We opted for the Mobile App pick-up but of course that was a nightmare...the time it took to do that we watched 2 people who came in after we arrived come and drive off in their rental. So after getting to the end of the app check in (good idea, bad execution) we were instructed by the app to go inside for assistance because our truck was not assigned to us yet. Jedidiah was great and helped us get it all straightened out and we were on our way. The return was easy except for all the hidden fees!!!!!

I was charged for two rentals instead of one. I just got an email that I got a refund, but no one called to inform me. When I called in this morning about it, the person I spoke to was unapologetic and wouldnâ€™t let me speak. She needs a refresher on customer service skills.

Our local Uhaul did not have the equipment to leave our Uboxes at our home flat they had to be left on trailers facing away from the house. And because we had so many they were not all there at the same time. They were shipped to a different location than I had discussed with customer service when I made the reservation and when I requested the pick up the box was not ready. This has been disappointing

Frankie Ware assisted me with the last trailer on the lot which was the size I needed. I arrived about an hour before the store closed and Frankie gave me 100 percent attention. Pleasant to work with and worked hard to make sure I was on my way. Slight issues with trailer lights in which another gentleman working immediately took care of the issue after he observed a loose connection inside the trailer. I don't know the other employee's name but both were very on top of it and provided a pleasant renting experience.

Altho I made the reservation Aug 1, I was contacted Sept 4 that the box could not be delivered on the scheduled day of Sept 11 so I had to choose Sept 12 instead and load in the hotter part of the day. Think 90+ degrees. I signed the contract then for the $157 charge ONLY to be emailed a second contract the next day after the box was picked up and it showed a charge for $187. No indication why the price increase. Anyone who can explain why, I would appreciate hearing from. I still have to rent a UHaul truck to transport my other belongings. If this is an indication of how your company treats customers I may rethink that choice of rental truck.

Gentleman who hooked up trailer did not do so correctly and when we went to load it, it disconnected. We are very lucky it didnâ€™t disconnect on the highway home because it would have resulted in a horrible accident. When I told the manager about the issue he failed to apologize and only asked if there had been damage to the car. He couldnâ€™t care less about it.

The mileage was incorrect on the rental agreement. I reported it before I left the location. The correct mileage was noted on my rental agreement. The attached receipt still reports the original, incorrect mileage and charges me for 9 miles more than I drove, 25% more than I drove.

My things were in 2 U Haul boxes that were sent to facility 2 hrs away in Athens GA. My understanding is there is a Box place in Ellijay GA. 30 min. from my new address. A lot of expensive additional charges

The experience was awful. I followed UHaul procedures to pick up before hours only to find out that the truck keys were it in the lockbox and in fact weâ€™re given to another customer the night before because her keys were not in her lockbox the night before. Customer derive the next morning offered no help. I had to wait until the location opened up and lost 1 1/2 hours of the day on a tight move schedule because I had to catch a flight. The only positive was an employee named Frankie at the location who did everything she could to make it right. She ultimately handled the very frustrating situation well and should be commended. Obviously some employee the night before disregarded the impact to others of giving a different set of keys out. As for the equipment, tire pressure light was on and side view mirror broken. This is not what I am used to in renting from UHaul as I have rented several times in the past Iâ€™m various cities. This experience was the worst in trying to move my daughter to an apartment.

1st. Make sure that the keys to the cargo van are actually in the lockbox 2nd. do not use trucks that have known issues for the 24/7 service. I was offered a 10 ft truck (which I found out in the morning belonged to another guest reservation) that had the tire alert light turn on immediately after I turned on the truck. I was immediately hesistant to try and drive off with a faulty truck. 3rd I was stuck on the phone and on chat for 3 hours trying to resolve the issues I was encountering, only to be dropped from chat with Andrew, busy phone line for 1.5 hours, dropped from chat with customer service, and then to be told after all that that I had to wait on roadside assistance. another hour+ wait on to be followed up with. 4th Decided to follow up with location directly in the morning. Overheard another flustered customer with missing keys, which turned out to be the keys in my possesion. 5th then to be flippantly offered "a few" miles off my final charge (which has not been done) in repsonse to the horrific experience I'd had and only being able to use the truck for less than 12 of the 24 hours that I had reserved it for. This is one of the worst transactional experiences I have ever had. I did not even get 50% of the service I paid for and I think other customers should know about my experience so that they can think twice about using your services.

No one picked up the phone to ask questions for 2 days prior to the scheduled pick up. Since I had to drive from Lawrenceville GA and deliver UBox to Woodstock, I wanted to verify everything was in order ahead of time. Fortunately, everything went smoothly when I arrived. While the staff were courteous, These comments are for UHAUL overall more than for the pickup site - but it started at the pickup site, so I cannot discount their involvement. I contracted for a one-way rental truck, but it took two phone calls, and two emails to have it corrected to show the one way rental and return to my end location instead of the pickup location. Also, I contracted for a utility handtruck, but did not receive one and sent two emails, one phone call, one online "live" chat (which was never answered), and never had the charge removed from my contract, despite a customer service promise that it would be removed. I still don't know if I was charged for this or not, as I requested an itemized bill, but have received ZERO responses to my two emails or my "chat" message request. Based upon this experience I would NEVER recommend UHAUL to any of my friends or acquaintances. It has been very disappointing.
