the second U box but now I’m stuck with half a load moved at an exorbitant cost and another load not moved. All in all it was a travesty experience, which I will never repeat again. My impression is because there are three components, U-Haul, the Moving contracting segment, and then the movers themselves there is no continuity and oversight, and everyone points their fingers to each other as the responsible party for poorly managed merchandise. Because of this I have quite literally been left holding the bag paying $1200 to move half of my items which more than likely will arrive damaged.

First of all my ubox container came from Florida and get here in Vandalia safety but I wish they could give me a discount to transfer to stop unit there that I could have better access in my stuff. I had to transfer my stuff to other storage unit in Beavercreek because the price was cheaper and they give 50% off in the first 3 months , so I’ll pay half the price of the uhaul u box . Second I scheduled to delivery here in Beavercreek and when I was confirming on my account it showed me that I had order other U box container, it’s was very confusing I had to call u haul to make sure I didn’t order other containers because I just scheduled my ubox to be delivered to Beavercreek, finally someone explained that everything was correct the website is just confusing. I think it should be fixed so we don’t need to worry that something is wrong. Third I would like that they told me the right time they would deliver, not just say a window of time like 8-12pm because I had to be there waiting for long time and also I asked the manager to pickup the empty container at same day and wrote the note on my account because the container wasn’t allowed to stay there overnight but the container stay there overnight. They told me it will pickup between 2-5pm the same day 04/18 /25 butt the driver didn’t come , I called the driver Larissa and she said that she will pick up the next day 04/19/26, I don’t know what going to happen because they have cameras, I hope they don’t send me any fees for this violation otherwise I’ll have to take action for uhaul refund me because it wasn’t my fault . I have all the texts and notes on my account saying that the container will be picked up on the same day Saturday 04/18/26 and wasn’t, I had to go in the place earlier the next day and wait again just to open the gate for the driver. I hope Uhaul consider those issues and get better services for the customers.

Nothing, everything was good and we had a good experience with friendly, helpful employees, except for one employee that was really rude! We dealt with her on Saturday. She told us it was her last day working there and just didn’t care! Her name was Shannon. We’ve never been treated so poorly!

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a long time. The young lady behind the counter was not at all pleased to have to wait on someone..And she talked so softly and so rapidly, that I couldn't understand her. I asked three times if she could speak up as my hearing isn't as good as it used to be (one of the many joys of aging). That apparently was too much to ask. I couldn't understand where she said the truck was, but fortunately another employee came out to the parking lot and directed me to it. Everything else was excellent. Convenient location, Nice facility. The truck was just fine. But the interaction I had would keep me from recommending that location to anyone. And I think I should also state that I never experienced anything close to that at any of your other locations. I hope this feedback is helpful and it truly does help the next customer at that location.

Trailer tire blew out not long after we got on the highway, thankfully not loaded. Waited for roadside, no big deal and a great service. Made the rest of the trip to the drop-off intact. On the Pennsylvania Turnpike, another U-haul box truck blew a rear tire and was launching strips of rubber everywhere, continuing to an exit or wherever. Thankful for the roadside, but that could have been bad.

I will say I rented unit .then need over 100.00ver even broke tag to get lock from inside it .never used it. Then I got refunded 68.00 3 months later then. They decided to send a certified letter from manager with the nerve to tell me I owed over 20o.00 after giving me a credit.that is really nuts . It's like saying here is money back but now you gotta pay. For the credit. Nice work!

Truck had a loose feel in steering 149000 miles. Upon start up idle was erratic common in older fords with dirty fuel injection. Pad lock cut and inoperable, cargo area not clean. ( dirt on floor)

My bill ended up being almost $80 for a 10 foot truck advertised for 19.99 that we used for not even 5 hours. Also, the return was impossible using the link. The link would not work, it just kept saying an error has occurred, contact customer support. However, it was after hours. While we were trying to work on the link, a gentleman pulled up in his truck next to us, said he had been trying to return the truck using the link but was having the same problem we were having. Not 5 minutes after he pulled off, a couple pulled up to ask us if we could help them with the link. We finally had to drop the key in the slot and leave. On top of all of this, the customer service representative who checked us out when picking up the truck was rude. I have had a storage unit with U-Haul for 2 years and I have to say I was pretty disappointed with this experience.

I got the unit from 11-29/12-29 for free. I cleaned it out and removed the lock. I was told by Daniel that all was good because the month was free. Then I get charged late fee and for unit because they said unit wasn’t cancelled. I paid because I don’t need an outstanding balance but I shouldn’t have had to pay. And Faniel no longer works there, so there’s that. I did try to resolve.

Pulled up to equipment return lane, unhooked trailer, took pictures of trailer to finalize the rental and THEN, an employee finally sauntered out of the building to assist us. I don't know why it took him so long to come out. He barely spoke two words to us. We returned a truck last month to this location and had a phenomenal experience. Maybe it was just an off day for the employee we encountered? Not near the good experience we had last time returning equipment

The staff at the new location in Vandalia, OH knew exactly what I needed, even more than I did! His recommendation for two furniture dollys to move a piano made the job a lot easier than the way we had first thought! When I returned the equipment, another conversation with another manager gave me good ideas for my own future move. It's good having UHaul in my neighborhood!

My unit as well as entire building kept very clean. It was nice to be able to pull into building to load and unload especially in the rain. Would definitely recommend this to a friend or family. Will use again if I need storage space in the future.
