Nice Folks, had the pleasure of working with the owner for an easy checking out of the vehicle. They were a bit backed up checking vehicles back in so we were told to leave it in their line to check in (they actually inspect and clean check in's vs. some locations that seem to never even look at the trucks) and got email confirmation check in was complete before even getting home. Will definitely be returning to this location for pickup/van rentals for future projects.

They do r charge the correct amount of days for a re take a as then they don't refund your account or answer emails in correspondence to the errors made on there behalf. There's is always Penske I guess.

I originally made the reservation for the location closest to my house, I got called 1 day prior to my pick up date that I had to go to another location. This new location was better than the first !! I have an upcoming pick up again and I'll be happy to never have to deal with this location again. Poor mgmt , no respect for customers is just a few of the poor qualities that the location had! Your Orange city location is by far the best location I've ever dealt with and the location on south Orlando drive.. well let's say I've had better customer service from McDonald's!!

The planned drop-off location never opened. I had to find an alternate location. I drove to the original drop off location multiple days only to find a locked fence. No one answered the phone at the location. I then had to drive to a completely different city. This experience was not good. I believe the trailer cost should be reduced for having to use a broken trailer, cost of diesel fuel driving, and my time over multiple days.

There was no apparent place to leave keys after hours, and I locked them in the truck. Having a dropbox is a basic accommodation for those using the mobile reservation system.

The drivers door hard to close. The wheel had a lot of play and when you first start to move it didn't change gears until you got to 40mph. Hesitates a lot. Great personnel.

Made the reservation on line. A different location was first recommended. That location was closed and ultimately cost me 3 hours loss in time. The initial credit of $ 50 seemed weak compensation for te lost time, gas and inconvenience. I did require an additional day which I received at no additional charge which I felt was more than adequatel.

My experience with the 800 number was terrible. I need the truck for a second day, when I called the local location I was transferred to the 800 number. That being said, I was told that the truck I had was reserved for another family. I was on hold for an hour. The person I spoke to was Tatiana, she said she would see if she can find another truck for the other family. Tatiana never came back. This is poor customer service and I would like some kind of discount on the truck I had to rent the second day. I thought u-haul was better than that, boy was I wrong. This would be a good one for a Yelp review

Ms. Phyllis has been very helpful since day 1. The staff is always friendly and helpful with any of our needs. The facility is always clean. We were especially thankful for the security here. Every unit has an alarm system. I would definitely recommend this facility for all your storage needs. We have also rented several trucks and trailers from here. I would recommend them for those needs as well.

Have the equipment at the correct place for pick up. I scheduled online to pick up at 1800 N. Woodland in DeLand. When I got there the equipment wasn't there. The gentleman there was extremely apologetic that I was given bad information. He immediately worked to find the equipment for me. I was given a choice to wait an hour or more for one to be brought or to drive 20 minutes to another location to get it. This caused me to have to rearrange the pick up and drop off schedules of the vehicle I was delivering. Not to mention an hour of my time and pay for my employees. Very frustrating that a company like U-haul doesn't know where equipment is available.

The only concerns about renting the trailer is whether they are maintained. The tires were warped and though it was cleaned the trailer had an awful smell.

I am have uhual several times over the past year and I was Very disappointed with the experience. First the website was having issues with my reservation so I called the location and spoke with Phyllis and she made a reservation for me but it seemed very high for a one day trip. In a jam I made the reservation which I did question about it but she seemed to board line get frustrated at me questioning the rate. When it can time to pick up the trailer I stood in line for over 15 minutes waiting to get the trailer while the same person was helping people out of order of being in the line. Finally as I got to the counter to get my trailer I again spoke with Phyllis and told her my drop off location in Beaufort SC. She said the system said I needed to drop the trailer off in Lancaster SC which is 4 hours away from where I was going and made no sense. Phyllis attempted to contact the reservation hotline people but no one came to the phone so she said go ahead and get the trailer and I will have them change the drop location. When I went to get the trailer there was no trailer light extension so an employee had to make one with wire and splice connectors. I got the trailer loaded and about 1 hour into my trip I got a text message stating that my drop location of Lancaster SC was confirmed. This was again very upsetting because I am not driving 4 hours to return a trailer when I have three locations in my destination town. I then had to call myself to the U-Haul hotline which I spoke with a nice representative that was able to get it changed. She also expressed her concern of why the original personal did not get it corrected. I am truly disappointed in this experience from the overcharged rate to the inability of the rental location to correct my drop location. I truly feel I was pushed out the door and forgot about. This is very disappointing and disheartening.

I was worried that I might end up with an older, unreliable vehicle for such a long journey; but I was pleasantly surprised & pleased with the newer truck I received. It was an unexpectedly great drive. In addition, every time I've visited this location, the owner & employees have been super-friendly & accommodating.

The staff at Orange city goes above and BEYOND to help at all times ESPECIALLY the manager. I Just recently took all my things out of storage and I forgot and put my lock back on while it was empty and was charged for the unit the manager reached out to corporate and rectified the situation and I was refunded the next day! Great people and very helpful.

I've used u haul so many times over the years without an issue.... and now; you feel the need to Nickel and dime people over storage rent, when I've never even put a lock on the door. We were told that we were renting a covreed outdoor space with. It turns out that the electricity is nly on for a few hours at a time. If we were to turn on the small refrigerator in the RV to put food in prior to a trip, we would have had a real problem to find that it had not been running. Also, our space was not as long as it should have been because the renters behind us encroached upon ou space. Otherwise it is a nice clean space.

I was told I had access at all times. That's further from the truth. Each time I need access to mu unit I had to either have trucks moved or could nkt access. Using the alley ways in front of the storage units for your paying customers access for your overflow parking of your moving trucks is unacceptable. I spent alot on money per month to have little access. When I communicated my frustrations to the staff I was told basically to bad... it's the only place to park the trucks. Your overflow and logistics of the company's vehicles is not my problem. Access to a unit I pay for should have been their priority and resolved the problem. I've moved my belongs to your competitor and will continue to advocate to my friends and family anyone in need of storage to steer away from Uhaul storage.

It’s not clean. Animal droppings everywhere. Disgusting. The lock latch was so rusted, it was almost impossible to open the garage door. Some of the employees are so unhelpful is incredible you have storage business. And the parking is so congested, confusing, narrow and busy it’s so frustrating to get in and out. Unless you just don’t want or expect females doing the driving and putting the belongings away. On top of that U-Haul ought to be thankful that the vehicle arrived before expected, with the necessary gasoline, and in the same shape it was rented instead of having petty charges!!

I moved the contents of my home to UHaul in Orange City Florida in the fall of 2008. I experienced nothing other than helpful and friendly people. The manager Phyllis was always kind and helpful if I had an issue which was maybe twice in the twelve years that I was there. If I could transport the UHaul in Orange City to where I now reside here to Texas, I would in the blink of an eye. This location is stellar.

This was the first we needed a storage unit and we were pleased with the facility. It was always clean and the area for loading and unloading was large with lots of room to move the carts provided around. The only suggestion I would make is that the carts should have a brake as they move around when you are loading and unloading so you need to have at least two people or three for heavy large items so once can hold the cart.

My only negative was the placement for MY checkin card reader. It was under a portico near the main office. It seems like every vehicle rented was parked there. It was also where people parked to have access to the indoor storage. I got blocked in more than once, and had to detour around the building twice. If they could have put a card reader closer to where my unit was (WAY in the back row), it would have been easier.

The facility is well maintained and secure. The temperature, while warm, was within the parameters specified for the climate controlled unit. The only thing that really was perturbing was the annual rental increase. The cost was becoming an impediment to my storage needs.

The prices that are advertised in store need to be honored. I was consistently told that the price of the units were higher than the sign on the sample door. I was told that’s what the computer says.

The manager has no customer service skills whatsoever, when asked about the fee for using the dumpster she said it was not allowed, I told her according to the signage it was for a fee. She got mad.

I still had time with my storage locker and they gave it to someone else I wanted to put some things in there and they said it was gone I still had 2 weeks left I am disappointed in the service I got
