Your gas policy is unfair. You should give the vehicles fully gassed up and then it would be easy to return them at the same level. Instead, you give them at some random level (in my case, 3/8ths filled) and it is very hard to return them at exactly the same level. If I overfill, then you get free gas or if I slightly under fill, then you charge me an unfair price for the gas. I believe you know this policy is unfair and it's a bit of shake downDenis S.

Online check in did not work. Had to wait a very long time to get in person service. Then the deposit for credit card didn't work, had to switch to debit, but for some unknown reason, I could rent the pickup with debit. Had to switch to a larger truck, it makes no sense that you can rent the bigger truck with debit, but not the smaller one. When returning, the computer system did not log in that I had returned it. Once again had to wait a long time for in person service to get my deposit back. Whole process before and after wasted over an hour just waiting in the office.Joshua V.

The Haul experience on the website was confusing and very difficult to navigate. I tried several times to figure out what was going on with my rental and it was finally Devon, a Regional Ontario Supervisor that I spoke to in Canada and she was very rude and impatient. The experience booking was terrible. The vehicle and the Coventry Road location were great. My one way Rental booked for 9;30 p.m. was randomly changed to 9:30 a.m. and moved to another PROVINCE - pick up in Gainteau - not in Ottawa. I would not recommend UHAUL because the contract wasn't clear and the Terms and Conditions were not clear. I finally got in touch with a kind person int he USA who offered to give me a $100 credit for my trouble and pain on the site. But then she said couldn't do that for the two way reservation. Overall, this was difficult. I left over more than a 1/4 of a tank of extra gas in the vehicle. I am hoping that you will provide the $100 discount and refund the 14 tank of gas please for all of the mess and stress that was caused during this rental process.Valerie T.

The young man who served us was very accommodating, friendly and patient, as we changed our minds a few times regarding what type of trailer we wanted. Our receiver didn't accommodate the trailer hitch, nor did our power hook-up, but he fixed that for us in just a minute or two. Yard guy was very impolite first time renting a van looking for number said on dash, so went and looked at 8 vehicles windshields. No number matching key I had in hand. Walked back met him he yelled right there! ON back window NOT on front windshield. How do I know listen to what he said not what he meant. I had a very bad experience at this location. First of all, when I was checking out, there was a trainee at the counter who didn't know anything about how to rent a truck and nobody was helping him out and I was there for almost an hour and a half. The 26 foot truck that was given to me was dirty inside. Upon return, I had the truck gas tank quarter full and I was still charged $29. When I explained to the guy checking in outside, he was very rude and arrogant, didn't want to listen to me and told me go and get $15 gas to avoid this charge when there was no need for more gas. I am very disgusted with this location and I don't know if I will rent a truck from UHaul againshahid M.

The vehicle cab was not clean. There was pet hair all over the seats (I have allergies) and when returning the vehicle via the app I was almost charged a refuelling fee even tho I was returning the vehicle with the exact same quantity of fuel as I picked it up with. Luckily, staff were able to bypass the app when I presented them with photos of the mileage & gas gauge. Paying over $200 would not make sense for 3hours use and 24kms of mileage.CHERYLA G.

Also, they could not believe we were even provided with a truck with a windshield that had a huge crack across the entire length of the windshield. We had requested an appliance dolly, furniture dolly and furniture blankets. Unfortunately, none was provided and I only noticed once I returned to my home. I had to contact Uhaul and make arrangements to find another place in the city to get these. Turns out, these other locations didn't have the items either. I reserved a truck and supposed to drop off at one of the Center close to my house. I did an online check with my phone but the system had some issues on the location of where to drop off at Scarborough . The guy at the pickup place said it's ok to drop off at anywhere in Scarborough. All I need is to make a call to them. I got 2 text that asked me to drop off in toronto which 50km away from my house. And another is in North York which is 45km away from my house. This caused big issues for me, first I do not have 1.5hr to waste to drive To north York drop off and go back. 2nd, it cost me 10$ for Uber from Scarborough instead of 44.77 for Uber from north York. 3rd, not only I have to pay 30$ extra for gas that I required to pump to make it to the north York drop off. I found out that I was also charged for extra mileage for overages. This is very stupidest rental that I've done.Nhut Ken T.

I would not recommend that anyone use the internal units at this facility. My unit flooded three times in the 10 months I had the unit. And in the very heavy rains the water went all the way through the facility. I ended up putting all my stuff up on risers and planned to get out as soon as I could. Picked up truck at 6:30pm explained I'm going to furniture store to get sofa and I'm coming back to get my stuff from the storage and I specifically asked if I'm ok to access the storage after 7pm closing time and I was told that's fine. On my big surprise I couldn't access the storage cuz they put a second lock that I didn't have a key for. Had to turn around and leave plus send home friends that came to help. Next morning I asked manager Ben again why is this happening. His answer was there's no access to the storage after 7pm....the evening before he said opposite. I will never recommend Uhaul Storage to anyone and have reported you to the Better Business Bureau and have thoroughly detailed the fraudulent business pertaining to your insurance coverage. I have been told this is not an isolated incident and that this is entrenched in how Uhaul conducts themselves. I am the Director of Communications for a $15 Billion CPG company and will also be reaching out to my national media contacts across Canada to share my story in hopes that I can save someone else from renting through Uhaul and save them from thousands of dollars in damages, too. On top of not properly maintaining the drainage system at the facility, Uhaul does nothing to mitigate vermin and instead just traps the ones they find, does not dispose of their carcasses, and does not care that they run rampant across the storage facility. Moving out was very stressful given the fact that the parking lot was a mess. To make matters worse my brother and I were asked to push some uhaul units out of the way by hand in the rain.
