Very disappointed. I rented a 20-foot truck for 9 a.m. last Sunday. You didn't have one at the location I preferred so I had to go to another location and they said it wouldn't be available until 11. Still didn't have one at 11, so had to go back to the first location and only got a 15-foot truck and not until after 1 p.m.Elizabeth M.

The employee Stan was very rude to me because I kept the truck an extra day he call me on the phone chastised me for keeping the truck then hung up on me when I tried to explain . He was rude to me when I dropped the truck off . BE ADVISED EVEN IF YOU DO THE SAFE MOVE PLUS AN EXTRA DAYS ARE 2850 IF YOU ARE LATE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU $40 PER DAY AND NO MATTER WHAT THE WEBSITE SAYS....and also I was charged a lot of mileage because Uhaul did not assign me the drop off point that I REQUESTED ON MY RESERVATION or should have had which was 20 miles closer to my residence they only gave me 138 MI for 158 mi trip so I had to pay extra $78 not happy at all about that. BE CAREFUL THE MILEAGE THEY ASSIGN YOU IS FROM CITY LIMIT TO CITY LIMIT THEY DO NOT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION HOW FAR YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS AND THEY WILL NOT ASSIGN YOUR DROP OFF POINT THAT IS CLOSE TO YOUR HOMEHarry K.

I had reserved a large storage unit via online. There was no indication online that I had NO GUARANTEE to actually get a unit. I found this out when I showed up to move in. I was charged for gas even though I brought the pickup back only after an hour and half of use and with more fuel in it than when I left and representative at desk was smart ass and the girl outside when I brought the truck back was snobbish for no reason ,and I was told I couldn't rent another vehicle or trailer from them after this without a major credit card which is bullshit not everyone wants a credit card but anyhow I've always kept the vehicles clean and in same shape as when I took it off the lot no accidents or anything and there's no reason for them to act like they do so I'll probably buy my own trailer and use it now on and piss on renting from here !!Jason K.

The customer service rep at the counter was RUDE. When I went into the location and showed him my reservation he got pissed and slammed the keyboard on the deskâ€¦. He stated â€œI don't even know why it let you reserve this, that truck is rented out at Noon, and I don't have another truck, they need to do away with this dot com shit, and people need to come in to reserve a truck. I have NEVER been in line at this location for less than 1 hour, they all like to talk to much about their lives and other random things and not help anyone. This is about the 15th truck I've rented this year. I would rather drive to St. Albans and I live RIGHT beside of this location.Brandon S.

Make sure the UHaul you rent out is 100% â€¦the 17' Uhaul I received, lights started coming on in the dashboard-then the transmission went out. We had to unload all of our items onto my sons little FORD truck & it took several trips to unload the Uhaul. It was late at night when the Uhaul broke down-I had to work the next day. Unacceptable. They wouldn't help me in terms of getting my money back because I hired movers THROUGH U-HAUL that I thought weren't gonna show. U-Haul said they couldn't do anything about it. I mean, you guys contract through them & hire them, correct? So why are you unable to refund me? It doesn't make any sense to me. The alignment was also messed up in the truck & it didn't drive well at all. Other than that, the truck was in good condition, but, I probably won't go through U-Haul again honestly.Virginia W.

This facility was fantastic. I did have a problem with a requirement of 3 phone numbers to rent a storage unit. What if someone doesnt have 3 phone numbers, I guess they are just out of luck, huh. And the facility in Charleston SC, was aweful. I felt like I was bothering the people that worked there. And when it comes to setting up the tow, I was told if they help me set it up, it would be a $20 fee. That was not mentioned at the counter and I didn't see that anywhere before or after I made the reservation or the invoice. and not being able to check in the tow separate from the truck, when I didnt need the tow after I arrived at this facility, was another thing that left a sour taste in my mouth. Oh, and when I paid for the reservation for the truck and tow, being a veteran, I later found out that UHaul offers a discount, but that wasn't mentioned at the Charleston SC office, either.CHRISTOPHER R. | First Impressions

The facility is impressive and the staff for the most part were friendly my problem is with your companies policies I Lost half of my items and now receive collection and lien notices from your company I came to your staff with 4 days remaining on my contract and asked if I could add the after hours access to my account because i knew that I wasn't going to have time to remove everything and clean my unit I was told sure for $10 I asked if it could be prorated and was told no we don't prorate anything with the pandemic and losing my job I was having a tough time I didn't have the $10 so I defaulted on my unit and the $105 that I didn't have is now almost $500 that I still don't have all because your company didn't want to help out the very soul of your business the costumer without them you wouldn't be where you are today nor will you stay there prorating doesn't cost your company anything because you still get the rate per rental you would normally get and you would help someone down on their luck you should consider itEdward T. | Overall Experience
