Carl EInspect truck to verify wipers, lights, side mirrors, doors, and locks work properly and gas tank is filled before customer arrives. Have all docs prepared and vehicle pulled forward . Review features of the vehicle with the customer and any known issues with the vehicle. Provide the correct hours of operation to the customer. If customer reports concerns or problems encountered with the vehicle, first apologize and ask follow up questions, and allow the customer to respond. Don't accuse the customer of not knowing how to operate the vehicle properly, especially after denying customers request to jointly do visual inspection or review vehicle features before leaving the lot. You should not ask customers with disability placards and mobility issues toto move their vehicle out of the designated handicap parking space to the back of the lot. It is also poor customer service to answer the phone while you have a customer standing in front of you trying transact business. Nor should you discuss details of law enforcement visits and inquiry about an employee or another customer with others in the presence of a customer who has already informed you of mechanical and safety issues which caused them to return the vehicle before completing planned tasks only to discover the facility had closed hours before the closing time communicated by a staff member. Instead of taking accountability, displaying empathy or attempting service recovery, the manager repeatedly shifted blame to the current and prior customers. I will not do business with the Uhaul branch on Holiday Dr in Bloomington, IL and will be sharing my experience with Uhaul corporate and fellow community members.

Joel FVehicle wasn’t ready/key wasn’t in lockbox when doing a mobile pickup. Appliance dolly wasn’t in the truck- she tried giving me a regular dolly and then said they didn’t have the appliance dolly- staff interjected and said they did have appliance dolly’s. Woman that helped me was rude and she was vaping inside the store as well. Man that walked my pickup order to the truck could barely close the truck roll up door himself. I won’t be using this location again in the future.
Courtney PI reseeved a 5 x 8 cargo trailer several days before I needed it. When i went to pick it up one was not available for me to return at a different location. In the entire city. Disappointing. I eventually received a 6 x 12 trailer at same cost which was good. But as an inexperienced puller i did not want a larger trailer to pull or the extra load it placed on my vehicle.

I had to drive 30 miles each way and made this trek 3 different times. Showed up after being told to come in whenever I can thrn turned a way. Do not suggest this for anyone.

DANIEL AHorrible experience. No one was knowable about Ubox. I spent hours trying to get my Ubox shipped on time and it still did not. My husband had to go in and take to Eric who finally helped. Nicki and Darby where absolutely no help and said the did not know anything about Ubox. Oceanside was amazing once it arrived 3 days late. I will not recommend this chaos to anyone. It is way too much to put in this.

jackie pI always have a great experience at this location! The truck was a bit on the scary side, but I understand they do get a lot of miles and wear and tear. The turn signal did not turn off, and the steering was super shaky and loose. I still think this is the very best facility to rent from!!! The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and they always go above and beyond for their customers!

He is even rude to his U-Haul colleagues on the phone, telling them he is right when he is 100% wrong. U-Haul needs a new general manager and this man needs terminated.

CORY DA lot of space to park my personal vehicle. They had the size truck we needed and it was clean and ready to go. I over estimated the mileage I was going to put on the truck but they adjusted it when i return the truck. Very happy and will rent from them again.

I explained what I was using the van 🚐 for. Yet I was charged double, now I’m waiting on the money 💰 to come back to my card! Which doesn’t happen as fast 💨 as they take your money 💴! My advice is to check your receipt 🧾 to make sure you are being charged the correct amount!

JANICE B | First ImpressionsThe only issue with the equipment was the side mirrors. When I adjusted them to fit me, they snapped back to the previous position. The only other position was turned too far inward.
LINDA FReservation does not mean you get what you reserve. They did upgrade the size of our truck for free but it was too big to park close when loading and harder to handle than anticipated. We just didn’t need that big of a truck. They also changed the pick up location which was much more inconvenient and quite a riskier place for pick up. Lots of texts and phone calls with just a few days between reservation and pick up. Overall the process was a hassle.

VICENTE GI've always had a good experience here, but this rental the trailer had a tail light not working properly. They said it was likely a short in the wiring but I think it might have been just a bulb needing replaced. The running light worked (with my headlights) but no turn signal or brake on the one side.

JUSTIN CEric does a wonderful job. The initial bill showed that the fuel was full. It wasn’t. I showed Eric a photo of the actual fuel level at the start of the trip and a receipt for $10 in gas that put the fuel level above full. Eric corrected the bill and acted in a friendly and professional manner. Give Eric a raise, he deserves it.

Particularly Jenn in Bloomington, IL, she was extremely friendly and helpful, she made you feel like you are placing your belongings into a home instead of a storage facility. For someone who is extremely petite and did not have access to friends or family to drive a U-Haul truck the U-Box option was perfect!! I highly recommend the U-Box option.
