On my first reservation the people in this location went above and beyond expectation, wiring wasn't working and the younger man tried his best to fix the problem in the end I had to get new wiring done. The next day , end of the month not enough staff and the girl who waited on me was new and didn't recieve enough training to be left alone ,nevermind alone at the end of the month. I was told I HAD to take insurance on the trailer and when I questioned it she looked bewildered and asked her cohort in stupidity why and to be told it always asks for a deposit if I chose to use my debit card. Well at this point because she put the reservation in 3 times and now there was a very long line up, I left. I returned from my car with both reservations to show the other employee what I was talking about only to be told he would take care of it. Needless to say , it wasn't taken care of.

Did the online order and online pickup process so I could skip the line and just grab the van keys at the desk. When I went to grab the van keys they couldn't find the keys for the one I rented so they made me go to the desk and re-do all the work I'd already done but for a new van. The gentleman told me I didn't have to do anything, he had everything in the system from my online order. He selected confirm and continue on the screen a few times and then asked me to sign. Once i had the van everything was fine, it was reserved from 10am - 2pm, we dropped it back off at 1:30pm directly to the same gentleman at the front desk and we used only 20kms instead of the estimated 25kms. Two days later, I was surprised to see 2 charges on my credit card, one for $38 and one for $54. I called Uhaul to see what happened and spent over 30 minutes on the phone and the woman explained that I was mistakenly charged twice for the van rental, once online when I did it and once at the desk. The man at the desk also charged me extra for the insurance on the van without even asking me (which I'd previously declined when i'd completed the information online since I have my own insurance coverage). She said they would refund me that amount but I was still confused because it still seemed like I was charged more than I thought. She looked even further and said apparently I'd been charged extra since the van was not dropped off according to the store staff until after 4pm. I advised her we had dropped it off at the front desk same gentleman at 1:30pm, half an hour EARLIER than we needed to since we had it until 2pm. She had to then call the store directly to confirm I wasn't lying. After a few mins she confirmed everything was as I said and they had just not logged the van until after 4pm. They issued me a refund of $56 on my visa. Overall, a pretty terrible experience and if I wasn't checking my visa statements and didn't call they would never have refunded me or noticed the mistakes or double charges. Staff should be more diligent in a) actually asking customers whether they want insurance or additional items before just selecting yes and moving on and 2) processing vehicles when they are actually returned not hours later and then charging the customer for the late drop off

Manager named Trevor was great, everyone else seemed liked it was their first day on the job and had no idea how to install the trailer. Uhaul staff always seems horribly trained, or not trained at all

Just make sure we are well lit when it comes time to inspect the truck before leaving, Especially in the evening it’s very difficult to inpect in the dark. Love the app , very quick set up. Yes we’ll do business with you again. Website easy to use. thank you

Reduce wait times. Waited in line for about 50 minutes for a trailer that I had checked in online to pickup. I know it's busy at the end/beginning of the month but there's got to be a faster way to deal with rentals and trailer pickups.

All this user-friendly online thing will NEVER replace effective and efficient customer service on-site. U-Haul needs to step it up a wide notch to ensure proper training, and most of all hire bilingual clerks. Location: k’s restaurant just off the 417 at Embrun turn off. On three different occasions I have had to go elsewhere to rent from uhaul because the lady responsible at this location was not present. This should be a big concern as this area is growing rapidly and in need of Uhaul.

We booked a 1 way drop off in Orleans from Kingston....unknown to us an error was made and they expected the truck to be delivered to Manotick....had to speak with customer relation to resolve it.

Hello I have been renting from this place since they opened. It’s always the same problem that when they close the contract they don’t pay attention. I clearly left a note to make sure this doesn’t happen but I still got charged for 2 days and it was a one day rental which I returned same time I picked it up. Can you please correct this contract 29711110. Also I was charged for km and this is a corporate rental and I get 120km. I called and their number does not work and you get connected to somewhere else. Please call to confirm that this is taking care of. Thank you

The truck was ready for a maintenance and it not done before renting it out. It has an annoying noise when running, possibly with wheel bearings. For the fair collected from customer. They should be getting the decent ride. But this particular equipment was really not desirable. Also I was misdirected to pickup from. Booked place to some other place. It seems there is not much competion in Canada for u-Haul.

1st vehicle provided had broken heater, no assistance offered to de-ice frozen windshield. 2nd vehicle provided had not been cleaned and gas level had not been verified. Even though I immediately told the desk staff before departing with cargo van, the fuel level was not changed in the system, leading to a 30 minute drop-off to fix. A clerk I was about to deal with said « I have to go do something else », and just walked away from the service counter. I tried to be pleasant throughout.
