The truck did not look like it had been wiped down since it was last used in the cab interior. There was coffee and other stains and sticky around the console. I'm sure the truck gets used multiple times a week, but during these times, it would be nice to feel like you're getting into a clean truck. Other than that, the storage bed area was very clean. All stickers with warnings and processes were clearly marked and in easy to read spaced.

I don’t know if we forgot instructions or if the person renting us the space but we did not get a code so when we put our goods in storage the alarm sounded snd the same happened when we removed our things. We were told only then that we had to enter a code at the door. Otherwise it was fine.

Regarding closing the account: I was surprise to find out that their was no pro-rata per day with U-Haul. I should of read the whole contract at the counter in front of your cashier employee before agreeing of taking the storage unit. Unfortunately its impossible to read the find print of your contract when the booking is done over the phone or at the counter. IF I MAY SUGEST, this should be clarify at the time of the booking on the phone or at the counter by your sale team, this would certainly prevent a disappointment, frustration and hard ship when money is tight. I made a reservation for a 20 foot truck on October 9th for October 31st and received a confirmation email. When I showed up on the 31st at noon as stated in my email the staff said there was a mixup and they do not have any trucks available. They said they only figured it was a problem that morning but nobody called me to advise or make alternate plans. Luckily a 26 foot truck just pulled in for a return and they were able to give that one to me. I made a reservation over 2 weeks ago, and nobody called me when there was a problem the day of or offered to fix it for me. I was just told "sorry, we don't have anything right now." That's simply unacceptable.

The day of the trailer pick-up I asked to purchase a hitch and a trailer lock and a padlock for the trailer door for our trips - I was directed to the wall of locks. I picked a hitch lock and a trailer lock and a padlock - I asked if this would work with the trailer and hitch I had (installed at u-haul the previous week) - I was told yes. The hitch lock worked well and the padlock also but the trailer lock obviously did not as later I found out by doing some web searches - why the person at the counter would tell me that the trailer lock would work when it didn't is incredible. Now I have a brand new trailer lock that is nothing better than a paper weight. Also the person who attached the trailer to the car left the chains too long and they were dragging on the road, I found out after a day of driving. I wrapped the chains with tape to prevent the chains from dragging.

The reservation was was not set. I went in three weeks ago to reserve and it wasn't recorded. The truck was a cargo van It was the only truck available though I needed the bigger box truck. I had to do several trips and did damage to one of pieces of my outdoor furniture. The Storage unit is a 5x10 but has a big roof support In it so I couldn't put what I needed in it. Not impressed.

All was fine until the end: -charging $43.73 for gas fill-up?? PLUS you add more on for taxes... we did not drive the truck across town- we moved 2 loads 6 KM each way.... 24 km between the 2 properties plus the distance from your location and back (6.8km each way). A total of approx 40 KM TOTAL... 50$ for gas??? Now I am on hold for over 23 minutes.... not very good

The manager gave me a guided tour to my storage locker and explained how to access the building and access the service doors and how to exit once completed. The facility is very clean, well laid out and the staff was very professional and personal.

The employees were mostly rude and dismissive even after I had to wait 5 hours for the truck that I rented. Even a “our apologies, how can we help” would have been appreciated since the delay forced me to cancel, reschedule, and rebook many aspects of moving.

Forget recommending "this location", I would never recommend U-Haul as a whole. Almost completely ruined my moving day. Changed my reservation with no warning and offered me a $50 discount (which I did not receive). Showed up on my moving day to the new location (they also changed my rental from a 15ft to a 20ft), and they did not have this "new truck" available. I had to use a 10ft truck, and go back to my old apartment the next day to finish my move (with my car) as I couldn't fit everything in this truck. Employees did not have a care in the world and acted as if this happened multiple times a day, every single day. I wish the pandemic had bankrupt you guys. Awful, just plain awful.

The entire experience with U-Haul was horrendous. We had rented a truck for 7:30AM in Ottawa and hired movers to help us at 3PM in Montreal, all through U-Haul. Less than 48 hours before the date it was announced that the location and time of our pickup had changed to 3:30PM in Ottawa, HALF AN HOUR AFTER WE HAD MOVERS BOOKED IN MONTREAL!!!!! It took us 3 and a half hours on the phone with you to make it work, and your call staff were hostile and unhelpful. When I went to get the truck, none of the extras I had paid for (dollies, blankets, etc...) were in the truck. Truly a terrible experience, you're supposed to help make my move less stressful, not more...

Usually when I rent from other Uhaul I get downsized to a smaller vehicle which doesn't work for me. Very frustrating. I end up renting elsewhere. At this location everything went exactly as planned. Pleasant experience.

It's the lines. It takes a Lot of time to get a storage locker or to pick up a truck. When you are just buying boxes, you may have to wait for an hour. Make a self checkout or SOMETHING!

The service was great but the total cost is ridiculous. You advertise 29.99$ for a truck and I end up spending over 100$ for just 20 miles. I still can't believe that your making people pay for gas AND for the depreciation of your trucks (mileage). The day theres more competition in this town I probably won't go with uhaul.

Overall satisfied. One issue was that the map did not match reality and the unit we were originally assigned was a different size and we had to go back to the office to wait in line and get moved to another location. Not a huge deal, but also a bit strange. While we were waiting, the couple in front of use were clearly having the same issue. A bit strange that that if the map is wrong that it would not be corrected or at least that the staff would not know which were which even if there had not been time yet to fix the maps. Also, no apology for inconvenience, which was not necessary but would have been nice. Clean and nice facility.

The website/app tells you to go to the side counter if you complete the check in process through there. The issue is that there's no one working at this side counter so you're basically asking customers to cut in front of people who have been waiting a while, interrupt the uhaul employee speaking to a customer, and demand to get your key. Maybe in theory the idea worked, but in practice it certainly does not.

Upset that the walk in reservation was not "Saved". I called 2 days before my check in and all data was lost i had to go the reservation process. I also couldn't check in on line I was always getting an error.. Regardless of the protection glass your staff should still wear masks... You should have a touchless pay system, pen, key pad were not disinfected after use.

I was slightly disappointed in the cost for a longer trip. I had to pay a week for 4 days use and the long distance rate was not terribly different. With COVID-19, I had to wipe out the van steering wheel and radio and they were NOT clean. However, the van was swept out. I have used several vehicles in the past and they are quite reliable. I have never received a newer vehicle.

We were charged a $20 cleaning fee even though the truck was cleaned and in a very good condition when we returned it.What is the reason the charge a $20 cleaning fee? If this fee can't be refunded,I will not be using U-Haul services again in the future and I will not recommend it to friends and family.

Van was nor entirely clean. Found candy wrappers in cup holders and a Gatorade bottle under the seat. Made me feel sceptical that van was not properly cleaned in my his age of COVID. Issues with the self serve checkin delayed my departure by 20 minutes.

It is clearly indicated that for a truck rental we can get a one month free storage. And your associate claims it can only be done once. The extra storage is for a different household yet in my name because my daughter was not with me. Can you fix that and reverse the one month storage. ???

The person outside mistook the kms used and tried to say we did over 2000kms. He had scanned the wrong van! We only did 159 kms. So we had to go in to the office and deal with it. The person at the desk was quick to solve the issue. With Covid it was annoying to have to put masks on and go in.

Took way to long to return equipment. This was not the location I booked online. Apparently, the location I chose did not have the equipment I requested. When I asked the sales person why the website let me book a location that does not have the equipment, the sales person told me “because our system sucks!”

The indoor storage space was great. The problem I had over and over again, is that I couldn’t get in. I wasted time and money when I was trying to move out, because the code was not working. I called and told them the next day, they said they will reset it,I came back after work and couldn’t get in again! There is no one to call after 7 pm. I had to wait again till the next day. Then there’s the confusing issue of 2 boxes, to punch your number into, and you have to punch in your number to the one on the left first... if you punch it in on the right before the left it will look you out- no one explained that until I got locked out- it makes no sense why it has to be that way- , anyways my number did not work in either boxes.Then I realized there’s a 3rd punch in box. There should be clear instructions. It was a very frustrating experience to go there 3 times, and be looked out all there times after getting reassurances from the staff that my code works and that I should be able to get in.

I willl use only uhaul in the future. The staff were amazing. So helpful and accommodating. I recommend them to everyone. Clean, bright and secure. I stored all of my belongings at the Innes Road location for over two years and did not have a single problem. Definitely a 5-star moving and storage facility.

Good morning, You will see that I have already place a call regarding my quote on the storage in my account. During my telephone conversation last week, i was quoted 124.95 for a storage space equal or relatively close to the 15ft moving truck I rented. But. on august 29, when i brought my items, I was toll that the price was 269.95 per month with the first month free. That is not what I agreed. My rental trucks air conditioning wasn’t working. It was very hot and uncomfortable. Also the service is very very slow, you need to hire more people. I left the lineup because I couldn’t wait..you can’t have 1 person working, and answering phone calls and 10 people in line. Other than than that, I loved the 24 hour access to my storage unit and the fact that it’s heated in the winter...

This storage facility did not have any security locks available to buy. This should not happen given it's the first of the month and it's a storage facility. Security locks are pretty essential.

Bad experience with the Manager. Every time I needed to see a staff member, had to wait a long time in line. Staff serves one person and then disappear when there is a line of people waiting to be helped. Anyway, I'm glad I'm out of there.

The facility is excellent and well equipped. The washroom was really appreciated. Occasionally the line-up to see a staff member was long as the storage facility is combined with the trailer/vehicle rental business but usually if it was too busy I could return at another date.

Some improvements in the website when signing up is a little difficult and when you check there are items that in there that you did not selected. Signing in is hidden at the bottom in Manage you account. Also reservation is hard when I select storage to reserve and checking out I received an error, double check everything but still error. I only get through when I select rent instead of reservation. Other than that the move in is smooth and easy.

3. There were mouse droppings in the storage locker. My niece complained and a staff member immediately swept our the space and replaced the poison, which had disappeared. My recommendation would be contingent on knowing the problem has been cleared up permanently.
