The price of my storage unit kept going up. Finally I just emptied it and placed my items else where. I live in 188sq ft. Not big at all. Melanie, Christian, and Dempsey were spectacular! I got a reservation for an automobile transport trailer... Unfortunately, there was an issue with the turn signal not working properly. Christian and Melanie helped troubleshoot the problem, and we determined it was my truck. I decided that I would have to reschedule for the next day, and figure out what was wrong. We figured we should check the fuses. While I was checking the fuse boxes, Christian continued his other job duties while still helping me out. Christian asked if I needed pliers to pull the fuses, and said we might have a fuse for you if need be. Turns out it was the fuse, and sure enough, these amazing people at Uhaul tacoma had one for me ready to go! With that figured out, I made a new reservation for the next day. Everything went so smoothly! Ladies and Gentlemen, if you are in the market for rentals and what-not.... You would be a fool, to not check out the Pacific Avenue Uhaul!Jacob E.

Lack of communication. I rent several trucks a year and this was my worst experience. I had limited time to get truck turned in and there was no after hours key drop. I drive a very large semi truck that has limited access and is ran on a time clock. I have never had a problem returning a truck till this time.Brian K.
The associates who work at the parkland location are completely incompetent. They could not explain the charges/taxes and fees to me. I also brought the rental back and they claimed it was at 1/8â€ of a tank, which I photographed at 1/4â€ - I will be calling and demanding my money back ! In conclusion not only were they incompetent but also money grubbing weasels who lied! 30 extra dollars was charged to my card on top of all the other fees they couldn't explain ! Easy to maneuver the 26' truck here to drop off. Informed drop location that truck front end suspension and / or alignment: needs to be checked, harmonic bouncing on some freeway road surfaces, which made driving extra challenging. Might be difficult to tolerate for long drive. But that maybe common for the 26' truck. 7.5 mpg obtained.Todd H.

Everyone getting on the same page for price quotes. Within 20 minutes of the 1st quote we got it went up $300. Not being able to get the exact truck we wanted. The truck we received was filthy thought it was bug guts but instead it was glue on the windshield which made it difficult to see at night. The inside passenger seat had foot prints all over the dash and cup holders had stuff spilt all over. Obviously this truck was not checked out before being rented to us.RYCK D.

Christian at 96th & Pacific Uhaul went above and beyond. I rented a car dolly and the one I reserved got rented out and the one they had left in the yard wasn't ready. The left side blinker wasn't working. Christian tried to fix it and was not able to fix it, so he got another dolly and it too had problems. So, he was able to fix that one and got us on our way. Again, Christian went beyond what most people would have done! Great job!Wil M.

Check your equipment before renting it out. My foot was burned using the gas pedal. The metal hump beside the pedal was leaking hot air causing extreme heat to my foot and shoe. My shoe was coming apart as a result. I pulled into an other uhaul place to get a replacement vehicle. The original site told me to drive the vehicle back to them. I refused because it was unsafe to do so. It took 4 hours to get a new vehicle and I had to pay a one way fee just to get my car. The 2nd site on S. Tacoma way was very helpful. The original lady behind Costco failed to take care of this properly.AYME B.

I had started having bad experience immediately. Although i felt the price was reasonable until I got the price for delivery. They never explained the rates how they would adjust accordingly to the market or even locking in a confirmation qoute. And when I asked for a Veteran discount, they declined. My understanding the ower/ company of the U-Haul was a Veteran (who started the business) who wanted to help Vets. Everywhere I've gone was given a Veteran discount and even going the extra mile for a Vet. Your computer system is not connected nation wide to serve your clients and staff need more training on how not to depend on cue cards and be more socialable. I worked for over 36yrs, working with people in society and would never recommend this agency to anybody. Don't get me wrong there were some staff that were very helpful and informative. Your agency were concerned about the money then helping me with my transition; moving from one state to another. Your staff need more training on how to communicate with their clients. The person working at the facility in Tacoma, WA was great but the person I spoke to on the phone was not helpful and didn't give me the correct information. When I called to ask about picking up my pod the person on the phone never told me that I had to arrange a day/time that I would be picking up my pod. Luckily when I got to the facility in Tacoma, the gentleman working there went out of his way to get my pod ready right away so I didn't have to come back another day. I really appreciated his efforts and was able to leave with my belongings that day.Delecia D.

Trailer 6'x12' trailer had two flat tires and the inside had a strong smell of axle grease. Got home and checked the tire pressure, one tire had 20 psi more than the other three. Online instructions were incomplete and led me to believe I could access my unit without going to the office during business hours. Email gave me an access code that has never/will never work. Online instructions should mention that you still need to go into the office to complete move in and get an access card in order to access the unit. My unit was broken into. Thought only a few thousand in items were stolen when I did a quick walk thru. After moving my stuff out found that more than I originally thought was taken. Around 5 thousand dollars worth of items stolen. Was told cameras were not working that day! Haha!!! All this does not even include the items that can NEVER be replaced!!!!! Oh and OVER 5 thousand dollars in tools that I didn’t know how to account for because I’ve been buying them for over 20 years. So thank you for keeping my items safe Uhaul. I can see from your public tv in the lobby that the cameras look fine to me but for sum reason they didn’t work when all my stuff was stolen. As far as renting a truck from Uhaul that seems to be ok. I wish I could give this more stars, but every single time we ever talked to a U-Haul employee we had negative experiences. They clearly do not hire people that are friendly. It’s especially bad as this was my first experience using their storage facility. It was very confusing at the beginning how we were allowed to enter and exit the building. Every time we asked for help they were unfriendly and somewhat unhelpful. They spoke to us like we should already know exactly what we are supposed to do. I had a huge sense of relief whenever we stopped using the storage facility yesterday. The facility itself seemed maintained well enough. I felt the price was fair.
