ANIL PThis is my first time renting a truck anywhere, and it was a great experience. Patrick was super friendly and helpful. The truck (cargo van) was very clean, easy to drive, and the perfect size to move my son's bedroom furniture. My only minor suggestion-I was told I would get a credit if I drove less than 50 miles, but the receipt I received after I turned in the van didn't reflect that right away. I didn't have time to look at it again until the next day, and it was then reflected as it should have been. So overall, all is right with the world, but it may have saved a bit of stress if I had known ahead of time that the credit wouldn't show immediately.

Erin FThe employees were very nice, but more staffing was needed based on the volume of work. I had reserved a handtruck, but was told those were only available for local rentals. It would have been nice to know this when the system allowed me to reserve it. I had to go out of my way to purchase a handtruck from. Lowes. Also, the reserved furniture pads which i reserved were not given to me or placed inside the trailer. I had to improvise with towels and blankets. Also, the employee hooking then trailer to my car let it slip of the curb and it damaged the rear bumper of my car. He reported the damage to his claims department, but I have not been contacted by anyone.

Michael BU-Haul didn’t give me the lock I bought, then put a padlock on the box after pick up and it took a long time before anyone could help me get the combination. Some staff completely ignored me and were rude and dismissive.

I will say, however, that the representative did say that if I didn't have insurance of my own, I had to purchase UHaul insurance. I've never had to get that before. So unless something has changed in their internal policy--and they haven't posted anything to suggest that change--I'm not sure I should have had to pay an extra $15 for what amounted to less than an hour rental.

Bolovan BWhen I picked up the vehicle, there was a homeless person passed out in the cab that had urinated all over it. The manager had to remove the person and hose out the vehicle. It delayed us leaving by over an hour. Then the mandatory vehicle checkin and sign off link expired before we could leave the lot. It was now on me to document the condition of the vehicle before and after with no real proof. The truck cab smelled like a bad NYC public restroom until I returned it later that evening. I was told by a representative at the location before I left that I would be credited back at least $50 and likely more for the troubles and delays, and that the manager would be in contact with me. I’ve not heard from anyone since. I was charged full original price plus an additional fee of which I’m not even sure what it’s for since I returned it with more gas than it had originally and only drove the vehicle 70 miles (72 miles were allotted). The communication was terrible. The experience was even worse.
Bennie AWe got our trailer at the end of the day on Saturday. There was an issue with our hitch not fitting well with the chain, so it took a while to get the trailer attached. Dominic stayed past closing in the rain with nothing but a positive and friendly attitude to get the trailer figured out. Both he and the other employee (sorry I can't remember his name) were very sweet and helpful. I would definitely come to this location again.

Amanda CU-Haul at every opportunity chooses deceptive practices over a truthful one. Rented blankets for $10 and no CLEAR instructions that they ARE rentals and failure to return them in the same timeframe as the truck, no matter how large the move was, will be additional charges! Telling me that you can call me back within 1 minute only to place me on hold for an additional 5 minutes? Why not just call me in 6 minutes from my request and be truthful about it. The employees are not the issue, they were all very courteous and professional, very helpful. U-Haul recommended a moving company that has zero safety, zero actual moving skill, zero oversight, zero value. I could have asked the neighborhood kids and got the same results. U-Haul recommended an insurance liability and did not even think twice. They dropped a gun safe because they have ZERO training on actually moving and packing.

Camala RClean the truck because there was something dead in the box drawing flies and made it tough to use. Tires were low on air too plus the windshield and right outer mirror was cracked.
Gregory MThe system was down which I understand, but if the manager isn't there it didn't seem like anything is able to get done. Again I understand the system being down but after the hour and a half wait I had I was surprised to hear the employee was just doing it wrong. Not only that but with the system being down I was told I didn't have to do any of vehicle checks. Despite feeling like I should do them anyway I listened and was then charged an extra 100 dollars after turn in because the tank was listed 2 quarters more full than it actually was when I was given the truck. Not thrilled to say the least.

Love this location both the cleanliness and how brightly lit the storage area is especially loved the garage doors you can open up to back your vehicle or truck into to unload or load. Equipment and supplies were plentiful. Would recommend this location to everybody.

I DEFINITELY SEEKING LEGAL ADVICE PRETAINING THIS MATTER. I ALSO DID’NT THE WAY HE WAS TALKING IT MADE ME FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE

However, if it wasn’t, we would have had a very difficult time transporting our larger items, i.e. sofa, dressers.

Being right next to the woods with homeless people living there… and there would be sketchy people lingering outside the facility. Basically every time I left the facility I felt lucky nothing bad happened. The whole area should probably be gated off, like other storage facilities. If I had visited before reserving online, I wouldn’t have gotten the unit.

Checkout process was easy. Facility is in a high crime area but that is outside the purview of UHAUL and not their fault.

Sheeba J | First ImpressionsEvery time we have to deal with this location, it's a very slow process. We tried to do remote pick-up for our van, but it didn't work, so we had to talk to somebody. They gave us a van that was parked about 4 inches from the vans on either side of it and had to switch out which van we were renting. This meant that we ended up having to call corporate later when we were being charged for driving 95 miles when we had only driven 15. Side note, because I know this isn't an issue with this location: Literally every time we've had to deal with UHaul in the past few years, there have been extra charges we've had to call back and change. Every single time. It makes me feel like I can't trust the company and that there is a lack of consideration for the consequences of whatever actions are making this happen.

Reba B | First ImpressionsThe place was really nice and the people were nice most days. You could tell they were overwhelmed and short staffed. It's why I always gave them a little grace. The reason that this place is only getting two three stars is because they didn't do a great job at explaining how to get in when the bays were closed. It was very sweet cleaning lady who showed me how to actually get in and make the door work not just sign in. The other complaint I had was that I had set it up on auto pay multiple times and every time I turned around it was not pulling the money out even when the money was in there. The first time I let it go but after the third time I had enough and decided to leave. Lastly, I didn't appreciate being upselled on insurance when my renters insurance would have covered my stuff I even asked my insurance company if they would cover it, and they said yes but I was forced to get the extra insurance by the manager who said I couldn't store my stuff there if I didn't. All in all it wasn't too bad of an experience but some of those things need to change.

We had to stand around in the parking lot with the homeless people waiting for someone inside to hopefully open the door for us. This was not a good situation. We finally got a key the next day.

I'd want to say average and also give it five stars because there were no issues other than apparently UHAUL did not communicate between locations that our first month was supposed to be free. The maintenance guy who worked there helped me into the building bit I still had to go back to the uhaul store to register in and I couldn't register out due to the building being closed. But besides that the overall experience was great nice storage areas they are clean and well maintained the maintenance are great with assistance.

I had to wait an hour to get checked in:for the truck, the supplies and the storage units that was while a man came in and threatened with blowing up the place with a malfunctioning propane tank. And USPS trying to drop off 10-15 trucks that weren’t supposed to be there. So I understand that it was unexpected but if you had just one other staff person none of this would have slowed down the process of checking people in and out.

We needed multiple units and had a little mixup with an assigned unit having abandoned furniture already in it, but staff worked quickly to resolve the situation. The alarms for climate controlled units go off regularly so it doesn’t seem like they are especially useful for detecting real security threats.

Due to this, the bathrooms were in horrible shape and usually out of paper and items were always broken (exit signs).

The surrounding area often has loitering, but the facility itself is so easy to back or pull up to and carts are often readily available. The staff of Uhaul are so very pleasant, professional and helpful! I highly recommend. We were able to use Uhaul vans on a few occasions and storage.

She is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever dealt with in life. If I didn’t just come in from a 14 hour ride I would have never stored my items there. I definitely will be moving my things soon. Grant also is another one that needs retraining. If these two are someone you guess think should work for your company your wrong cause they give u haul very bad look. I will be getting a hold of the ceo of this company because he should be aware of whose working for his company.

anna c | First ImpressionsRented a truck and storage space during my visit. Staff was prompt and responsive and the process of check-in was a breeze, so we could get right to the business of moving. The storage area appeared new and/or was very well maintained. There were covered loading docks so we could drive our 10' truck right inside to unload. Carts were available to help haul things from the truck to the storage room and they were all clean and in good working condition. Once inside the storage area, it was well lit and temperature controlled. Everything was clean inside - walls, floors, hallways, storage rooms - so I judged that my things would be in good shape while there. As for the truck we rented, it too was clean and in good repair (it even had its own padlock built in which is a brilliant addition but sadly probably just a fluke). All in all, we were quite satisfied with our experience and would recommend this location to others.

I asked him what time does the storage unit close he said 7, I asked about the time on the piece of paper that’s says 10. He say he don’t know about that but added 24hrs for $10. But I didn’t need it after 10. I came in when it was closing time about 6:55. My access card don’t work. I will call back in to talk to store management about this. This not my first time having an issue with this u haul company

When checking out, you provide an emergency contact to uhaul and they insist on calling the contact and won’t let you complete checkout until they verify the emergency contact. I have never heard of this type of policy. It was taking so long that people were telling the clerks to hurry up and people just started leaving. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to get my rental. I arrived at 9:45 and left with the truck at 11:10. It was just to long of a process . I struggled to give uhaul an average rating.

The facility is very clean and we are very happy with it. U Haul provide moving carts which helped tremendously and it was really easy to find the unit with the map that was provided. I also really liked the security system. Much better than most places I have seen. I would highly recommend the facility to anyone needing to rent storage.

By the time it was my turn in line they could only help me with my box truck. The other person for the storage unit was not around and that I would have to wait for the storage person. I just waited in line??? Why do I need to wait again? I left so I could pack up my daughters dork room. There was a time frame for move out that day. Which meant after packing up all her furniture I had to come back and wait in line again. This process which was suppose to be quick because of the “online check in” was painfully slow. The staff was nice but considering it was move out dates for UGA you would think you would schedule staff accordingly. The other people in line were also waiting a long time and having worse issues than I. I guess I should consider myself. lucky. I’ve used another Uhaul facility in Athens and did not have these issues.
